“Raised me?” Ye Mo scoffed. “Are you joking? She deducted one-third of the nutrition supplements the country provided for me. She forced me to sleep on the floor, and she took all the clothes Grandma and Aunt bought for me!”

“If she had treated Momo well from the start, I might have considered her a true daughter-in-law,” Grandma Yu replied coldly. “But she didn’t, did she?”

“That was a long time ago,” Yu Feng Qi said, frustrated.

“And just because it was a long time ago, you don’t need to take responsibility?” a voice interjected. It was Yan Ming Xiu, the district chief, who had come for an investigative visit. She had overheard Yu Feng Qi’s words and turned to Grandma Yu, asking, “Madam Yu, do you want to file a claim for ownership of the house?”

“Yes! If I don’t, I probably won’t have a place to live in the future,” Grandma Yu replied, now equally angry.

Ye Mo, who had initially planned to reveal that she had a house, decided to remain silent. With a father like hers, she realized that if he knew, he would likely scheme against her own property next.

In the end, Yu Feng Qi left, having lost everything. With the help of District Chief Yan Ming Xiu, Grandma Yu’s claim for ownership was granted that afternoon, and the house returned to her name.
