Finally Sent Away
The key difference between a puppet child and a robot child is that the puppet child can simulate a human heartbeat, a feature the robot child lacks.
In the days that followed, Yu He continued to make a fuss next door to Ye Mo, performing her one-woman shows of sisterly affection. The fake wife in the room never emerged, not even to exchange a single word.
But Yu He was simply obsessed with performing!
There was a moment when Ye Mo began to wonder if Yu He was the fake heroine, considering how irritating she seemed.
Although Yu He couldn’t get inside, she noticed something. During this period, there was a child who was constantly making a racket—crying incessantly!
Inside, Ye Mo’s patience was wearing thin, becoming increasingly irritable, to the point that her tone of voice even changed at times.
On a few occasions, Yu He saw some officers taking the child out to calm it down.
The child was indeed very cute. Yu He even wished she could hold it herself. However, the officers would always take the child into their rooms, never giving her a chance.
“Big Sister, let me help you with the child. I’m good with kids!” Yu He would say, adding this to her usual lines.
Yu He was intensely envious of the puppet child. If only it were hers!
Initially, she had planned to sell Ye Mo’s child for money, but now she just wanted to get a child from Ye Mo to keep for herself.
With more and more women around Prince Caser, Yu He, who had an ordinary appearance, was running out of opportunities.
If she had a child, even if it was adopted, Prince Caser would likely give her more opportunities out of favour for the child.
Because of Yu He’s sincere behaviour, she occasionally managed to exchange a few words with the fake wife through the door.
About a week later, Yu He noticed that Ye Mo could no longer tolerate the noisy child. Seizing the opportunity when an officer took the child out and the door was open, Yu He called out loudly, “Sister, let me take care of the child. I promise I can handle it well.”
From inside the room, Ye Mo’s voice nearly screamed in frustration, “Take it away, quickly! It’s yours now!”
Yu He immediately took the child from the officer’s arms. She noticed the officer’s eyes were red. She didn’t expect that Mo Mo’s people would be so loyal to him. She quickly said, “You heard it. My sister told me to take it. It’s my nephew.”
Taking advantage of the officer’s stunned reaction, Yu He ran off with the child, who seemed to quiet down as she fled. At least it didn’t make a sound while she was running.
When Yu He brought the child back to her room, she excitedly showed it to her mother. “Mom, look! Look quickly!”
Yuan Lili saw the child in Yu He’s arms and asked, “He’er, where did you steal this child from?”
“Mom, how can you say that? I didn’t steal the child. I got it from my sister, who didn’t want it. Now it’s my child.”
“She didn’t want it?” Yuan Lili’s eyes widened in disbelief. “How could that be? Such a valuable child, worth at least a hundred million. She just gave it up?”
Could Ye Mo have lost her mind?
But Yuan Lili was pleased. “With this child, your position is secured. When you reach the Main Star One, the Prince will definitely grant you a status.”
Even if it was as a secondary wife, it was still better than being an ordinary consort, especially since Prince Caser already had a primary wife.
At this moment, Yuan Lili and Yu He were unaware that Prince Caser had not only a primary wife but also five secondary wives.
Meanwhile, the guard who had handed over the child returned to his room after Yu He took it. He laughed to himself, celebrating the success of finally getting rid of the troublesome puppet child.
To be honest, they had only bothered the puppet child during the first two days. After that, it was just unbearable—so much so that even the fake wife’s robotic nanny couldn’t handle it.
Oh my, one could only wonder how Ye Mo came up with such a devious method. How many days could Yu He tolerate this?
Ye Mo noticed that the puppet child had finally ended up with Yu He. She smiled, knowing that the puppet child was now behaving well, though that might change in the evening.
Ye Mo sent a message to Mo Mo, informing him that the child had been successfully delivered.
Mo Mo was delighted. “Momo, baby, you’re amazing!” After being apart for a while, Mo Mo really missed Ye Mo, but the distance between them was still too great.
Mo Mo wished he could develop a means for long-distance teleportation. While technology couldn’t achieve it, it might be possible through cultivation techniques, but his current cultivation level wasn’t enough.
Determined, Mo Mo began intensive training. He was genuinely concerned that if Ye Mo continued to cultivate at such a pace, she might surpass him by the next time they met.
Meanwhile, Ye Mo’s cultivation in the space was progressing rapidly. Even though less than a month had passed, her spiritual body cultivation had reached the eighth level of Qi Refinement. More importantly, she found that her spiritual body was becoming increasingly compatible with the original owner’s body, while her soul was adapting better to the puppet body.
Ye Mo was at a loss. Should she continue using this puppet body and use her real body as clone?
Sighing, Ye Mo slid into the dark waters of the Yin side of the pool for more cultivation. As long as her spiritual body reached the Foundation Establishment stage, she could assist the children.
Nearby, six little ones crawled on a mat, watching her. The old butler and a few robotic nanny stood by.
“Ah! Ah!” Guaiguai crawled on the mat and waved his hands at Ye Mo.
Ye Mo waved back. “Little Guaiguai, are you greeting Mommy?”
Seeing Ye Mo’s response, Guaiguai cried out even more energetically and used his tiny legs to move forward.
Guaiguai realized that moving like this brought him closer to Mommy, so he kicked his legs more vigorously, inching toward the pool.
Ye Mo quickly erected a barrier around the dark water. The little ones would be fine if they fell onto the yang side, but if they fell into the yin side, it would be a dead end.
“Ah!” Each cry made Guaiguai move further away from the mat and closer to Ye Mo.
The other five little ones saw their sibling approaching Mommy and grew anxious.
However, they couldn’t mimic the Guaiguai’s method and only flailed their limbs in frustration. By now, Guaiguai had reached Ye Mo’s side. With the barrier in place, he couldn’t get any closer. Ye Mo reached out and grabbed Guaiguai’s hand. “What are you doing, little guy? Why are you coming to find Mommy?”
