A New Body of Her Own
Luckily, this body was finally accepted by the children, which meant it was safe.
Ye Mo controlled her clone, which hadn’t reached the Foundation Establishment stage yet. She immersed the body in the Yang side of the pool and began cultivating with renewed vigour. Whether it was because her soul was complete or because the messy remnants had been cleared out, her cultivation speed increased significantly.
It took about two days to cultivate this body to the Foundation Establishment stage. Once she stabilized her cultivation, Ye Mo started examining each of the children.
All six little ones had bodies suitable for cultivation. Ye Mo brought out a tool to test their elemental roots. Guaiguai had a lightning root, which likely explained his difficulty controlling his outbursts. Baobao and Niuniu had wind roots, while the remaining three, Yueyue, Qianqian, and Beibei, all had fire roots. All six had single elemental roots, which would make their cultivation progress rapid. Although this might bring future challenges, Ye Mo’s immediate priority was addressing their current physical issues.
The six children’s uncontrolled energies put them at risk of self-destruction, a threat Ye Mo was determined to eliminate early. She and the old butler spent three days selecting suitable cultivation methods for the children. As long as they started cultivating, their bodies would stabilize. While they would eventually need to worry about the dangers of energy deviation, their young minds were simple enough that it likely wouldn’t be a concern yet.
Once the methods were chosen, Ye Mo first comprehended the lightning technique with her clone, and then directly imparted it into Guaiguai’s consciousness. She guided him in cultivation, which took ten days due to his young age. Throughout this period, Ye Mo taught Guaiguai the route of the exercise, discovering that once this route for the technique was mastered, his cultivation would continue even in his sleep.
Next, Ye Mo tackled the wind technique, simultaneously imparting it to Baobao and Niuniu. With prior experience from guiding Guaiguai, she managed to lead them in just eight days. Like Guai Guai, they continued cultivating even while asleep.
Finally, it was the turn of the fire-rooted trio. This time, Ye Mo guided all three at once. Although there was an additional child to guide, her previous experience meant she still completed it in eight days. The trio, just like their siblings, could now cultivate even while resting.
By the end of this, Guaiguai had reached the third level of Qi Refinement in just sixteen days, much to Ye Mo’s envy. She couldn’t help but wonder why her own progress was so slow in comparison. Why could her children cultivate even in their sleep, but she couldn’t?
As she pondered, Ye Mo glanced at her original body soaking in the dark water. She found herself torn between which body to consider her true self. Deep down, she had reservations about using a puppet body; it just didn’t feel genuinely human to her, despite being indistinguishable from a real person.
Ye Mo then entertained a new idea: Could she possibly merge her soul and spiritual body(the spiritual body that she had cultivated in the past when she kind of lost her ghostly body) into one?
Ye Mo extracted both her soul and spiritual body, initiating a fusion process. According to the clone technique’s manual, such a fusion would greatly enhance her abilities. However, unlike others whose clones matched their primary attributes, Ye Mo’s clone and original bodies were complete opposites.
To avoid unforeseen complications, she immersed herself in the border of the Yin-Yang waters during the fusion. Meanwhile, the six children, engrossed in their budding cultivation, were placed by the old butler into small pools filled with vitality water to enhance their training. This newfound preoccupation meant they weren’t clinging to Ye Mo as much, allowing her the peace to proceed with her fusion.
Over ten days, Ye Mo meticulously applied the same guiding principles she used on the children. When she awoke from the fusion, she found that although she had merged both her soul and spiritual forms, she had also manifested a tangible, solid body.
The Yin-Yang pool had actually helped solidify her body! However, the stringent conditions for this achievement were rare, with the simultaneous presence of both spiritual and soul bodies being just the beginning.
Ye Mo was elated. She finally had a body of her own and no longer needed to rely on the original host’s body. Emerging from the pool, even the old butler was astonished.
“You’ve formed a body on your own, young master?” he exclaimed.
“Yes, I’m surprised myself at how this happened,” Ye Mo replied, beaming with excitement. With her spiritual and soul bodies fused, she could now soak in both life force and dark waters. Her cultivation had advanced significantly; she could now train in both orthodox cultivation techniques and techniques of the dark world, effortlessly switching between them.
Her spiritual roots were a combination of wind and fire. She touched her chin and thought that Mo Mo probably had the thunder spiritual root. Otherwise, where did Guaiguai’s thunder spiritual root come from
Ye Mo’s cultivation in the orthodox path had reached late Foundation Establishment, while her dark path level was now sixty, just one level shy of becoming a junior ghost general.
Feeling accomplished, Ye Mo decided it was time to leave her secluded space. As she exited, Baobao flew into her arms; his cultivation in the wind path had reached the third level of Qi Refinement, enabling short-distance flight.
Ye Mo stepped outside with Baobao, using her spiritual sense to observe the situation around her. She saw Yu He and her mother nearby. Over the past month, they seemed to have rested well and looked much better than before.
Although the puppet doll was still causing trouble, Yu He and her mother had grown accustomed to it. Ye Mo noticed Yu He instructing her attendants on how to care for the doll. Apparently, she had finally learned how to nurture a child.
Ye Mo also observed that the puppet doll had grown considerably, and she raised an eyebrow in intrigue. This growth mechanism was impressive. Since obtaining the child, Yu He had avoided lingering near the fake mistress, fearing she might take the child away.
Meanwhile, Zhang Yuming was now stationed at the fake mistress’s door, refusing to leave. He too wanted Yu He’s luck, hoping to get a child of his own. He had heard that if he could secure a child, he’d immediately be offered 300 million star coins!
