Ye Mo wasn’t too worried about herself; after all, she had her own space to retreat into. However, the personal guards and interstellar warriors that Mo Mo had sent to protect her weren’t as fortunate. A single mistake could turn them into floating debris in space.
She decided to let it go for now. Fortunately, Madam Rhine hadn’t completely betrayed her, but who knew if Prince Caser would trace things back to her?
That night, the guards suggested moving Ye Mo to a different room, but she refused, having noticed that the room was already under surveillance.
Ye Mo informed the guards of this and assured them that even if she switched rooms, they could always stay in contact through the communicator. She left the room that night while remaining invisible and found a vacant cabin that hadn’t been occupied — the owner had apparently failed to board the ship, which worked out well for her.
Lan Feng told Ye Mo that they had about two months before they would enter District 1. Once they were there, they could leave the ship anytime. Although this ship had set off from District Eight, it didn’t belong to Mo Mo, so it would be best for them to control their own path from then on — especially since Prince Caser had his eye on them.
Just a few more months of patience.
Ye Mo sighed. She had initially promised to show her six little ones more of the world, but that plan would have to wait. For now, it was better to focus on training and spending time with her six little treasures.
After informing her guards, Ye Mo secluded herself for cultivation. Meanwhile, Prince Caser had men keeping a close eye on her room, without relaxing their surveillance for even a moment.
Prince Caser couldn’t shake a strange feeling when he first saw Ye Mo — as if he knew this woman. However, when he later saw the fake lady, the feeling disappeared. But that sensation returned when he saw her back the other day. He knew this person.
Why? Why did she seem so familiar?
He wasn’t the type to be interested in a married woman, yet this one stirred something in him — a deep, inexplicable familiarity. Despite this, he couldn’t recall when or where they might have met.
During the following days, Lan Feng and the others noticed that Prince Caser’s men were monitoring them closely. Nevertheless, Ye Mo would contact them every couple of days to assure them of her safety. As long as they knew she was safe, the guards could carry on with their own training and activities in their rooms.
During this time, everyone worked hard on improving their special abilities. Over time, about half of them had advanced to Level 1 in their powers. The ten guards, including Lan Feng, were the first to reach this level, thanks to Ye Mo’s detailed instructions.
One day, Ye Mo informed them that she was going into full seclusion. After that, they didn’t hear from her again.
Mo Mo, on the other hand, also learned about Ye Mo’s seclusion. He knew she was trying to break through to the rank of Junior Ghost General. If he didn’t push himself harder, he would soon be left behind by his own wife.
Ye Mo had also spoken with her six little ones, explaining that she’d be focusing on her training and asked them to behave themselves and not give the butler any trouble. The six agreed, knowing that they too were working hard to improve their own cultivation. Although they were still small, they had already reached the Foundation Establishment stage in their training.
In truth, it was their progress that gave Ye Mo a sense of urgency. She herself had only reached the late Foundation Establishment stage. With her kids about to catch up, it was embarrassing for her if she didn’t improve further.
Ye Mo continued her training while sitting on the boundary of the Yin-Yang Water. Her body could now absorb both the vital energy from the Life Water and the destructive force of the Black Water, making her cultivation twice as effective.
On the sixth day of her seclusion, the six little ones, who had been playing in the Life Water, suddenly scrambled out in alarm — the water had started to boil!
The butler quickly whisked the children away from the pool. The water’s boiling was caused by Ye Mo’s advancement, and the Black Water had started to spray outward. If it touched the children, their bodies would be corroded instantly — it was no ordinary substance.
The butler hurriedly brought the children inside the villa, fearing that the dangerous Black Water, now gushing from the pool, would harm them. The pool’s water destroyed the surrounding environment, turning the once lush greenery into a black, ashen wasteland. The butler couldn’t help but think the ground now looked like the roads of the Dark Realm.
After all, he knew his master had come from the Dark Realm.
Meanwhile, Ye Mo’s face alternated between red and pale as the two energies inside her body — the distinct Yin and Yang forces — began to circulate rapidly and slowly merge.
Ye Mo was unaware of what was happening in her body; she was deep in cultivation. The situation continued for about a day before the waters of the Yin-Yang Pool finally calmed. Even then, the butler didn’t let the children go outside, preferring to observe the situation from the villa’s screens.
Ye Mo was undergoing the process of merging her energy into a core. Above the Yin-Yang Pool, a small black cloud began to form. It wasn’t large, but the energy within the cloud sent a shiver of fear through the six children, even from inside the villa.
“What is that?”
“Is that Mom’s tribulation cloud?”
“Yes, it must be!”
“It’s terrifying!”
The six little ones huddled together. Outside the ship, the sky erupted in lightning and thunder.
Prince Caser felt a strange sense of familiarity as he looked out at the storm. Why did it seem so familiar, yet he couldn’t place it?
Inside the ship, everyone was frightened by the storm, but Prince Caser felt drawn to it. He hurried to the deck, which was completely deserted. The moment he stepped outside, he seemed to become a target. A bolt of lightning struck him, knocking him unconscious.
One after another, the lightning bolts continued to rain down on him.
Meanwhile, Ye Mo was enduring her own lightning tribulation in her space — a necessary trial for forming her core.
Two days and two nights later, Ye Mo slowly woke up. She had now officially become Junior Ghost General (although in chapter 91, she already become junior ghost general (level 61) but now although still the same but different level I guess (maybe her level has risen to level 65-70, one level away from becoming intermediate ghost general)), while her cultivation level had entered the Golden Core stage.
A smile spread across her face. Her current power was equivalent to double that of an average Golden Core stage cultivator or a Junior Ghost General.
