Chapter 2: The Tricks Green Tea Uses
In just a few seconds, Gu Yan Zhi went from shock to a gloomy expression. Was this another plan of hers, going soft after being hard?
Gu Yan Zhi closed his eyes, regaining his composure from the shock. When he opened his eyes again, the coldness returned to his brows, with a hint of anger.
He stretched out his long arm, pulling the soft little girl who was pressing on him off of him. Then he got up and sat on the bed.
Ruan Yu separated from Gu Yan Zhi, her nose turning sour, her face full of grievance, her voice choked with sobs, “Gu Yan Zhi, I want you to hug me, can you?”
Gu Yan Zhi steadied his mind, his voice as cold as a knife, “Is it that as long as you can leave me and be with that man, you’ll try every method?”
Thinking about it, the anger in his heart was about to burn away his remaining reason. His voice lowered, with a strong sense of oppression, “This life, I won’t allow you to leave my sight, and I won’t let you leave. Give up on that idea.”
Ruan Yu slowly moved behind Gu Yan Zhi, her soft, boneless arms wrapping around his neck from behind, her body pressed against his back, her cheek against his side. “I’m not stupid, I wouldn’t leave Yan Zhi Gege.”
She thought for a moment, “Yan Zhi Gege, you wouldn’t have someone else outside, and you’re tired of A Yu, would you?”
She blinked her clear, innocent eyes.
Before she was born, she was betrothed to Gu Yan Zhi. They were childhood sweethearts.
When she was six years old, her parents went on a business trip, and their plane crashed. No one survived that plane crash. The young her lived with her grandfather.
When she was thirteen, her grandfather had a heart attack and died. He didn’t survive the rescue. It seemed like he knew he didn’t have much time left, and he had already planned for her future, sending her to live with the Gu family.
After her grandfather’s funeral, she was taken back to the Gu family by the nineteen-year-old Gu Yan Zhi.
He found her the best school, and everything she wore, ate, and used was the best.
Until she was eighteen, she accidentally saw Gu Yan Zhi torture someone with extreme cruelty. From then on, she started to avoid him.
Overnight, their relationship changed subtly.
It wasn’t good or bad, but it wasn’t as close as it used to be.
Later, the two people she trusted most fanned the flames in her ear, and the simple, innocent her became increasingly disgusted with Gu Yan Zhi.
From then on, she trampled on Gu Yan Zhi’s heart, saying and doing everything to hurt him.
Gu Yan Zhi calmed down his heart, which wanted to hold Ruan Yu tightly in his arms. He was afraid that the warmth would only last a few seconds, afraid that it was all her calculation, afraid that she would turn around and her eyes would be full of disgust for him.
“Don’t you know if I love you or not?” He frowned, hardened his heart, pulled Ruan Yu’s arms from around his neck, got up from the bed, walked a few steps towards the bedroom door, then stopped. “If you don’t want everyone in the Gu mansion to starve because of you, come down to eat now.”
He didn’t turn around. After he finished speaking, he took a step and prepared to leave Ruan Yu’s bedroom.
Ruan Yu looked at his tall back, her heart hardened. She rolled off the bed and fell to the floor, making a dull thud. She couldn’t help but cry out in pain.
There was a thick carpet on the floor, and she couldn’t feel any pain from falling. It was just that she was careless and her leg hit the bed leg, causing her eyes to fill with tears.
The girl who had been pampered since she was a child had delicate skin. In an instant, a bruise appeared on her white and smooth calf.
Gu Yan Zhi gritted his teeth, thinking she was playing another trick. He hardened his heart and prepared to leave, but he couldn’t help but worry. In the end, he gave in, sighed, turned around, squatted down, stretched out his long arm, picked Ruan Yu up from the ground, and gently placed her on the bed.
This life, he was trapped by this little girl, completely controlled by her.
He frowned, with a hint of anger between his brows, but his voice couldn’t hide his worry, “Where did you hit? Does it hurt?”
She knew that Gu Yan Zhi wouldn’t ignore her. From childhood to adulthood, she had always believed that, so this became her confidence in front of him in her previous life. Relying on his love, she recklessly hurt him.
“It hurts…” Ruan Yu frowned slightly, blinked her misty eyes, pouted her lips in grievance, and pointed her pink little finger at her heart, her voice full of coquetry, “It will hurt even more if you ignore me.”
“I’m not ignoring you.” Gu Yan Zhi sighed, got up and rummaged through the drawer of the table, took out a tube of ointment, opened it, put the ointment in his palm, rubbed it evenly, then put it on her bruised calf and rubbed it gently, “
