Reborn Little Fairy: Wild in Gu’s Heart (RLFWGH) Chapter 72

Chapter 72: Ex-Boyfriend

Night, a bar.

The music was deafening, and colorful lights were swirling.

Yang Ke struggled to find the booth her friend had booked. She looked at her two friends, whom she hadn’t seen in a long time, and who were also her few friends.

She walked over, smiling brightly, “Jing Yi, Ling Yao, long time no see.”

Zhao Jing Yi and Ling Yao were her college roommates.

Zhao Jing Yi stood up and pulled Yang Ke to sit down, her face full of joy, “Ke Ke, you’ve become even more beautiful in the past three years.”

Ling Yao nodded, warmly pouring Yang Ke a glass of wine and pushing it in front of her, “Of course. Our Ke Ke was the school’s recognized beauty back then, the dream girl of all the boys.”

Yang Ke just curled her lips. She wasn’t very talkative to begin with.

After three years of not seeing each other, Yang Ke was a little restrained and couldn’t let go at first.

Her two friends were just like they were three years ago, chattering non-stop, pulling her into the conversation.

Zhao Jing Yi raised her glass, “Tonight is a girls’ night out. We’re going to drink until we drop, to celebrate Ke Ke’s return.”

There were four or five bottles of wine on the table, all opened.

After a while, Ling Yao pulled Yang Ke to observe the handsome guys around, just like her usual flower-chasing image.

“Ke Ke, look at the man in the top right corner. He looks good, and his figure seems good too.”

Yang Ke followed her gaze and nodded lightly, “Not bad.”

She wasn’t interested in these things.

Ling Yao was observing the surroundings with starry eyes.

After a while, Ling Yao tugged at her sleeve, “Ke Ke, look at the man five meters away in the top left corner. He looks like your ex-boyfriend.”

Yang Ke’s hand holding the wine glass paused. After a while, she looked in the direction Ling Yao had indicated.

The man in the booth was wearing a floral shirt, with a痞气(pi qi) all over him. He had high cheekbones, a pair of beautiful桃花眼(tao hua yan), and a slightly curled lip, unrestrained and dissolute.

He was surrounded by women, with a beautiful woman’s good figure pressed tightly against him.

It was him.

He had changed, but he hadn’t changed.

Yang Ke’s eyelashes fluttered, and her hand holding the wine glass tightened.

The man seemed to feel the intense gaze and looked in her direction. Their eyes met.

Yang Ke avoided the man’s gaze, lowered her head to look at the wine glass in her hand, paused for a moment, and finished the wine in the glass in one gulp.

Shen Yu’s gaze was fixed on the familiar figure, staring for a long time.

The woman in his arms put a piece of fruit to his mouth. Seeing that he didn’t react for a long time, she said coquettishly, “Young Master Shen, eat some fruit.”

Shen Yu came to his senses, gave a playful smile, and ate the fruit that the woman had put to his lips.

Yang Ke controlled herself not to look in his direction, but as if she was seeking abuse, she occasionally glanced over there.

Her heart was inexplicably blocked. It had been three years, but it felt like it was yesterday.

She didn’t usually drink much, but today she had poured herself five or six glasses of wine. Her stomach was burning, and she felt very uncomfortable.

Zhao Jing Yi and Ling Yao saw that Yang Ke’s mood was off, so they decided to end the gathering quickly.

They had had enough to drink, and it was time to leave.

The three of them walked out of the bar together. Yang Ke said goodbye to the two of them.

Seeing that Yang Ke had drunk a lot, the two of them were worried and wanted to send her home first, but Yang Ke refused.

Yang Ke’s personality was like that. She didn’t like to trouble others, even her close friends.

The two of them could only give her a few instructions, telling her to be careful on the way home, and then left.

Shen Yu saw the people in the booth leave and lost his mood. He got up to pay the bill.

After drinking a few glasses of wine, Yang Ke’s stomach started to feel uncomfortable. She was about to hail a taxi home. She had just taken two steps when her stomach cramped, and the pain made her gasp for breath.

She pressed her hands tightly against her stomach, trying to ease the pain, but it didn’t seem to work.

She leaned against the wall, trying to hold on, and first hail a taxi home to take some medicine.

Her stomach ached so badly that her whole body felt weak. When she stood up, her legs trembled, her face was pale, and fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.

She regretted it a little. She knew she would be drinking today, but she didn’t eat anything. Drinking on an empty stomach, she really deserved it.

She squatted on the ground, her hands pressing tightly against her stomach, her head lowered, her hair on both sides falling over her cheeks, covering her pale face.

Shen Yu paid the bill and came out of the bar. He put out the cigarette in his hand and threw it into the trash can.

He picked up his phone and glanced at it. He dialed a number and hung up after less than a minute.

He put out the phone screen and looked up. In his peripheral vision, someone was squatting at the entrance of the bar.

Even though her hair covered her cheeks, he recognized her at a glance.

The driver parked the car in front of Shen Yu, waiting for him to get in.

Yang Ke was still squatting there, her head lowered, motionless.

Shen Yu felt a little agitated. He got in the car and was about to tell the driver to leave, but he opened the door and got out again.

Driver: “…”

Shen Yu thought of something, got out of the car and looked at the person squatting there. He realized something was wrong.

Yang Ke was biting her teeth tightly, hoping that this stomach ache would be like the usual ones, a sharp pain that would pass after a while.

Suddenly, a familiar voice came from above her head.

“Hey, are you okay?” His voice was emotionless, as if he was greeting a stranger who needed help.

Yang Ke raised her head and curled her lips, “I’m fine, thank you.”

Seeing her pale face, Shen Yu said impatiently, “You look like a ghost. You still say you’re fine.”

Yang Ke didn’t bother with him. She had seen his sarcastic attitude years ago, and he was still the same after three years, not changing at all.

“Stomach ache?” Shen Yu asked casually.

Yang Ke nodded numbly, not saying anything.

She had been squatting for too long, and coupled with the pain, her body swayed to the side. Shen Yu quickly reached out and grabbed her collar, “Come on, I’ll take you to the hospital.”

“Thank you.” She thanked him for catching her so she didn’t fall, then shook her head, “No need for the hospital. I won’t trouble you.”

Shen Yu snorted, “Yang Ke, can you change your habit of not wanting to trouble others? Are you planning to die here today?”

His tone was very bad, with a hint of anger.

“I don’t know you well.” Yang Ke gritted her teeth, “So it doesn’t matter to you whether I live or die.”

Shen Yu lost his patience. The hand at his side tightened and then loosened. He directly picked up Yang Ke and walked towards the driver.

Yang Ke struggled, attracting the attention of many passersby, “Shen Yu, what are you doing? Put me down.”

Shen Yu’s eyes flashed with a cold light, letting her hit him.

His movements were not gentle at all. He directly opened the car door, stuffed Yang Ke inside, closed the door, and looked at the driver, “Take her to the hospital.”

He didn’t get in the car himself.

The driver hesitated, “Sir, then you…”

Shen Yu was impatient, “Just go when I tell you to. Don’t ask so many questions.”

Yang Ke pounded on the window. The car door was locked and couldn’t be opened, “Shen Yu, let me out.”

Shen Yu didn’t even give her a glance. He turned and went back into the bar.
