Yuxue’s company building had a total of thirty-nine floors. The top floor contained the president’s office, reception room and the president’s assistant’s workplace.
Most of Yu Xing’s daily work was sitting in the office, making decisions on major projects, and reviewing and approving proposals submitted by employees.
After taking over Yuxue from his parents, Yu Xing had been doing his best to further develop the company. His talent in business was extremely high, and he had basically made no major mistakes in the decisions he had made over the years. Today, Yuxue was no longer the small business it once was, but a behemoth that no one could ignore.
As the president of a mature listed company, he had countless employees under his command and no longer need to personally handle everything on his own. Yu Xing wasn’t an authoritarian person. He understands the principle of employing people and not doubting them without reason. He would hand over whatever his subordinates could do. But even so, he was still incomparably busy every day.
From the time he entered the company in the morning until noon, Yu Xing had no time to spare until his assistant knocked on the office door and brought him a packed lunch.
“President, your meal is here.”
Yu Xing was sitting behind the desk, his head still lowered and was focusing on the documents in his hands. He said without raising his head, “Just leave it on the table, you can go have a break.”
The assistant stood still, hesitating whether he should speak or not.
Noticing that he hadn’t left, Yu Xing looked up. “Is something wrong?”
There was indeed something, and it was about Yu Mian. In the past, every time he reported news about Yu Mian to the president, he would always look very cold, as if he was extremely tired of his sister. However, he would still pinch the bridge of his nose and clean up her mess.
So when it comes to Yu Mian’s matter, the assistant was always on tenterhooks.
The assistant looked at his face and couldn’t tell Yu Xing’s emotion from his calm face. He cautiously tested the water, “President, it’s Miss Yu Mian’s side……”
“What’s the matter?” Putting down the documents in his hands, Yu Xing’s expression was indistinguishable.
The assistant thought about how he should word it, not wanting to feel the cold and low pressure of the president like before. He started by saying, “It’s not a big deal. Miss Yu Mian didn’t do anything this time. It’s just that I saw people slandering Miss Yu Mian on their school forum, so I wanted to ask you how to deal with it.”
Yu Xing didn’t blame his assistant for saying so. Yu Mian was really so outrageous in the past. Since middle school, teachers have been constantly calling their parents to complain about Yu Mian’s behavior. At first, they always contacted the Yu parents. Later, Yu Xing found that every time they received a call, the Yu parents would feel sad and depressed, and so Yu Mian’s contact person was changed to him.
When she got to university, there were a lot less calls. Most university teachers didn’t care whether students came to class or not. Learning in university basically relies on self-consciousness. It was mostly fine as long as one didn’t fail the final exam.
If one didn’t study and fail the exams, then they would naturally repeat a year.
Yu Mian caused too many troubles in middle school and high school. Yu Xing simply asked his assistant to pay special attention to Yu Mian’s situation in school. Once he found that she was getting into trouble, he would stop her in time. Fortunately, Yu Mian wasn’t expelled from the school.
When Yu Xing first heard his assistant mention Yu Mian, he was surprised, but there was also a hint of disappointment.
He had also seen the changes in Yu Mian these days. He originally thought that she had really changed her ways and also had a new perspective of her. And for the first time, he realized his responsibility as an elder brother and truly recognized her as his younger sister.
So she still couldn’t changer her nature?
But his assistant’s next words made him realize that he must have misunderstood.
“Show it to me.”
Compared with ‘Yu Mian was bullied’ and ‘Yu Mian got into trouble again’, Yu Xing found that the former one seemed to make him even angrier.
That considerate and lovely girl almost perfectly matched his image of a younger sister. Just imagining her being bullied in his mind, Yu Xing felt a surge of anger welling up from the bottom of his heart, and his black eyes instantly turned frosty.
The assistant stepped forward tremblingly under his cold gaze. He found the post he had bookmarked and showed it to him.
Yu Xing held the phone and swiped his thumb on the screen while looking down. The more he looked, the darker his expression became, and the air pressure around his body dropped sharply.
After scrolling all the way to the end and reading all the comments, Yu Xing’s face was already filled with frost, and the aura emanating from his whole body could almost freeze people to death.
In the past few days, he noticed that his younger sister, who had ‘turned over a new leaf’ since coming out of the hospital, had a completely different personality from her previous indifferent and paranoid self. This Yu Mian was gentle, kind, and simply wonderful, like a delicate and beautiful flower that needed careful care.
Yu Xing was aloof and suspicious by nature. It wasn’t that he had never suspected her, but he had tested her and even had a DNA test behind her back. All the data showed that Yu Mian was still the same Yu Mian. As for why her temperament changed greatly, after consulting with the Yu parents, they unanimously agreed that perhaps this was Yu Mian’s other personality.
So even though she had changed so much that she seemed like a different person, the Yu parents still love her as always, and Yu Xing also treated her as a younger sister.
In the past, if his sister was bullied, Yu Xing wouldn’t even bother to take care it, because the old Yu Mian would retaliate on her own, and she wouldn’t let herself suffer losses.
But now his younger sister had an incredibly soft temper. It’s already good if she didn’t get bullied, there’s no need to think about her taking revenge or the like.
“Find out whoever’s manipulating things in the dark and delete the post.”
Throwing back the phone to his assistant, Yu Xing gave the order.
“Y-yes, President.” The assistant wiped his sweat quietly. Their president was so imposing. His face looked so bad when he was looking at his phone just now that the assistant didn’t dare to breathe loudly for fear of being caught in his anger.
It seemed their president still cared about his sister. With this thought, after the assistant stepped out of the office, he headed straight to the cyber security department on the 28th floor.
Since their president attached great importance to this matter, he naturally had to get it done quickly.
The cyber security department was responsible for the company’s system operations and network security. Most of its employees were talents recruited by Yu Xing from many places and has high salaries. They were best at network-related things like finding people’s IP addresses.

At the office, Yu Xing took out his mobile phone without hesitation and made a call.
It was answered after only two rings.
“Brother?” Yu Mian’s voice came out from the receiver, slightly distorted, with a soft tone that revealed a hint of doubt.
“Brother, do you need something?”
Yu Xing was speechless for a moment. Should he say that he saw someone scolding her on the forum? Judging from Yu Mian’s calm tone, she probably hadn’t seen the post yet. What if he told her and she felt hurt?
He paused and then said, “It’s nothing. It’s your first day at school. How does it feel?”
In his mind, this sister wasn’t the same as her previous self, so today was indeed her first day at school.
Yu Mian laughed, her voice becoming softer and more cheerful, “It feels great. The teachers are very professional, the classes are interesting, the food in the cafeteria is delicious, and there’re many beautiful places……”
After counting the points that came to her mind one by one, she caught a glimpsed of Shen Shang to the side and added, “I also met Teacher. I was having lunch with him just now.”
Yu Xing didn’t interrupt her and waited patiently to finish before asking, “What time do you get out of class this afternoon?”
Yu Mian was taken aback, not knowing why he was asking, but she still answered obediently, “I only have one class in the afternoon. It ends at 3:30. Why, Brother?”
Yu Xing: “I’ll pick you up.”
“Huh?”
Yu Mian couldn’t understand the specific situation and wanted to ask the reason. After all, her brother treated people very coldly. She didn’t think that he just wanted to pick her up from school on a whim. She heard Yu Xing succinctly say, “Alright, that’s all.”, and then the phone was hung up.
Yu Mian: “……”
“Your brother?” Shen Shang asked.
Yu Mian nodded and curiously said, “My brother said he would come pick me up in the afternoon. What do you think he meant?”
Shen Shang said lightly, “Instead of being curious about that, shouldn’t you be more concerned about this afternoon’s lesson? It’s a gouache class, have you brought your painting tools?”
After being reminded by him, Yu Mian suddenly felt helpless.
“I didn’t know what class I was going to have today before I came, so I didn’t bring any painting tools.”
Shen Shang said, “The teacher for the next class is Liang Yu, a gouache master. He’s the most serious when it comes to teaching. If you go and didn’t paint, just wait until you fail the class at the end of the semester.”
Yu Mian’s face fell. After thinking for a while, she added, “But based on the number of times I’ve missed classes, I believe most teachers don’t have a good impression of me, so I’m sure I’ll fail the class.”
The two of them had already finished their meal and were coming down from the second floor. Yu Mian glanced around the first floor as if she was a thief. She didn’t see the figure of the young man and she breathed a sigh of relief.
Seeing her strange behavior, Shen Shang didn’t ask anything, only saying, “Let’s go. Come with me to the office first. I’ll give you a set of tools.”
Yu Mian didn’t refuse. Shen Shang looks like someone detached from the world, but in fact it wasn’t really the case. He has a high pursuit of art, and his lessons these days were also meticulous and serious. Although the two of them weren’t a real master and disciple, they’ve developed a bit of that relationship.
