Release the Female Lead Ch. 101

Chapter 101: There’s Demonic Energy

Within Shura Hall, there were beautiful and enchanting women everywhere, when they saw the outsider Ye Wenxin show up, wolfish gleam appeared in their eyes.

If not for the nearby Head Senior Sister Qian Bingxue’s chilling aura, those starving she-wolves would long have pounced on Ye Wenxin, devouring her clean.

Ye Wenxin’s aura was much too unique; since it could attract men it naturally could also attract women to get close. For a dual cultivation sect like Shura Hall, she was simply prime dog food.

“The senior sisters are enthusiastic as ever. Miss Ye, you look rather grim.” The naïve Luo Miaoyi misinterpreted the senior sisters’ greed in good faith, and Ye Wenxin at last understood why there were such strange rumors in the Martial World.

It was said that Shura Hall was the best land of warmth and tenderness (brothel) in the world, every men who came to Shura Hall, whether they be chivalrous warriors or monarchs, all would linger, forgetting to go home, and abandoning one’s wife and children had long become the norm.

Even in the event that a man was lucky enough to escape Shura Hall, unable to forget Shura Hall, he would eventually die from depression.

The people of Shura Hall were beautiful, and their technical work was even more mind-blowing.

Drawing closer, there was a row of translucent gauze curtains, concealing a woman of myriad charms inside, who, amidst the sound of warblers and the chattering of swallows, threw out a human skeleton that had been sucked dry from behind a certain curtain.

As it was the first time Ye Wenxin came across an actual human furnace, she took a gander in that direction somewhat curiously, and then saw a slender jade-like hand stretching out, revealing an enthralling face.

The woman’s face bore a blush, her gaze squarely measuring Ye Wenxin.

Qian Bingxue obstructed Ye Wenxin from view, faintly frowning, slightly displeased by this woman’s conduct.

Luo Miaoyi blinked, saying to the enthralling woman, “Third Senior Sister is in heat (written as shixing dafa/wet prosperity) again!”

The woman called ‘Third Senior Sister’ smiled subtly, bewitching down to her bones, and as she was smiling an electric current hit, eliciting an involuntary shiver from Ye Wenxin, but she returned to normal very quickly.

This woman’s Charm paled in comparison to Liu Churan’s, Ye Wenxin naturally would not fall for it.

Third Senior Sister’s eyes twinkled somewhat, her interest in Ye Wenxin rising.

“Who is this little sister? She’s quite fresh-faced.” As she spoke, she emerged from behind the screen, vivid red like blood; Shura Hall’s garments were revealing to begin with, it appeared even more fiery because of her shapely figure.

Ye Wenxin could not hold back from having a few glances and compare this Third Senior Sister’s figure with Xiao Zhang’s.

“Miss, what are you comparing?” When Qian Bingxue gave no answer, Ye Wenxin unscrupulously appraised her again, causing Third Senior Sister to let slip a laugh like tinkling silver bells.

Her every step was very natural yet magnetic, and Ye Wenxin subconsciously looked behind the woman.

“Little miss, I’m asking you,” said Third Senior Sister. She could tell Ye Wenxin was not affected by her at all, and was a bit miffed.

“I’m checking if you have a tail behind you,” Ye Wenxin just then remembered to answer.

“Tail? It’s not like I’m a Demon (written as Yaozu/Demon Race), where would I get a tail?” Third Senior Sister laughed, marginally amused by Ye Wenxin’s question.

“If sister is not a fox-spirit, how could you be so fetching? Even my soul is about to get hooked,” Ye Wenxin hurried to flatter upon noticing Third Senior Sister’s displeasure.

Third Senior Sister was floored, and then she briefly swayed, as far as Ye Wenxin could see, a tail actually manifested behind her.

Now it was Ye Wenxin’s turn to be baffled, thinking Third Senior Sister must have conjured up the tail to tease her. She cautiously approached, gently touching that tail.

“Ah…Girlie, don’t just randomly grab someone else’s tail.” Third Senior Sister shot Ye Wenxin a glare, her tail thumping the floor, seeming to be fairly disgruntled by Ye Wenxin’s action.

“You’re really a fox?” In this world, she rarely met Demons, let alone those of the fox race like the nine-tailed foxes that could always be found in dog-blooded TV series.

But she never expected to encounter one when she went out this time.

Third Senior Sister laughed again, “This Lowly One’s name is Liu Yansheng, and what you saw just now was merely an illusion.”

“Illusion? Then could you let me touch it again?” Ye Wenxin was incredulous, judging from Liu Yansheng’s reaction earlier, this tail seemed real.

Hearing Ye Wenxin’s request, Liu Yansheng smiled and put the tail back, “You can’t, unless you agree to sleep one night with me,” said Liu Yansheng, licking her lips, without the slightest trace of an everyday woman, her words much more to the point.

“This…”

“Third Senior Sister, don’t tease Miss Ye. She might be young, but she’s an Advanced Alchemist.” Seeing Liu Yansheng flirting with Ye Wenxin, she hastily gave a short introduction on Ye Wenxin’s identity.

This fascinated Liu Yansheng all the more. She drew near and sniffed Ye Wenxin, “You’re right, there are many smells of Advanced-level pills; since this is the case, should I not be given something as a meeting gift?”

Saying this, she lightly leaned on Ye Wenxin’s shoulder as if they were friends. Ye Wenxin knew not whether to laugh or cry, after a moment of thought, she took out a bottle of Conjugation Powder from her bag of holding.

Just the bottle opening had Liu Yansheng’s eyes gleaming, as if she understood the benefits of this pill.

“This is the meeting gift This Humble Girl has prepared for Third Senior Sister. Please agree to my request after accepting it.” While saying this, Ye Wenxin passed the bottle to Liu Yansheng.

Liu Yansheng took it, popped out a pill and licked it once.  Just from that one lick, she recognized how precious this pill was, her stunning eyes narrowed, and her smile further resembled a fox’s grin.

“Speak, what do you want me to do? As long as it’s within my abilities.”

“Please stay a bit further away from me the next time we meet, Senior Sister,” answered Ye Wenxin respectfully, shocking Liu Yansheng for a good few seconds. Luo Miaoyi had yet to react, while Qian Bingxue took a few more glances at Ye Wenxin, seeming to somewhat approve of Ye Wenxin’s approach.

Shura Hall’s Liu Yansheng, ranked tenth on the Unparalleled Beauties List, was commonly known as Black Widow, to say she was one of Shura Hall’s most dangerous characters would not be an exaggeration.

In light of this Liu Yansheng’s cultivation, the Demon Lord could kill her in one hit. But the problem was, Liu Yansheng was Liu Churan’s half-disciple, so Ye Wenxin was reluctant to be any more involved with her.

If things continued like this, sooner or later this pair of master and disciple would tie her up, bring her back, and then imprison her.

“Hahaha, you’re too funny,” Liu Yansheng laughed. She waved the bottle in her hand, placing a soft kiss on it with her gaze on Ye Wenxin, as if implying the kiss was meant for her.

Goosebumps rose all over Ye Wenxin’s body, recalling again the fear of being dominated by Liu Churan that day. She felt she must drop by the Wind and Moon Palace, if Liu Churan capitalized on her closed door training period to have someone make another Immortal Sealing Ring, then she must kill them to prevent it.

Otherwise, she would someday fall head first into the hands of the goddaughter who knew her best.

She secretly swore in her heart, yet was unaware that she had revealed what she intended to hide, further piquing Liu Yansheng’s interest.

“You have to be careful, Miss Ye, Third Senior Sister’s heat period happened to arrive recently, she already killed over a dozen big men.” Luo Miaoyi was quite worried, Ye Wenxin’s method of feigning surrender drew even more attention from Liu Yansheng instead.

“You’re really not a fox?” The more Ye Wenxin listened, the more she felt that something was wrong, although Liu Yansheng did not have the scent of a fox, the feel of that tail before was much too tangible, and Luo Miaoyi’s description insistently made Ye Wenxin call to mind the animal world.

When a fox’s springtime came, it would emit a signal.

And this was the feeling Liu Yansheng gave her at this very moment, the desire in her eyes was too much, as if it could overflow immediately.

“You jest, Miss Ye. Ever since the Human Race signed a treaty with the Demon Race thousands of years ago, Demons have long been unwilling to step into this side.” Luo Miaoyi just thought Ye Wenxin was brooding after being toyed with by Liu Yansheng, and offered this brief explanation. Ye Wenxin nodded, a little uneasiness seeping into her heart for some unknown reason.

“Miss Qian, can I go down the mountain right after meeting the Hall Master? I have the persistent feeling your Third Senior Sister wants to do something to me tonight.” Ye Wenxin was still very concerned about her own safety, she deeply regretted giving those poor quality Conjugation Powders to Liu Yansheng, making her feel insecure as a result.

“I’m not sure, but there’s no sight of Master today.” Qian Bingxue’s reply remained simple as usual, not putting Ye Wenxin’s pitiful and helpless predicament into consideration at all.

Ye Wenxin knew Qian Bingxue was cold-blooded and merciless, but she did not think she would be merciless to such a degree.

“Where has your Hall Master gone?” Ye Wenxin was rendered dumbfounded again.

“Master is currently lost in thought.”

Ye Wenxin already rued it, she rued choosing such a terrible day to go up the mountain, “I’ll come back tomorrow then.”

Qian Bingxue popped out several words, “That’s if you can walk out this door safe and sound.”

Looking again, a bunch of people had emerged behind her at some point, revealing insatiable looks in their eyes as they stared at Ye Wenxin.  Ye Wenxin was startled back a step, once again reminiscing the time she had spent in that cavern, at least, no matter what she fed Fairy Fengya, Fairy Fengya would never turn into a beast.

However, now in this Shura Hall, whatever she did, those that stood before her were all living and breathing she-beasts.

“I’m sleepy all of a sudden. Miss Qian, may I trouble you to bring me somewhere to rest?” Ye Wenxin gave up struggling, obediently continued to follow Qian Bingxue, and was quickly led to an isolated room.

“You rest well. I’ll take you to see Master tomorrow.” Qian Bingxue watched Ye Wenxin go in, flung a sentence before leaving swiftly. As for Luo Miaoyi, even though it was useless for her to stay, Ye Wenxin still tacitly approved of her as a room companion and began to squander her remaining pills.

“Miss Ye, what do you plan to do with these?” Luo Miaoyi watched Ye Wenxin grinding the pills into powder, and thinking it strange, she asked her the reason.

Ye Wenxin quirked the corner of her mouth and put the grinded powder back into the bottle, saying, “Why, I’m guarding the tree stump and waiting for the fox1, of course.”

“Fox? It’s already been clarified that Third Senior Sister isn’t a fox.”

“I didn’t mention Third Senior Sister, how would you know I’m talking about her?” Ye Wenxin retorted. Luo Miaoyi was speechless for a while, so she remained silent as she over there drinking tea.

  1. The original idiom is ‘to guard a tree-stump, waiting for rabbits’, meaning to wait idly for opportunities/ to trust to chance rather than showing initiative ↩︎
