Chapter 135: The Correct Use of Heart Poison
Ye Wenxin was mentally prepared to answer any questions Ling Jue might ask, but Ling Jue, the inquirer, looked hesitant, as if unsure whether she should ask this question.
Ye Wenxin’s hand continued to glide down Ling Jue’s back, feeling the warmth of her skin. The sensation tempted Ye Wenxin to touch some more, but afraid of angering Ling Jue, she pretended to do it unintentionally.
Maybe Ye Wenxin’s behavior finally got Ling Jue to make up her mind, she took a deep breath and then turned to Ye Wenxin.
“Do you…have a sweetheart?”
“Never had one,” replied Ye Wenxin instantly after getting over her brief shock.
She had thought that Ling Jue might ask her the source of all that inheritance she had learned or inquire about her identity, but she never expected Ling Jue to ask whether she had someone she liked.
A question like this seemed too trivial compared to a secret technique, somewhat confusing Ye Wenxin regarding Ling Jue’s intentions.
“What about a crush?”
“None.” Ye Wenxin shook her head even faster. Although she had been dazzled by several women’s beauty before, it was only on a sensory level and could not be considered a true crush.
“Then, since you’ve never had a sweetheart or a crush, where did your first kiss go?” Ling Jue revealed a complicated expression. This matter had concerned her for a long time.
What should have belonged to her ended up being taken by someone else.
Ye Wenxin was silent, recalling that too-cheap first kiss. However, she had lied too much and could no longer remember if she had explained to Ling Jue how she had lost her first kiss.
“Let me guess, Long Qing’er? Huang Hangyan? Gu Xiangsi…” Ling Jue’s countenance turned cold, yet her eyes were full of fiery anger. She loathed herself for not keeping a close watch on Ye Wenxin, which led to this group of people deceiving Ye Wenxin.
As for the so-called beautiful mute in the cavern and some inadvertent kiss that activated the Iceborn Constitution, Ling Jue did not believe any of these false words.
“It was Fairy Fengya.” Ye Wenxin honestly revealed her first kiss partner.
“Heh…” Ling Jue did not have the expected surprise but showed disappointment instead, accompanied by a sneer.
“It was really Fairy Fengya.” Ye Wenxin wanted to cry. Why did she have to go and say who she gave her first kiss to? It only worsened Ling Jue’s suspicion.
“Little Sister Wenxin, tell me, with Fairy Fengya in closed-door training during that time, how did you find her and get to know her?” Ling Jue was furious, furious that Ye Wenxin was still deceiving her.
Ye Wenxin was really close to tears, explaining in a great rush, “Fairy Fengya is not as great as you imagined, she’s…”
Reaching this point, Ye Wenxin found that she could not finish her sentence. Once she admitted what had happened with Fairy Fengya, it would implicate even more things.
For example, her current true disciple-master relationship with Fairy Fengya.
Or obtaining the Soul Suppressing Eighteen Needles from Fairy Fengya, Demon Lord Gu Qingcheng’s hatred, her and Fairy Fengya’s connection, her reason for approaching Fairy Fengya……
“Sorry, just consider that my first kiss had been stolen by a dog.” Ultimately, Ye Wenxin gave up her argument and then saw the hopelessness in Ling Jue’s eyes.
“As expected. I shouldn’t have treated you. I should’ve let you suffer more.” Immediately, she murmured ruefully to herself, leaving Ye Wenxin not daring to believe what she was hearing.
Was this still the gentle Ling Jue that she knew?
How could she……
“Are you Big Sister Ling?” Ye Wenxin became increasingly paranoid. She wanted to create some distance from Ling Jue to examine the situation, yet she found Ling Jue had tightly embraced her at some point.
Ling Jue was still in self-inspection mode and continued murmuring to herself, “As expected, I shouldn’t have treated you so well.”
“Big Sister Ling, are you alright? Don’t… bite…” Ye Wenxin responded, but Ling Jue was already biting Ye Wenxin’s shoulder.
It was a much harder bite than earlier, and Ling Jue even infused Qi into it. It stung so much that Ye Wenxin’s tears were about to fall, but she still did not understand what Ling Jue was so angry about.
Everyone had their secrets, and Ye Wenxin just did not want her secrets to become Ling Jue’s trouble. But why would Ling Jue be this infuriated?
“Big Sister Ling, why are you angry?” This was becoming increasingly incomprehensible for Ye Wenxin. She just sensed that she was the source of Ling Jue’s anger, but she did not understand the reason.
“Little Sister Wenxin, as a woman, you should treasure yourself and maintain purity. How could you kiss people casually?” Ling Jue’s expression turned solemn, her eyes bearing a little indifference. She grabbed Ye Wenxin’s hand and pressed her against the rock.
Ye Wenxin was dumbfounded. She used Divine Sense to confirm and determined that Ling Jue was not under the influence of her Iceborn Constitution. But now, Ling Jue seemed clouded with some kind of awareness.
“I really had no other choice at the time. Big Sister Ling…don’t, don’t bite anymore…” While saying this, Ling Jue gave Ye Wenxin’s shoulder another bite, but it was significantly gentler than just now.
This gentle Ling Jue, at this very moment, was like a man-eating tigress. Ling Jue seemed to realize she overdid it, but she could not restrain her own pain.
“What should I do with you?” Ling Jue was caught in a dilemma. She had even lost control to some extent, but Ye Wenxin did not understand Ling Jue’s emotions.
“Big Sister Ling, what the hell are you angry about?” Ye Wenxin questioned again, trying her best to figure out the reason for Ling Jue’s anger, but after chewing it over, she finally came up with one possibility.
“Big Sister Ling, could it be that when you said you wanted to marry me, you were truly serious?” This was the last possibility Ye Wenxin was willing to believe, but it was the only reason that could explain the abnormality of Ling Jue, who had always been gentle and considerate.
If Ling Jue did not like her, then this was morbid behavior.
No, even if Ling Jue liked her, this was still morbid behavior.
“Of course I’m serious. I’m always serious when it comes to you.” Ling Jue’s voice was very low. She did not know why, but hearing Ye Wenxin finally understand her meaning had her sighing with relief.
She could not restrain her anger, and she could not accept that someone was one step ahead of her.
Ling Jue liked Ye Wenxin, so she cherished everything about her, carefully guarding her. But now she was jealous of some stranger, and what was even more maddening was that Ye Wenxin was protecting that person, keeping their identity from her.
The misunderstanding kept escalating. Ling Jue finally mustered up all the courage for this lifetime, only to be struck by behavior she could not control.
This was the first and only time in her entire life that she had experienced that loss of control.
“I’ve always felt that you’re too young, so I wanted to wait several years until you’ve matured enough to understand these things I’m telling you, however… I couldn’t stand waiting anymore.” Ling Jue was really worried. She had stupidly kissed Ye Wenxin’s lips out of desire to get her first kiss.
“Wait, this plot is wrong… I’m still just a child, Big Sister Ling!” Ye Wenxin no longer knew whether she should cry or laugh. She never conceived of being liked by anyone, let alone a woman.
And this person was Ling Jue, whom she was fond of.
However, the current Ling Jue no longer seemed like herself, and Ye Wenxin did not know how she should express her complicated state of mind. She was not disgusted by Ling Jue’s love at all, but felt that she was unable to accept these feelings.
Perhaps the heavens thought she was too pitiful, as Ling Jue suddenly stopped when she heard these words and contemplated them.
“Right, you’re still a child… I’m such a fool…”
Assuming she had hope of escaping this predicament, Ye Wenxin once again sighed with relief. But just as these words fell, she felt Ling Jue grab her hand and pull her in.
“So you do it then. I want to give myself to you.” The plot was developing further beyond her expectations, and Ye Wenxin, as before, did not know what she should do.
Ling Jue’s gaze was so determined, but her posture under the water appeared ardent. With a mere touch from Ye Wenxin, that fire burned ever more exuberantly, as if it could not be quelled due to joy.
Seeing Ling Jue’s trembling calmed Ye Wenxin. She inhaled deeply, beheld this woman, so beautiful like the moon, and thought of the time she had spent with Ling Jue this past year.
“Big Sister Ling, I can’t do that.” Ye Wenxin withdrew her hand, and then saw Ling Jue’s unsurprised expression. On the contrary, there was a bit of a smile.
“I knew you would say this. I would be rather disappointed if you didn’t.” Even so, Ling Jue could not hide her dejection. She came out of the water and put on her clothes.
Her hair was dripping wet, yet it could not obstruct that charm.
Ye Wenxin sighed with relief and got out of the water as well. After changing back into her clothes, she carefully sat down beside Ling Jue.
The moonlight looked so beautiful tonight, making all of this seem unreal.
“You know, I even made Heart Poison.” Ling Jue uttered slowly, but with too light a tone, as if talking about something that had nothing to do with her.
Goosebumps rose all over Ye Wenxin’s body when she heard this. How could she have forgotten about the name Heart Poison?
If her memory served her right, Heart Poison was one of the pills Ling Jue had inherited from the ancient Alchemy manual. If consumed, one would develop a strong love for the first person one laid eyes on until death.
“But I thought I couldn’t have you in this way, so earlier…I ate it myself.” Ling Jue sounded like she was telling an ordinary and mediocre story, astonishing Ye Wenxin, who did not dare to believe Ling Jue’s final decision.
“I had thought eating Heart Poison would increase my courage, but I…am still a little coward.” Ling Jue’s voice trailed off, with tears sliding down her beautiful face.
It was unclear whether it was because of shame or because of other things.
“Just like in the beginning, I could only look on helplessly as my father killed my mother. There was nothing I could do. I watched my mother die with resentment. He, on the other hand, has it good, with three wives and four concubines, living in laughter and arrogance as if it were natural.” Ling Jue slowly told her story, lacking any sense of security, while Ye Wenxin had her long-lost sense of security.
The approaching separation caused her uneasiness to reappear. She feared that in the future, Ye Wenxin would become some powerful person’s accessory, like a majority of people.
She had low self-esteem in her bones, and she loved very humbly.
This was the true Ling Jue beneath the gentleness, but for some unknown reason, it did not surprise Ye Wenxin at all.
Author had something to say:
After some consideration, I still wrote down a bit of Ling Jue’s route. After all, as the beginning of Ye Wenxin’s gay awakening, it must be taken seriously.
As for the wrestling you guys want to read, there will be more and more love interests in later stages, I will write them if I have the time.
However, who the hell commented my wrestling scenes are written better than normal writing, I’m obviously pure (speechlessly staring at the sky).
