Release the Female Lead Ch. 180

Chapter 180: I Came for You, Master

Fairy Fengya heard “Ye Meijing’s” explanation and did not ask further, lowering her head again.

“Ye Meijing” initially thought this would finally provoke an emotional response from Fairy Fengya, but her overly calm demeanor made “Ye Meijing” unable to hold back once more.

“Aren’t you angry? I didn’t even ask you before giving the talismans away.”

“Since they already belong to you, why should I be angry?” Fairy Fengya’s tone became even calmer, then she buried her head in the secret chronicle again.

“Ye Meijing” was already close to the end; Although she did not want to be distracted, seeing Fairy Fengya so engrossed, she could not help leaning over to sneak a few glances.

Upon closer inspection, it was not a secret chronicle at all, but rather unofficial history—essentially gossip columns.

“Master, I didn’t expect you to have such particular interests.”

“Ye Meijing” could not help but continue to tease her, getting closer as she spoke. However, the more she read the provocative words in the book, the angrier she became.

The gossip described all sorts of private affairs between the Demon Lord and the Eldest Princess, even saying how they liked various positions and left traces everywhere. “Ye Meijing” was already used to being labeled promiscuous, with everyone assuming she had chaotic relationships with men and women. However, they had no idea that the current “Ye Meijing” had only just discovered the intrigue of kissing.

Not to mention those wrestling sessions, those strange locations and positions, which she, as a novice in matters of love, had no way of practicing.

Fairy Fengya, however, ignored whatever “Ye Meijing” said and kept on reading. After a few minutes, “Ye Meijing” grew tired of teasing and turned her gaze back to the stage.

Su Mei, who had been beaten into a swollen mess, was now brutally attacking Fatty; “Ye Meijing” was not sure if she imagined it, but it seemed that Su Mei’s gaze was fixed on them, filled with intense killing intent.

At the same time, “Ye Meijing” noticed a faint black mist emanating from Su Mei. As Su Mei’s hostile energy grew, the black mist became thicker and more pronounced.

“Ye Meijing” did not know if there was something wrong with her eyes or if Su Mei had practiced some demon sect techniques that caused this black mist to appear. However, everyone else seemed unaffected, their expressions normal. Unable to resist, “Ye Meijing” once again turned to Fairy Fengya for confirmation.

“Master, can you see anything on Su Mei?”

Fairy Fengya looked up, glanced at Su Mei, then slowly shook her head and continued reading.

This glance was noticed by Su Mei, who, seeing the coldness in “Ye Wenxin’s” eyes, became even more furious and aimed a punch at Fatty’s face. This punch was so powerful that if it landed, it would likely disfigure his nose. “Ye Meijing” watched the scene intently, clenching her fists, hoping Fatty would not let her down.

Just when everyone thought the outcome of the fight was decided, Fatty suddenly looked up, and put all his strength into his hands. He caught Su Mei’s incoming punch and, with a burst of power, threw Su Mei out.

“You can’t let her lose that easily!”

“Ye Meijing” hastily shouted, and Fatty immediately took the hint. He pushed off with his feet, jumped up, and grabbed Su Mei back. His movements were becoming more agile, as he used the techniques he had learned from the manual “Ye Meijing” personally imparted to him.

However, because “Ye Meijing” feared causing trouble, she had warned her little brothers to only use these manual techniques as a last resort to avoid inviting disaster.

But now, Fatty not only refrained from using the talismans, but he also relied solely on his determination to deplete Su Mei’s Qi and counterattack.

Seeing this, “Ye Meijing” could not help but feel her blood boil, her old desire for battle surging back.

Fatty became even more excited. He slammed Su Mei hard onto the ground, then immediately opened his bag of holding, pulled out a bottle of first-grade Vitality Pills, and gulped them down.

“Just first-grade Vitality Pills; I can use those too!”

“Don’t be so sour. Didn’t you see the number of pills in that bottle? There must be at least thirty!”

“Do you think we should join the Cozy Gang?”

Even though the battle on stage was so intense and thrilling, the crowd was thinking about whether they should join the Cozy Gang for greater benefits.

In contrast, only “Ye Meijing” was frustrated seeing Fatty consuming only first-grade Vitality Pills, fearing that others might misunderstand her, Ye Wenxin, as mistreating her subordinates.

But after mulling it over, she realized that, for dealing with someone like Su Mei, first-grade Vitality Pills were more than sufficient.

“Su Mei, you vixen, how dare you seduce my brother!” Fatty, rejuvenated by the Vitality Pills, regained his color and swung his fists toward Su Mei’s face again.

Once, twice…

After a full fourteen punches, he finally stopped; Su Mei had been beaten to a pulp, barely clinging to life.

Seeing that Su Mei was not dead, Fatty let out a satisfied sigh, leisurely dusted himself off, and gave a solemn bow towards “Ye Meijing’s” location.

Although it was unclear what this gesture meant, seeing Fatty’s actions, “Ye Meijing” could almost envision him in the future, living a carefree life in the Martial World1.

“This young man will definitely go places,” Fairy Fengya said, half impressed by Fatty’s spirited display.

“Ye Meijing” also grinned, “Yeah, Fatty will surely rise above the rest.”

She seemed to see a faint golden light shining on Fatty beneath the gentle sunlight, indicating his transformation after this battle. As for Su Mei, the black aura around her grew thicker, almost engulfing her whole body. Her eyes gleamed sinisterly, but they were fixed on “Ye Wenxin”.

This time, Fairy Fengya did not even lift her head. She flipped through another page of the gossip book, and continued, “I don’t like killing, but it seems this person must be dealt with.”

“No need; we can’t let her die too easily.”

“Ye Meijing” stubbornly shook her head, feeling that if Fairy Fengya killed Su Mei outright, it would be too boring. As a villain, she knew all too well how to torture someone.

“What does disciple plan to do?”

“Naturally, to make her life worse than death, to taste the depths of hell.”

“Ye Meijing” laughed—an incredibly wicked laugh that did nothing to hide the bloodlust in her eyes. Fairy Fengya paused her reading and looked up, scrutinizing “Ye Meijing’s” maddened appearance.

Realizing she had exposed her true nature, “Ye Meijing” quickly reverted to her innocent appearance, pretending to be affectionate as she leaned closer to Fairy Fengya. “I’m just kidding. I still prefer being a good person.”

Fairy Fengya did not turn the page of her book, but just stared at “Ye Meijing” for a few seconds. Eventually, she turned to the last page and slowly asked, “Do you think the Demon Lord ended up with the Eldest Princess?”

The question was so sudden, that “Ye Meijing” was completely stunned. She quickly leaned over to read the last page of the gossip book, which stated that the Demon Lord was willing to give up power and wealth for the Eldest Princess, and was now living in seclusion somewhere, with the story to be continued.

“I think, they won’t end up together.”

“Ye Meijing” shared her opinion; the Demon Lord and the Eldest Princess were too familiar with each other, knowing every part, every corner of the other. But precisely because they were too familiar, neither the Demon Lord nor the Eldest Princess could easily make a move against the other.

“Why?”

“Because the Demon Lord left the Wind and Moon Palace for you, Master.”
