Chapter 316: A Love that Transcends Boundaries
As the night deepened, the guards on shift began to change. Excluding Ye Wenxin, Jin Xiaoqin, Long Qing’er, Fairy Fengya, and Xuan Luofei, there were fifteen survivors altogether.
The immortal sect disciples also understood the severity of the situation, and fully cooperated with Jin Xiaoqin’s management. They took shifts in groups of five to conduct night patrols, and Jin Xiaoqin stayed with them the entire time.
Having already completed two shifts, combined with her previous injuries, Jin Xiaoqin was starting to feel exhausted, so she entrusted the task to the five disciples.
“Alright, I’ll leave the rest to you.”
“Very well, Sister Xiaoqin, you can rest assured and go to sleep.” Seeing Jin Xiaoqin’s dedication, the group developed a sense of reliance on her. Jin Xiaoqin smiled, not minding the overly youthful address.
She returned to the resting area and instinctively wanted to check on Ye Wenxin, only to find that her troublesome disciple was not under the down quilt. Jin Xiaoqin’s heart raced anxiously, feeling like Ye Wenxin was always getting into trouble.
She hurriedly searched nearby, and finally spotted Ye Wenxin squatting in the distance.
She was focused, seemingly fiddling with something. Jin Xiaoqin pulled out her greataxe, very worried that when Ye Wenxin turned around, she would see the face of a Yin Fetus.
“I’m not a Yin Fetus, Master.” Ye Wenxin turned around with a wry grin. Although she did intend to scare her master a little, seeing as Jin Xiaoqin was carrying her greataxe, she ultimately turned her head back obediently.
“What are you doing?” asked Jin Xiaoqin, noticing that Ye Wenxin was holding a wooden bowl, mixing some kind of medicine inside.
The mixture was a bright green color, looking very much like the blood and flesh of a Yin Fetus, and quite disgusting.
“I’ve been experimenting with the nearby plants and found that this herb has some effect against the Yin Fetuses’ toxins.” Ye Wenxin explained smoothly, but her words upset Jin Xiaoqin.
“I told you to stay put, so why did you run off again!? What if you encountered a Yin Fetus!? Did anything happen!?” Jin Xiaoqin, like a nagging mother, bombarded Ye Wenxin with a barrage of questions. Ye Wenxin, feeling sheepish, had to explain a bit about her recent discovery while sneaking out.
Not only did Ye Wenxin wander around nearby, but she also went to the pond, caught a Yin Fetus, and brought it back.
Jin Xiaoqin was somewhat skeptical, so Ye Wenxin took out a small golden cage from her bag of holding. It was inscribed with blood-red runes, likely sutras for suppressing the Yin Fetus, preventing it from escaping.
The Yin Fetus had a face the size of a baby’s, but looked very old, with blood-red eyes. As soon as it saw a person’s shadow, it emitted a piercing scream, similar to that of a woman’s. It was extremely uncomfortable to hear.
Jin Xiaoqin’s face changed, preparing to stop the Yin Fetus from continuing to make noise and potentially summoning other Yin Fetuses. However, Ye Wenxin quickly poured the concoction she had been preparing into the Yin Fetus’s mouth.
A minute… ten minutes… when almost fifteen minutes had passed, the Yin fetus suddenly began to swell continuously like a balloon, before exploding.
Jin Xiaoqin dodged in time, but some green slime still splashed onto her, corroding a part of her clothes. Jin Xiaoqin frowned slightly, cut off the corroded fabric and hurriedly checked on Ye Wenxin. To her surprise, she saw that Ye Wenxin had pulled out an umbrella at some point.
Although the umbrella’s surface was completely corroded, Ye Wenxin was uninjured. She was stroking her chin, seemingly contemplating something.
“The effect is a bit slow.”
“You stupid disciple, you almost got us killed!” Jin Xiaoqin was even more furious, but this time she didn’t dare to kick her. The area was covered in green slime, and a kick from Jin Xiaoqin could have sent Ye Wenxin falling into it and be completely corroded.
“No, no, no; I’m sacrificing myself for the people. Alright, while no one else is around, start stripping yourself, Master.” Ye Wenxin quickly started fiddling with the herbs again, showing Jin Xiaoqin a pure smile.
Jin Xiaoqin looked indignant, feeling that Ye Wenxin had really crossed the line. But when she looked again, Ye Wenxin was already standing in front of her, casually helping her take off her clothes.
“Shh, I’ll be very gentle.” Ye Wenxin’s expression was full of enticement, making Jin Xiaoqin momentarily lose control. Her hold on the greataxe slackened, and before she knew it, she found Ye Wenxin had laid her flat on the ground.
She wasn’t lying on the cold ground but on a hide rug. Although it was considerate, the thought of losing her 250-year-old virginity to her disciple made Jin Xiaoqin struggle internally.
“There’s nothing to fear, Master.” Ye Wenxin’s body started to emit a faint fragrance, relaxing Jin Xiaoqin. She couldn’t help breathing deeply as her body loosened, and Jin Xiaoqin watched as Ye Wenxin gently untied her robe with an enthusiastic look in her eyes.
Her fingers felt slightly cold, yet her gaze was so heated that it made Jin Xiaoqin shudder. While she was briefly distracted, her outer robe was untied, but one look into Ye Wenxin’s eyes had her willing to surrender herself completely.
“I… this is my first time…” Jin Xiaoqin made up her mind and ultimately chose to enjoy it. After that, she would beat Ye Wenxin into a bloody pulp before forcing Ye Wenxin to marry her.
Ye Wenxin paused after hearing this; however, her expression was a bit perplexed. You could even say she was embarrassed.
“Uh, got it. I’ll be gentle.” Despite this, she carefully pulled away the undershirt, leaned over, and applied the bright green medicine onto Jin Xiaoqin’s wound.
At that instant, the wound sizzled. Jin Xiaoqin almost screamed from the pain, but Ye Wenxin hurriedly covered her mouth. Jin Xiaoqin, in great agony, ended up biting Ye Wenxin’s arm.
Ye Wenxin grimaced, but she kept on evenly applying the medicine. Only until the green medicine turned black, did she reach out to erase the impurities.
Jin Xiaoqin no longer knew how to criticize Ye Wenxin for learning all those unconventional tricks. Looking again, Ye Wenxin had not stopped her actions; she took out a golden brush and began writing sutras all over Jin Xiaoqin’s body.
Combined with her feminine figure, Jin Xiaoqin’s whole being exuded a gorgeous brilliance. It was at this moment that Ye Wenxin realized, although Jin Xiaoqin’s face could only be considered pretty, she had an extraordinarily striking figure.

1. When I was writing this, I thought of how jiangshi were dealt with, and then this bizarre method of neutralizing the toxin came about. [I’m referring to a jiangshi movie. There was a clip where they used glutinous rice (TL: Uncooked) to treat the corpse poison] (TL: The movie is Mr. Vampire, 僵尸先生, released in 1985.)
2. What, you’re wondering why there are ghosts in a xianxia fiction? Well, if immortals exist, then it’s very normal to have demons and ghosts too. [reflecting]

Check out the new series I’ve released on SF: Players Please Take Your Positions. It’s survival horror, but is focused on mystery-solving with game elements, and most importantly, it’s yuri. I won’t be locking chapters on that one, since I won’t be updating it as much as this one.
