Chapter 371: Why Aren’t You Falling for Me?
Furball looked to both sides and saw there was no place for it. After thinking for a moment, it simply sat on Ye Wenxin, and carefully absorbed a few breaths of Yin energy, maintaining its sustenance.
The next morning, when Ye Wenxin opened her eyes, she felt a peculiar, heavy weight on her body. Looking down, she saw a black furball on her. Startled, she quickly asked Ghost Mother why Furball had multiplied and produced a black ball.
“Furball can self-replicate,” Ghost Mother lazily replied while drawing closer to naturally absorb Ye Wenxin’s Yin energy. Ye Wenxin shivered, and then felt Ghost Mother’s body grow larger.
Ghost Mother glanced at Sword Ghost, who was still reluctant to move, and tempted: “Master, why don’t you look for the Yin-Yang Pearls again?” As she spoke, she lifted her skirt slightly, suggesting she had enjoyed the previous night.
Ye Wenxin found it hard to stay calm. Noting that it was barely dawn, she nodded and said seriously, “Spread out a bit more so I can see the location of the Yin-Yang Pearls.”
Ghost Mother giggled, entwining herself like a snake, fully displaying her enchanting allure. Noticing Ye Wenxin’s infatuated look, she transformed her hand into a ghost claw, while her dark green eyes faintly glowed.
What started as a gentle caress on Ye Wenxin’s back swiftly turned into a quick thrust towards her heart.
Ye Wenxin screamed in agony, and Ghost Mother smiled with satisfaction. But in the next moment, she realized the person in front of her had vanished, leaving only a fresh flower behind.
“Stop daydreaming. I’m not so easily bewitched.” Ye Wenxin, who was already sitting nearby and tidying her attire, rolled her eyes at Ghost Mother.
Ghost Mother was momentarily stunned, and she cursed, “Why haven’t you fallen for me yet!?”
Ye Wenxin looked at the faint red aura surrounding Ghost Mother and shook her head with a sigh. “If you don’t fall for me first, how could I be at ease falling for you?”
With that, she swiftly approached and pinned Ghost Mother down, extending her fingers to search for the Yin Pearl in the second set of lips. Unlike her gentleness the previous night, Ye Wenxin’s smile now appeared cruel. “Hmm, you hid the Yin Pearl quite deeply. Let’s see if you can last before I find it.”
The inherited memories allowed Ye Wenxin to understand Ghost Mother’s true nature. Ever since they met in the secret realm, Ghost Mother had displayed two entirely different reactions.
Ghost Mother resisted, unwilling to let Ye Wenxin locate the Yin Pearl, and in turn, Ye Wenxin didn’t hold back. Yet, no matter how she searched with her qi, the Yin Pearl remained elusive as if playing hide and seek.
In contrast, unable to endure Ye Wenxin’s torment, Ghost Mother let out a loud cry before fainting, quickly turning into a wisp of smoke, and retreating into the umbrella. Sword Ghost, watching Ghost Mother’s continuous self-destructive behavior, shook her head and sighed. “Master, don’t be angry. After Celestial Master Zhong separated us, all the negative effects concentrated on Yue Yue.”
Ye Wenxin smiled without saying anything, then looked at Sword Ghost bathed in sunlight. “But, Sword Ghost, if I take out your Yang Pearl, will you hate me?”
Sword Ghost shook her head. “Naturally, I won’t. I hope to reincarnate with Yue Yue. If you take away the Yang Pearl, maybe it will free me.”
Ye Wenxin was quite surprised that Sword Ghost even considered reincarnation. However, Ghost Mother’s deep attachment to the mortal realm might make Sword Ghost’s dream difficult to achieve. After all, even if they had separate thoughts, the two ghosts could only leave the mortal realm if they merged into one.
She looked at Sword Ghost, thought for a moment, and continued, “It’s still early. Let’s try a bit more.”
Sword Ghost, looking somewhat shy, still expectantly opened her other lips…
Eventually, Sword Ghost also fainted, and quickly disappeared into the sword. Perhaps it was due to the abundance of Ye Wenxin’s Yin energy, or maybe the stimulation from her fingers’ manipulation was too great. Regardless, Ye Wenxin started her day feeling invigorated…
If Wang Cuihua wasn’t glaring at her outside the entrance, Ye Wenxin might have thought this day would be even better. However, Wang Cuihua was standing there waiting for her, seemingly afraid she would run away.
The surroundings were beginning to grow cold with winter’s approach. Wang Cuihua, not being a Nascent Soul stage cultivator, lacked resistance to the cold, and stood there with frozen hands. Feeling the somber atmosphere, Ye Wenxin looked at Wang Cuihua and asked, “Are your injuries any better?”
Wang Cuihua gritted her teeth. “Thanks to you, not at all!”
Ye Wenxin, hearing this, remained silent but knew that Wang Cuihua still harbored resentment towards her. She smiled and continued walking outside, where she saw Gu Xiangsi already up.
“Good morning, Sis.” Gu Xiangsi clung to Ye Wenxin as soon as she saw her, but she also looked around curiously and asked, “Aren’t those two ghost seniors here?”
The Yin-Yang ghosts had lived for a thousand years, so calling them seniors was not an exaggeration. Ye Wenxin recalled her busy morning and smiled as she explained, “No, they’re a bit tired, so they’re sleeping. But you can’t see them. How do you know they aren’t beside me?”
Gu Xiangsi elaborated, “When they’re around, I feel a chill when I get close to you. But now, I’m touching you, and I don’t feel any chill at all.”
Ye Wenxin considered Ghost Mother’s personality. Whenever someone approached her, Ghost Mother would stare intently at them until they left. After Ye Wenxin had tormented her all morning, Ghost Mother had no energy left for such antics.
Ye Wenxin had to admit, ever since she first tasted its sweetness with Ling Jue, she had become somewhat addicted to wrestling.
It wasn’t just ghosts. If the Jiangshi King were a beautiful woman, Ye Wenxin reckoned she could do her. She wasn’t sure if this change was good or bad. On her Earth, this kind of fickleness would definitely earn her the label of a scumbag.
But this wasn’t Earth. In this world, having multiple spouses was normal for both men and women. Here, as long as one had power and influence, countless men and women would flock to them.
Thinking about this, she looked up to check her peach blossom aura, only to see it blooming brilliantly, enveloping her entirely. Ever since she conquered Jin Xiaoqin, Ye Wenxin discovered she could control her peach blossom luck.
However, her weak peach blossom luck only affected those with weak wills, or fickle hearts, which Ye Wenxin lamented. She had a premonition that if she wanted to rely on her own luck to defeat Fairy Fengya’s golden phoenix luck, she would have to become a female protagonist who reaped admirers like a machine.
As this crazy idea formed in her mind, Ye Wenxin shivered. She quickly pretended as if nothing had happened and retracted her peach blossom aura.
TL: Weak wills and fickle hearts…pfft. Way to roast Xiaoqin and Ling Jue. And Wenxin’s turning into a nympho.
