Chapter 382: Three Slaps for Abbess Jiunan?
Abbess Jiunan remained completely unaware of her fate. She was sitting on the ground, crying out in pain while glancing at Ye Wenxin in the distance, confirming that Ye Wenxin had seen her injured state.
“Miss, are you alright?” Ye Wenxin stood in front of Abbess Jiunan, speaking softly, her eyes reflecting a gentleness that she rarely displayed.
Abbess Jiunan, wearing a pained expression, looked at Ye Wenxin and said, “Miss, I twisted my ankle.”
Her voice was melodious and soft, captivating to hear, and she had even changed the fragrance on her body, which indicated her diligence. But at this moment, Ye Wenxin still didn’t understand what Abbess Jiunan was testing her for, so she played along and looked at her ankle. “Oh, so people can fall on flat ground too?”
The surrounding path was smooth, with no obstacles at all. Ye Wenxin teased her, embarrassing Abbess Jiunan for a moment, before she cried out even more dramatically. Each cry threatened to stir up the darkness hidden within Ye Wenxin.
However, she had gotten her satisfaction from the Yin-Yang ghosts, and knowing that Abbess Jiunan had ulterior motives, Ye Wenxin naturally had no other thoughts. She glanced around and spotted a monk in the distance.
“Senior brother, this benefactor has fallen over here; could you please come and help her for a bit?” Ye Wenxin shouted loudly. Abbess Jiunan’s expression became weird, as she truly couldn’t understand why her current disguise still failed to attract Ye Wenxin.
The monk was an honest man; upon hearing that someone had fallen, he immediately walked over to check. Right after he saw Abbess Jiunan’s ankle, he chanted ‘Amitabha’ for a long time, then blushed and hurried off to find some nuns for assistance.
Before long, several young nuns appeared and helped Abbess Jiunan up from the ground. Ye Wenxin watched them escort the abbess away, her face carrying a subtle smile.
Abbess Jiunan appeared baffled; her plan was disrupted again. She found an excuse to send the escorting nuns away and then slipped into her room. She opened her wardrobe, revealing a variety of colorful garments that were completely unlike what an abbess should typically wear. Her fingers lightly brushed over the clothes until they finally settled on a striking red dress.
She looked at the dress again and again, as if making a firm decision, then took it out…
Another hour passed, and Ye Wenxin encountered Abbess Jiunan in the temple’s back garden. She had changed her appearance again—red dress, fair skin, dazzlingly beautiful.
Her dress was quite revealing, shocking the Southern Dipper Temple’s disciples, who kept reciting ‘Amitabha’ and were very resistant to Abbess Jiunan’s appearance. Others were pointing and whispering as they stared at her.
Ye Wenxin was still holding a medical book, pretending not to notice Abbess Jiunan’s presence. Abbess Jiunan circled around her once more, but found that Ye Wenxin was completely ignoring her.
“Miss, I—” She tried her best to express interest in Ye Wenxin, but Ye Wenxin suddenly stood up and headed toward the gate. Abbess Jiunan was left at a loss for words, but still chased after her.
As the crowd gradually thinned out, Ye Wenxin sat on a rock, continuing to read her medical book and occasionally demonstrating some poses, appearing very engrossed. However, in reality, her attention was entirely on Abbess Jiunan, as she was truly bewildered by what the abbess was trying to test.
“Ah, my stomach suddenly hurts so much.” Abbess Jiunan’s acting skills were once again on display; her face turned pale in an instant, and every movement she made was incredibly lifelike. Ye Wenxin pretended to have just noticed Abbess Jiunan and hurried over.
“Miss, what’s wrong?”
Abbess Jiunan looked distressed. “I’ve got my… um, Aunt Flow.”
‘Aunt Flow’ referred to what was commonly known as menstruation. Female cultivators would stop experiencing it after reaching the Foundation Establishment stage, but ordinary women would still have it every month. Some women would experience excruciating pain during their periods, which was what Abbess Jiunan was acting out.
Ye Wenxin held back a smile and continued, “I have a good understanding of medicine; let me take your pulse.”
Abbess Jiunan nodded and timidly extended her delicate, fair hand. Ye Wenxin pressed her wrist and said, “Miss, your pulse is chaotic. Are you nocturnal, someone who stays up all night? Do you drink alcohol often?”
Abbess Jiunan realized that Ye Wenxin was talking nonsense. However, considering she did currently look quite like a courtesan, the abbess replied, “Yes, circumstances have forced me. I originally came to the Southern Dipper Temple to pray for a fortunate encounter with my ideal husband, but unexpectedly, my… Aunt Flow started hurting at this time.”
As she spoke, her brows furrowed, exuding a seductive charm that made it difficult for one to associate Abbess Jiunan with the woman in front of her. But because this abbess was also a cunning fox, Ye Wenxin found it quite normal. She nodded and said solemnly, “Your condition is quite serious; it requires timely treatment.”
Ye Wenxin abruptly picked up Abbess Jiunan. Abbess Jiunan sensed something wasn’t right after hearing this, when she felt a poke on her butt. The injury from Ye Wenxin’s spanking had not yet healed, and this sudden embrace made her gasp in pain.
This pain was genuine, but Ye Wenxin intentionally poked her and even apologized, “Miss, did I hurt you?”
Abbess Jiunan tightened her grip on Ye Wenxin’s clothes and said in a lovely voice, “How do you plan to treat me, Miss Hero?”
Ye Wenxin felt a chill run down her spine, and her goosebumps rose involuntarily. She could easily resist Liu Churan, who was the most seductive woman she had ever seen. So, faced with Abbess Jiunan’s deliberate temptation, Ye Wenxin merely felt uncomfortable all over, but still pretended to be gentle as she continued, “A few slaps on the butt should do the trick.”
Abbess Jiunan almost gasped but managed to hold it in. “That can’t be right.”
Ye Wenxin maintained a serious facade and quirked up an eyebrow in response, “Why not?”
Abbess Jiunan was on the verge of tears, but she was sure there were no holes in her acting and disguise. She could only feign shyness and say softly, “We’re not that familiar.”
Ye Wenxin said even more grimly, “Saving a person is like putting out a fire; there’s no time to think about that. Come on, I’ll take you to a room; it will be quick.”
Abbess Jiunan panicked, not because she was afraid of going back to Ye Wenxin’s room, but because she was worried about being spanked again. She quickly struggled and said, “I don’t think that’s a good idea, and… I have a better method.”
Ye Wenxin stopped in her tracks. Seeing an opening, Abbess Jiunan hooked her arm around Ye Wenxin’s neck and continued to tempt her: “I’ve heard of a folk remedy; would you be willing to try it?”
As she spoke, she gently blew into Ye Wenxin’s ear, portraying the demeanor of a courtesan even more vividly. Ye Wenxin looked at Abbess Jiunan with confusion and curiously asked, “What folk remedy?”
