Release the Female Lead, Leave Her to Me
Release the Female Lead Ch. 436

Chapter 436: Please Conduct Yourself with Dignity, Madam

However, possibly due to holding back for so long, Ghost Mother was a little proactive today. After finishing her meal, she started coaxing Ye Wenxin, as if trying to pique her interest, and inviting her to play.

Ye Wenxin’s most recent dream had given her some ideas, so seeing Ghost Mother’s eagerness, she didn’t hold back. Ghost Mother was in high spirits, while Ye Wenxin became more engrossed, yet her gaze was a little distracted as she looked at Ghost Mother, and then she unintentionally muttered, “Yue’er.”

As soon as that name left her lips, Ye Wenxin was shocked with herself. Although Long Qingyue hadn’t read her memories, it seemed like she had cursed Ye Wenxin with her kiss.

Ghost Mother remained oblivious, and feeling guilty, Ye Wenxin continued to indulge her. She made her fly high amongst the clouds until Ghost Mother was completely exhausted, and finally relaxed in Ye Wenxin’s embrace.

Ye Wenxin still felt an unfulfilled emptiness, so she called for Sword Ghost and had many long rounds with her. It wasn’t until the Yin-Yang ghosts were so drained they nearly reverted to their spectral forms that Ye Wenxin reluctantly got up.

She walked over to the mirror to examine the peach blossom tattoo on her back.

Ye Wenxin noticed that the three peach blossoms displayed different states.

One blossom had turned black, leaving her to wonder if this signified a failed conquest or something else entirely.

The middle blossom had bloomed slightly, though its color was a bit darker compared to the others.

As for the last blossom, it had seemingly undergone a genetic mutation, transforming into the shape of a budding rose instead.

The more Ye Wenxin looked, the more intrigued she became. She shifted her position to get a better view of the peach blossoms representing the Yin-Yang Ghosts, and she saw that one had fully bloomed. She couldn’t tell whether the one who had completely devoted herself was Ghost Mother or Sword Ghost.

Ye Wenxin quietly walked back, and seeing the two ghosts sleeping so soundly, she couldn’t resist closing her eyes and falling asleep. Once she regained her stamina, she dragged the two ghosts into another bout of EXP farming. However, the other peach blossom showed no response, and instead, a peach blossom chain appeared on Sword Ghost’s body.

Compared to the ones that bound Ling Jue and Jin Xiaoqin, the chain on Sword Ghost was much thinner, but the spot it chained was bizarre and audacious. Furthermore, its red color naturally drew attention, giving Sword Ghost a certain inexplicable allure.

“Gui Gui, why don’t you love me?” Ye Wenxin looked puzzled as she asked. Ghost Mother shot her a fierce glare, as if she thought Ye Wenxin had lost her mind for saying something so utterly impossible.

Since Ghost Mother wouldn’t answer, Ye Wenxin turned her question towards Sword Ghost, “Sword Ghost, why do you love me?”

Sword Ghost seemed a bit shy as she explained, “We are originally one, and we each embody different emotions. Mine is love, while Gui Gui’s is hate. Her love has all flowed into me, and if I ever feel hatred, it would similarly accumulate in Gui Gui.”

Ye Wenxin finally understood why Ghost Mother always seemed so contradictory. Ghost Mother didn’t want to hear any of this, however, and was vehemently denying her own feelings. To Ye Wenxin, Ghost Mother seemed somewhat neurotic.

“Gui Gui, have you regained your strength?” Ye Wenxin asked, a smile tugging at her lips. Ghost Mother’s constant resistance, compared to Sword Ghost’s compliance, sparked a strange feeling within her.

Ghost Mother’s face paled again, and she instinctively tried to flee into the umbrella sword. But before she could get far, the furballs suddenly popped out to block her escape route. Ghost Mother bounced off their soft, furry bodies, flying back in high speed before crashing back into Ye Wenxin.

Ye Wenxin chuckled, looked at the innocent furballs, and said, “Gui Gui, let’s work a bit harder and make a few more balls.”

Her words were bold, and to prevent Ghost Mother from doing anything reckless, Ye Wenxin used a special rope to tie her up securely. The already worn out Ghost Mother shook her head frantically, yet Ye Wenxin continued wantonly.

Suddenly, Ghost Mother let out a scream, and a black orb emerged from the area near her heart.

The sight of the orb stunned the one human and two ghosts. If there were no other factors involved, this orb should be the Yin Pearl. However, they didn’t know if Ye Wenxin had used so much strength that she forced the Yin Pearl out.

Silence enveloped the atmosphere. Ghost Mother appeared uneasy, fearing that Ye Wenxin might actually take away her Yin Pearl, turning her into an ordinary ghost. Ye Wenxin gazed at the Yin Pearl in silence. She did need the Yin-Yang Pearls, but she also realized that the Yin-Yang ghosts had become indispensible to her.

At that thought, she gently touched the Yin Pearl and immediately felt the chill on its surface.

Ghost Mother had fused with the Yin Pearl for such a long time that, unsurprisingly, the Yin Pearl had essentially become her core. When Ye Wenxin touched it, she felt on the verge of suffocating, and her screams became rather desperate.

A startled Ye Wenxin immediately tried to pull her hand back, but the Yin Pearl seemed to sense the presence of her Yin energy, and rushed directly toward her heart. Ye Wenxin wanted to stop it, but the Yin Pearl had swiftly merged with her.

The atmosphere grew even more tense. Ghost Mother wore a mournful expression and continued, “I forgot that this Mother Pearl is most fond of Yin energy. That’s why it refused to leave me when it first saw me.”

Ye Wenxin didn’t feel anything unusual in her body, but the thought of the Mother Pearl granting the ability to bear children filled her with a deep fear. She hurriedly asked, “Then how do we get it out?”

Ghost Mother’s face darkened as she stated, “Killing you would make it come out.”

She made a move to kill Ye Wenxin, but then suddenly remembered that Ye Wenxin had tied her up with the red cord. She was like a lamb waiting to be slaughtered—a large contrast to her earlier determined tone.

Ye Wenxin’s expression turned playful as she said seriously, “Maybe if you suck on it, it’ll come out.” She moved closer again, but suddenly a strange image flashed through her mind.

She was in a dark space, and seemed to be entangled with a woman. The woman was very agitated, caught between pain and pleasure, while Ye Wenxin was completely immersed in the atmosphere, unable to extricate herself.

It was as if she had done something similar before in an attempt to extract the Yin-Yang Pearls from someone.

This kind of memory instinctively filled Ye Wenxin with fear, though she couldn’t quite recall the details. She watched as Ghost Mother approached her like a puppy, helpless and without any other choice. Yet, no matter how much Ghost Mother tried to suck the Mother Pearl out, it stubbornly refused to leave Ye Wenxin.

Without her source of power, Ghost Mother kept trying various methods to break out of this predicament, while Ye Wenxin’s mind grew even more disoriented, her memories filled with scattered fragments.

“Madam, we shouldn’t do this.”

“Madam, you are so beautiful.”

……

Ye Wenxin’s fragmented memory finally pieced together, revealing the face of the person in the darkness, who bore a striking resemblance to Madam Yu.

This revelation sent a shiver down Ye Wenxin’s spine. She recalled the previous conversations and reactions between Madam Yu and Liu Churan, and Qiao Ni’s reckless behavior. It all painted a painfully vivid picture of the truth Ye Wenxin had been most reluctant to confront.

Okay so ghost mother is the one in love but her feelings flow to sword ghost? And what’s everyone’s expectations for the blossoms ? Black = Jiangshi King, Blossomed but darker = Xiao Zhang, rose yet to bloom = Yu’er. Is my guess – jianghsi king as Mo Ro was falling for her (or the corpse worm?), Zhang is dark due to realising her identity and being less hopeful? Finally the rose is Yu’er as she’s got that red aura and is likely to be thorny.
