Release the Female Lead Ch. 755

Chapter 755: The New Identity is!!!

Wind and Moon Palace disciples had captured Ye Wenxin not two hours away from the mountain.

The current Saintesses, twins Fusang and Yingchun, led the group. They wore identical outfits and masks. Ye Wenxin’s body showed no traces of restraints. The Wind and Moon Palace disciples treated her so affably, as if she was one of them.

“Please, don’t torment me like this.” Ye Wenxin was usually patient. However, she couldn’t stand the twin sisters staring at her without saying a word. “What is it that you want?”

After all, she held the most sentiment for the Wind and Moon Palace. Ye Wenxin couldn’t act harshly towards the twins Liu Churan had raised. Moreover, she was curious about Liu Churan’s current state after being triggered again. So, she obediently followed them.

She would never have agreed if she had known it would be such a waste of time.

The two Saintesses exchanged a tacit glance. Their knees simultaneously thudded to the ground before Ye Wenxin. Ye Wenxin was so startled that her soul nearly left her body. She thought they had discovered her identity.

However, she kept her composure and observed the situation. Frowning, she inquired, “You brought me here, and now you’re kneeling. What does this mean?”

“We are joining the Young Mistress,” answered the twins.

Ye Wenxin blinked. “Huh?”

As always, the plot developed in ways Ye Wenxin could never have imagined. When she thought this had nothing to do with her alternate identity, Ye Wenxin received another slap from the heavens.

Somewhat confused, she couldn’t refrain from asking, “Are you talking to me?” She even pointed at herself to confirm the Saintess twins weren’t referring to some mysterious being she couldn’t see.

“Of course. You are the Demon Lord’s heiress,” explained one of the twins. “You deserve to be called ‘Young Mistress’.”

Their voices, tone, and speech seemed identical. Ye Wenxin couldn’t be bothered to differentiate Yingchun from Fusang, the twin she had met before.

“Didn’t the Eldest Princess tell you the truth?” She remembered letting Long Qingyue decide whether she wanted her title or revenge on Ye Wenxin.

The Saintess twins exchanged a troubled look. Sensing something amiss, Ye Wenxin feigned impatience. “Are you going to answer me? I’m in a hurry for my training.”

“Young Mistress, please calm down.” The twins proceeded to explain. “Her Highness and the Palace Master went into a room to talk earlier. Afterward, the Palace Master came out looking preoccupied with something.”

After hearing this, Ye Wenxin suspected her deception had probably upset Long Qingyue. Maybe she’d spread more rumors to provoke another emotional breakdown from Liu Churan.

It was pitiful. Ye Wenxin had raised such a big daughter, with intelligence surpassing all others. Yet, Liu Churan turned out to be a hopeless romantic. Encountering Gu Qingcheng would reduce her to nothing more than a lovesick girl.

However, Ye Wenxin couldn’t afford to feel any sympathy. The twin Saintesses’ excessive politeness seemed like they wanted something from her.

No matter what it was, Ye Wenxin only had one answer.

“I am not Gu Qingcheng’s child.” She got up from her chair. “A pleasure meeting you both, but I have training to get to. I must take my leave.”

The twins were prepared. They quickly pushed Ye Wenxin back into the chair. At the same time, she noticed a mechanism inside the chair activated, trapping her in place.

“Young Mistress, we are not outsiders.” One of the Saintesses removed her mask, revealing a beautiful face. “You can trust us without worry.”

Ye Wenxin feigned surprise. “You… you’re the courtesan I met at Green Isle Manor!”

Although she had learned of the Saintess’ identities at Green Isle Manor, she played along.

The other Saintess also took off her mask.”Young Mistress, the person you met last time was me.”

“You two look way too alike… I feel a little woozy.” Ye Wenxin made a monotone exclamation. The identical Saintesses exchanged a glance. Their unease had decreased considerably. They even seemed somewhat pleased.

Perhaps they had developed even more goodwill toward her because Ye Wenxin didn’t show fear or disgust toward them. But that goodwill was unnecessary. While the twins were distracted, Ye Wenxin subtly struggled and easily broke free from the chair’s mechanism.

The Saintess twins hadn’t expected Ye Wenxin to escape so effortlessly. They looked at each other before striking at the same time. However, Ye Wenxin had been on guard. Black reappeared to carry her away at high speed from this unknown place.

“Catch her!”

Black moved incredibly fast. If there hadn’t been so many people surrounding her earlier, Ye Wenxin wouldn’t have been captured in the first place. Being the only ones present put the twins at a disadvantage.

As Ye Wenxin fiercely resisted, one of the Saintesses called out, “Young Mistress, we don’t wish to harm you. We just need your help!”

“I am the true disciple of the Azure Wings Sect’s honorable Sect Master. I have no interest in becoming the Young Mistress of Wind and Moon Palace! No one can stop me from my training!”

After Ye Wenxin’s declaration, Sword Ghost appeared to clear the path for her.

The Saintesses launched their attack. They displayed perfect teamwork with cleanly executed strikes. They would’ve been formidable opponents for someone with equal or slightly higher cultivation.

Other Wind and Moon Palace disciples arrived, intending to trap Ye Wenxin once more. Ye Wenxin looked at the familiar robes around her. She suddenly felt nostalgic for her time in the Wind and Moon Palace.

She had often thought of returning. But if possible, she didn’t want to meet others in this way.

“Sword Ghost, don’t kill anyone.” Ye Wenxin signaled to Sword Ghost. “Buy me some time. I’ll use Phoenix Fire to escape.”

Sword Ghost nodded. Sword qi intensified, creating space around them. Ye Wenxin took out Phoenix Fire from her storage ring.

She planned to leave as quickly as possible. But as she was about to jump on, someone was already sitting on Phoenix Fire.

The person wore a green dress, lying there in an elegant yet captivating posture. She held a wine pot, her eyes slightly glazed as if in a drunken stupor.

It was Liu Churan. She had likely come out to investigate after hearing the commotion outside. Ye Wenxin frowned slightly. She called Sword Ghost back. Sword Ghost launched an attack at Liu Churan.

Liu Churan giggled. Those tempting lips uttered two words.
