Chapter 2: Eating
Both girls were simple-minded.
Qin Ruyan felt that Zhang Qiyao had a kind of innocence that was well protected by her family.
She envied it.
She had also possessed that innocence eight years ago.
However, after her parents passed away, although her uncle and aunt treated her like their own daughter, she knew it was different.
She could cause trouble for her parents, but she couldn’t cause trouble for her uncle and aunt.
So, she had always been careful and cautious all these years.
Zhang Qiyao held her hand and walked outside.
She had driven her car today.
Qin Ruyan glanced at her car, a brand new Panamera, a beautiful car, but she thought black didn’t suit girls very well. Of course, she thought the license plate was even cooler.
Beijing A.11111
She knew Zhang Qiyao’s family was not simple, but she didn’t expect it to be so affluent.
Zhang Qiyao didn’t know what Qin Ruyan was thinking at the moment.
She put on her sunglasses and started the car.
“Yanyan, what do you want to eat for lunch?”
Qin Ruyan pulled herself back from her thoughts.
“It’s been so long since I came back, I don’t know what’s good to eat, can you recommend something?”
Indeed, Beijing had undergone a dramatic change.
When she left, it was already very prosperous, but now it was even more so.
“Then I’ll take you to a place I often go to? It’s run by a friend of mine, the food is pretty good.”
Zhang Qiyao went through the nearby restaurants in her mind, they hadn’t seen each other for so long, they definitely needed to have a good chat, she tried to choose a place with a relatively quiet environment.
Qin Ruyan naturally had no objections.
“Anything is fine, you decide.”
She wasn’t picky, she ate everything.
The two chatted along the way, and after half an hour, they arrived at the restaurant.
The doorman was already waiting there when he saw the car coming in. After Zhang Qiyao and Qin Ruyan got out of the car, he stepped forward to take the car keys and went to park the car. He was quite skilled. Zhang Qiyao naturally threw the keys to the doorman.
Perhaps noticing her confusion, Zhang Qiyao pulled her arm and lowered her head to explain.
“This car is actually my brother’s. He’s on a business trip today and isn’t here. I secretly took it out. When I drive this car on the road, other cars stay far away from it. My driving skills aren’t very good, and I get scared when I encounter traffic jams.”
Qin Ruyan found her explanation a bit funny.
“You should have told me earlier, I wouldn’t have let you pick me up. You’re not even familiar with driving, what if something happens on the road?”
Qin Ruyan thought about it and felt a little scared.
“Next time we go out, we can take a taxi, if you’re still not comfortable driving.”
Zhang Qiyao flipped her hair, “Next time I can have the driver from home send me.”
She was afraid of being squeezed in a taxi, and it wasn’t very convenient. Sometimes, when she felt like it, she would just leave.
Qin Ruyan nodded, thinking about it, it made sense. Someone like Zhang Qiyao, with her family background, probably hadn’t taken a taxi much, and being picked up by a driver was the norm.
After all, that’s how it was written in novels.
The two walked into the private room, which Zhang Qiyao had booked in advance.
The waiter, with a smile on his face, led them inside.
Zhang Qiyao took the menu and ordered a few specialty dishes, then passed the menu to Qin Ruyan.
Qin Ruyan opened the menu and looked at it. Zhang Qiyao had already ordered many dishes, so she just ordered two lighter ones.
After ordering, she handed the menu to the waiter.
Zhang Qiyao leaned closer to her, sitting in the seat next to her.
She took out her phone, with a mischievous expression.
“Yanyan, let’s take a selfie?”
Qin Ruyan was stunned, “Okay.”
She sat up straight, straightened her hair, and looked at the camera.
“Click,” Zhang Qiyao pressed the shutter button.
