Yin Tianyu silently mocked herself. “Don’t listen to my brother’s nonsense; that’s not the case.”
“President Yin is serious. He said that the man who can marry his sister is the luckiest man in the world.”
“Oh, that’s just my brother pampering me too much.” Yin Tianyu felt a slight blush on her cheeks and paused. “But he wouldn’t share such personal matters unless you two have a good relationship?”
This time, it was her turn to serve the ball.
Li Xiangsi seemed surprised that she would counter, her gaze flickering, but then her smile curved her eyes. “No matter how good your relationship is, I think President Yin would praise his sister to anyone he meets; he really cares for you!”
With a gentle flick, she sent the ball back to Yin Tianyu.
A formidable woman; perhaps she really couldn’t compete.
Yin Tianyu quietly smiled bitterly, but her tone grew firmer. “I also really like my brother; he’s a good brother and a good man. It’s a pity he never has a girlfriend. I truly hope a good woman can love him well.”
But it would never be someone as scheming as you.
Yin Tianyu looked directly at Li Xiangsi, believing the other party would surely understand her underlying meaning.
Li Xiangsi’s expression didn’t change, her smile still like a clear lake, but perhaps a small iceberg was quietly emerging somewhere.
“Tianyu, you’re here,” Yin Fanya’s clear voice suddenly rang out at the door, easing the tense atmosphere.
Yin Tianyu stood up, smiling as she welcomed her brother, who habitually opened his arms to embrace her. “What a pleasant surprise! Why did you ask me to lunch today?” He looked down at his sister with affectionate eyes.
“I’m going to Italy with Bai Chen for two weeks, so I wanted to inform you before we leave.” She tilted her head up, playfully acting coy with her brother, while secretly throwing down the gauntlet to Li Xiangsi.
“You’re going abroad?” Yin Fanya looked slightly surprised. “Aren’t the Legislative Yuan in session? Does Bai Chen have time to play?”
“Who told him to promise me last year? I won’t allow him to go back on his word.”
Yin Fanya laughed and tapped his sister’s nose. “When did you learn to be so ‘assertive’?”
He turned to Li Xiangsi. “I’m going out to lunch with Tianyu, so I might be late getting back to the office. If anything comes up, could you handle it for me?”
“I understand.” Li Xiangsi nodded, her smile fading, her tone purely businesslike, disregarding the lingering gaze Yin Fanya had on her and fixing her eyes on Yin Tianyu.
“Miss Yin, I hope you and your ‘husband’ have a great time in Italy.”
Yin Tianyu raised her eyebrows. Was she being overly sensitive? It seemed Li Xiangsi particularly emphasized the word “husband.”
“Thank you!” she replied firmly. “We will definitely have a great time.”
With that, she linked her arm with her brother’s and walked away without looking back, feeling two icy yet fiery gazes on her back!
The war had begun.

Italy
Rome
The Rome of battles, the Rome of gladiators, the Rome of Julius Caesar.
Once the brightest jewel in the Western world, once mysteriously fallen, but now a city full of vitality and passion.
Rome, a place of men’s ambitions and women’s love.
Rome, they were now right here.
Yin Tianyu pushed open the window of the Westin Excelsior Hotel, excitedly gazing at the streets of Rome.
This five-star hotel, located in the heart of Rome, resembled a castle, its beautiful spires telling a fairytale dream in the deep blue dusk.
And the Renaissance-style decor inside, crafted by skilled artisans, was undoubtedly a dream ship, bearing the weight of history.
But all this splendor and beauty couldn’t compare to the streets of Rome, to the charming classical streetlights, or to the Italian handsome man throwing her a kiss under the light.
The warmth of the flying kiss flushed Yin Tianyu’s cheeks, creating a sweet smile.
Noticing the rosy glow on his wife’s cheeks, Lu Bai Chen raised an eyebrow curiously and turned to look out the window, only to find a strange man openly flirting with her. His brows furrowed, and he almost rudely pulled Yin Tianyu away from the window.
“Get inside!”
“Bai Chen, we’re in Rome!” she said, oblivious to his displeasure, her smile still bright.
“Of course, are we in Taiwan?” Lu Bai Chen, with his back to his wife, quietly showed the clueless man on the street his middle finger before slamming the window shut.
“I’m so happy! Do you know I’ve always wanted to come here?” She held his hand, shaking it excitedly.
He looked at her sweet smile with affection. “I know.” But he hadn’t expected her to be as happy as a little girl whose birthday wish had finally come true.
Because she was so joyful, the last bit of hesitation that had lingered in his heart evaporated. His decision was correct; even if this trip had come too suddenly and unexpectedly, even if he had to cancel several engagements and anger a few political bigwigs, it was all worth it.
Because he had never seen his wife smile so innocently, radiating 100% happiness.
She truly felt happy, didn’t she? It wasn’t just an act, was it?
Lu Bochun lowered his gaze, recalling that just before boarding the plane, he received a call from Li Xiangsi. She told him that Tian Yu already knew about their affair.
“She knows? How is that possible?” At her words, cold sweat broke out on his forehead.
“Do you think women are fools? Of course, she can tell,” Li Xiangsi scoffed lightly. “Not only did she figure it out, but she even came to my office and confronted me.”
“Tian Yu confronted you?” He was astonished, and after a moment, he forced out a dry laugh. “That’s impossible; Tian Yu wouldn’t confront anyone.”
She was so gentle and shy…
“Do you think confrontation only counts when someone is shouting like a shrew?” Li Xiangsi snorted. “Yin Tianyu made herself clear enough.”
“I don’t believe it.” He replied stiffly. “If Tian Yu really knew something, there would definitely be signs, but I can’t see any.”
“You don’t understand your wife at all, Bochun.”
Really? He didn’t understand Tian Yu?
Could she really know her husband had fallen for another woman and act as if nothing was wrong?
Tian Yu could pretend?
No! That was impossible; she wasn’t the type to play such deceitful games. She couldn’t possibly engage in that.
With this thought, Lu Bochun instinctively shook his head.
