Chapter 36: Watching His Expression

She felt that Ling Xiao was arrogant and domineering, he looked down on everyone, he was used to getting his own way, she had never expected that such a person would actually learn to be reasonable. 

Lin Shi came out from the inner room, Yao went to greet her and help her up: “Mother.”

The maidservant said: “The Marquis came, but he seemed to have something urgent, so he left first, he said he would come back later to see Old Madam.”

The next morning, Yao got up, she did a simple makeup, she wore a long dress made of fine cotton, her hair was tied up in a bun at the back, she used a light blue ribbon to tie it up, she tied a bow, her dress was clean and neat, she didn’t even use any hairpins. 

Her steps were light, the ribbon tied at the back of her hair fluttered in the wind, she was gentle yet graceful. 

When she arrived at the front gate, the carriage was already prepared, the coachman was waiting, and Chi was also waiting inside. 

“Madam.” 

Yao nodded, she lifted her skirt and got into the carriage. 

But she suddenly heard a servant’s greeting: “Marquis.” 

She turned her head, it was Ling Xiao. 

“Marquis, you’re also going out?” she asked. 

He was being polite to her now, she was also being polite, Ling Xiao was being polite to her, so naturally she would reciprocate.
