“How come they all collapsed?”
“And I remember that Sun Hao, your favorite from college, was exposed for domestic violence a while back. He collapsed too.”
Xu Chunian was puzzled. “Who’s Sun Hao?”
Shen Qingli thought carefully. “He should be the one you liked in your junior year. Anyway, all the guys you liked have collapsed.”
Xu Chunian’s expression was a bit difficult to bear.
As they spoke, they arrived at the film set. As soon as they entered, Xu Chunian saw someone resting on a lounge chair.
Xu Chunian cautiously approached. “Isn’t that the female lead?”
Shen Qingli nodded at her.
A small blanket covered most of her face, making it hard to see clearly.
Shen Qingli had a small assistant, who was quite young and seemed to be fresh out of school for an internship. Soon, she began chatting with Xu Chunian and complaining about the female star.
Xu Chunian, believing in seeing is believing, watched several scenes and finally broke down. Her first comic was based on Shen Qingli’s work, and she was so angry that she spent the whole afternoon complaining.
As it was almost time to pick up Zhuzhu, Xu Chunian said goodbye to them. The assistant was a bit reluctant.
“Come visit me next time. I’m going to pick up my daughter.”
The assistant was surprised, her mouth wide enough to fit an egg. “You’re so young, and you have a child already?”
“Yeah, I’ll show you next time. My daughter is so cute.” Xu Chunian put on her helmet, waved, and rode away.
Watching her leave, the assistant muttered, “She looks about my age, but she already has a child.”
“Sister Li, have you ever met Sister Nian’s husband?”
“Yes.” Shen Qingli watched her disappear around the corner before turning back.
“Is he handsome? Can he handle Sister Nian, who’s so lively and pretty?”
Shen Qingli laughed. “Your Sister Nian is under her husband’s control.”
“Ah!”

Zhuzhu’s kindergarten looked like a princess’s castle from the outside. Inside the main gate, you could see many imported flowers, and occasionally, a sleek cat with well-groomed fur would lazily stretch in the grass.
A fountain in the distance reflected the sunset.
This was almost the best kindergarten in A City. It had its own small zoo and botanical garden. The children spent most of their time outdoors with nature, except on rainy days when they stayed indoors.
Here, the cats and dogs were all very gentle. As soon as a child approached, they would expose their bellies.
Of course, the tuition fees were quite high. Almost all the children here came from wealthy families. As the school day ended, a large number of luxury cars gathered at the entrance, making Xu Chunian’s small electric scooter stand out.
She wanted to drive a luxury car too. She had a driver’s license in her drawer, but she had no memory of learning to drive.
Xu Chunian’s father was a Party member, and she was definitely a law-abiding citizen!
After locking her scooter, Xu Chunian walked inside. The pick-up card was sensing, responsive
.
Xu Chunian marveled at the scenery along the way. If she worked here, she would be willing to live in a villa and drive a luxury car.
She found the entrance to Zhuzhu’s classroom. The teacher saw that she was a stranger.
“Hello, Miss.”
“Oh, hello. I’m Jiang Yu Chu’s mother.”
The teacher was stunned. Usually, a male assistant picked up the child.
Xu Chunian glanced inside. Zhuzhu was sitting in the corner, holding a storybook in her hand. The other children were running around, but she was completely unaffected.
“Zhuzhu.” Xu Chunian called out to her.
Hearing her voice, Zhuzhu looked up, startled. Then, she put the book away and placed it on the small bookshelf in the corner.
Other children noticed the person outside.
“Is that your sister? Jiang Yu Chu?”
Zhuzhu shook her head and ran towards the door.
“Why are you asking her? She’s a mute and can’t speak.”
“How can you say that!”
“Why not? My mom said people who can’t speak are mutes.”
