Shocking! The Villainous Wife’s Husband Turns Out to Be the Capital’s Young Master Chapter 14

Chapter 14: I Don’t Want This Hand Anymore!

Jin Zhao was a little stunned by his words.  Did she seem that desperate in Wei Ting’s eyes?

Although in po-wen, everyone is sensitive and desperate, she was a non-NPC character with self-awareness and control.

“That’s not it…”

As soon as she finished speaking, she noticed Wei Ting’s face darken.

Maybe it’s the lighting, Jin Zhao thought.

“What is it then?”

Wei Ting couldn’t think of anything she wanted besides money and a sham marriage.

“Shuli wants to enter the entertainment industry, so I came to ask for your opinion.” Jin Zhao lowered her head slightly, looking at Wei Ting with a sweet and innocent expression.

His already dark face darkened even further.

“Impossible.”

Wei Ting continued his work. “If you have nothing else, get out.”

Jin Zhao didn’t expect him to be so uncompromising. She squatted down and hugged the table leg. “It’s her wish. As her brother, can’t you fulfill it? Heartless!”

The person working at his desk ignored her.

“If you don’t speak, I’ll drag your desk out.”

Wei Ting sneered, glancing at the exceptionally large golden nanmu desk. “Try it.”

Jin Zhao tried, but the desk didn’t move; it didn’t even shake.

It must be expensive!

She casually tugged at Wei Ting’s pants leg.

“I think it’s normal to have a job you want to do.  Like, if I want to start my own business later, my husband will definitely support me, right?”

Jin Zhao: starry eyes.

Wei Ting looked down at the person sitting on the carpet and asked calmly, “Are you laying the groundwork for your own plans?”

“If you don’t agree, I’ll hug your leg like this and go out, then follow you to your bedroom. There are so many maids outside; I’m not afraid of being embarrassed.”

“Am I afraid?” Wei Ting rested his hand on the armrest of the chair, watching the mischievous person leisurely.

Jin Zhao tentatively tugged at his pants leg and muttered softly.

“Then I can’t guarantee when I’ll pull your pants down. Home pants don’t have belts.”

She was curious about the CEO’s contrast; what if his underwear was pink? That would be shocking.

“Shut up.” Wei Ting couldn’t stand her distracted expression.

Jin Zhao looked up at him. “Then tell me why you don’t want her to go, so I can have a reason to persuade her.”

Wei Ting slightly moved his chair, looking at the person squatting between him and the desk, acting spoiled.

“That industry is a cesspool. She’s someone who wears her heart on her sleeve; it’s not suitable for her.”

Jin Zhao disagreed. “You earn so much money to improve your family’s life. With you around, what could happen to Shuli? Besides, you must have friends who run entertainment companies; what’s wrong with taking care of her?”

“Anyway, I think girls should have their own jobs.  What matters most is liking it; they can always change careers if they’re unhappy. The Wei family should have a low cost of trial and error…”

Jin Zhao was actually a little envious; most people don’t have this opportunity, but Xu Shuli does.

Wei Ting looked down at her, catching a fleeting expression on her face.

After a long time, he said softly.

“Tell her I agree, but she has to listen to me about which company she signs with.”

“Really?!”

Jin Zhao instantly stood up from the carpet.  Just as she was about to express her excitement, her legs, numb from squatting, lost feeling.

She couldn’t stand steadily and fell directly onto the person in front of her.

Wei Ting looked at the person whose entire upper body was on his lap, something bouncing on his leg a few times.

He clenched his fist, his voice low. “Is this how you express your gratitude?”

“Oops…”

Jin Zhao couldn’t control her expression because when she fell, her hand happened to land on a place it shouldn’t have.

Her inner thoughts were probably that meme.

She threw her hand up and shouted, “I don’t want this hand anymore!!!”

“My leg is numb.”

Jin Zhao blinked a few times obediently and then stood up on her own, supporting herself on the table leg, seeing Wei Ting still sitting motionless in the chair.

She felt she should do something.

Jin Zhao used a sweet voice. “Husband.”

Wei Ting looked at her coldly.

Jin Zhao ignored the knife in his eyes and grabbed Wei Ting’s hand on the chair.  Why was it still clenched into a fist?

She struggled to open it, and then—

“Give me five.” She raised her hand and high-fived Wei Ting. “To Shuli’s upcoming successful career! To our first consensus!”

Jin Zhao didn’t care about Wei Ting’s expression; it definitely wouldn’t be good. She dragged her still numb legs and quickly escaped from the study, closing the door behind her.

Wei Ting sat alone in the study, letting the computer screen turn off from lack of use.

Wei Ting stared at his palm, puzzled, then clenched it.

The other maids at Tanyuan only saw Jin Zhao rushing out of the study, her legs unsteady, and her face slightly red.

Actually, she was angry from arguing with Wei Ting.

“With this development, won’t we get Old Master’s bonus soon!” The maids excitedly surrounded Zhang Sao.

Zhang Sao just wanted to swear to take good care of the young mistress.

Since the young mistress arrived, she had already earned almost three times her previous salary.

Jin Zhao didn’t know what the maids were excited about.  Her room and Wei Ting’s study were at opposite ends of the corridor.  She washed her hands at the second-floor sink while texting.

First, she told Xu Shuli the great news.

Then she stared at the hand that had just touched Wei Ting.

Well, the high-five returned the feeling of touch to him; she believed he was very familiar with it.

While Jin Zhao was washing her hands, Xu Shuli’s call came through.

“It’s only this time, and you’ve already whispered sweet nothings? Are you too good, or is my brother too weak?” Xu Shuli laughed wildly on the other end of the phone.

Jin Zhao thought about her fawning, acting spoiled, and flattering, nearly costing her half her life. “You don’t know how much I paid; remember my efforts.”

“How much effort?” The person on the other end of the phone was very gossipy. “Why is there water sound over there? Are you showering after you’re done?”

“Washing my hands.” Jin Zhao squeezed some hand soap onto her hands and rubbed them slowly. This was the first time she had touched a man’s private parts, and her palms felt hot.

“Washing hands—” Xu Shuli sounded even more excited. “Is my brother that restrained?”

Jin Zhao realized she was overthinking.  Just as she was about to scold her for her dirty thoughts, someone appeared beside her.

Wei Ting stood beside her, picked up the phone on the counter, his voice indifferent.

“Xu Shuli, I don’t know if I’m restrained, but I think you’re going to pack your bags and go abroad.”

“Bye, Brother. Sweet dreams.”

The call was hung up. Wei Ting looked at the person still rubbing the foam on their hands, his expression cold.

“Husband, are you done with work?” Jin Zhao looked up at him. “Are you going to rest?”

Wei Ting’s expression was calm. “Come wash your hands.”

Jin Zhao diligently made way. “Yes, yes! Wash.”

She stood beside him, wiping the water from her hands.

After Wei Ting washed his hands, he was about to leave when he suddenly said something to Jin Zhao.

“You’re more suited to acting than Xu Shuli.”
