Arc 2 Let’s Make Some Magical Items That Will Be Useful in the Bath!
Chapter 13 The Missing Item for a Comfortable Bathing Experience
About a week has passed since the slime incident. Since then, the number of customers coming to the store has increased significantly.
The customers who defeated the slime that day seem to have been promoting the store with enthusiasm, and people who became interested in “Bath Cafe Hot” started coming to the store.
Then, people who realized the charm of baths became repeat customers and started coming to the store again and again.
One customer said, “I always thought it was a suspicious store, but after hearing about it and coming here, I found it to be a really good store.” I realized that word of mouth from trustworthy people is important.
Also, the comrades who defeated the slime that day (as I call them) often come to the store.
Just then, the customer from that day came in.
“Oh, welcome.”
“Hey, young lady. I came to take a bath again today.”
The man who came to the store today was the one who said he would “repay the favor” at the beginning. He smiled as he paid the fee for the bath.
“I brought a colleague with me today.”
“Oh, thank you.”
“I can’t live without a bath or the girls’ cooking.”
“Then please keep coming and contribute to the sales of the shop.”
“Hahaha. Of course. I want the young lady’s shop to continue.”
With that, he went into the men’s bath with his colleague. He’s already been here a few times, so he seems used to it.
“Excuse me. Can I order?”
“Yes. Coming!”
Basically Luke works in the dining area, and Lina works as a receptionist.
I mostly cook in the kitchen, but on some days I switch roles with Lina. Today I was at the reception desk.
When I’m at the reception desk, I can see the whole shop well. As I watch the customers, I can’t help but notice that their hair is slightly wet… I sighed softly, thinking about what was missing from my comfortable bathing life.

“Oh, you’re still running such a shabby shop.”
At night. When I went to get the sign outside to close the shop, I heard a voice.
“Aren’t you ashamed? Your engagement was broken off and you’re running a shop like this.”
The girl who approached me was someone who had previously spoken ill of me outside the shop.
Recently, when I was working outside, she started to bother me more. It seems like she doesn’t like the fact that I’ve suddenly started attracting attention.
I’ve always been called a “villainess whose engagement was broken off” or “running a strange shop,” but now that those misunderstandings are starting to clear up, I’m being spoken of as a “poor woman whose engagement was broken off.”
“You know, I have a future partner. Unlike you, poor girl.”
Wow, a girl trying to get the upper hand. This is so tiring. I want to take a bath.
“I’m the daughter of a human who has been entrusted with the governance of this city by the head of the Earl’s family. So, naturally, my partner is a noble person.”
I’m tired after working hard today, so I want to take a bath soon. I wonder what kind of bath I should take.
“My partner is Yuri Wiggins. He is the son of the head of the Earl’s family and serves as the leader of the Knights! Isn’t he amazing?”
“…”
…The name Yuri Wiggins has been heard often in high society.
Although he is the son of an Earl’s family, he is famous for rarely showing up in high society and not even attending parties hosted by the royal family.
However, it seems that he is allowed to do these things because he fulfills his role as the leader of the Knights who exterminates monsters in the Eudrais territory.
I’m sure I heard that he doesn’t have a fiance yet, so I wonder if what she says is true?
While I was quiet, a man came and grabbed her arm.
“Hey, my lady. It’s embarrassing to act like this. Let’s go home now.”
“Wai-, what do you mean?”
“If you’re so interested in the cafe, you should just go in as a customer.”
“What are you talking about? I didn’t mean it that way…”
“Sorry~. I’m going to take it my lady away~”
Ignoring her screams, the man pulled her away.
After the storm-like commotion passed, I returned to the store with the sign.
When I entered, Luke was cleaning the store.
“Welcome back, Lydia-sama. I’ll carry it.”
Looking at his face, I muttered.
“I’m worried.”
“Did that woman say something to you again?”
Luke frowned at my words.
“She’s been coming over a lot lately, haven’t you? So I’ll clean up outside…”
“I’m having trouble because I don’t have anything to dry my hair with.”
“Oh, we’re going in a totally different direction.”
Luke tilts his head at my words.
“You mean drying your hair… can’t you just use a towel?”
