Chapter 22 The Dryer Is Complete

“The hair dryer has arrived!”

“Oh.”

I showed them the box containing the hair dryer. Lina and Luke applauded.

Several weeks had passed since Yuri and I imbued the magic stone with our magic.

Soon after that, I sent the design for the hair dryer along with the magic stone to the manufacturer.

And today, several weeks later, the completed hair dryer arrived at the store.

I hurriedly opened the box to get a glimpse of the dryer delivered by the manufacturer.

A hair dryer with two buttons appeared from inside the box, and Luke picked it up curiously.

 “Wow, so this is what you call a ‘hair dryer’?”

“Yes. If you use this after a bath, you can dry your hair right away.”

“That’s amazing. As expected of a bath fanatic, your ideas are genius-level… Ah, let me use it now.”

“You’re making fun of me, aren’t you? You’re making fun of me, aren’t you? I won’t let you use it!”

As soon as I puffed out my cheeks, Lina spoke up.

“But it’s really amazing. I think women with long hair will be especially happy.”

“That’s right, Lina knows it well! I’ll let you use the hair dryer first.”

As soon as I hugged Lina, she turned back to Luke.

 “Luke, did you see? This is how you get master in a good mood.”

“I see. It’s that simple.”

“…I can see both Luke and Lina look down on me!”

And so, while they were having their usual conversation… they each went into the bath to try out the hair dryer.

After getting out of the bath, they took turns using the hair dryer. It had two settings, so it gave off a warm and a hot wind, and was very easy to use.

After using the hair dryer, Lina and Luke each shared their impressions.

“The wind temperature is just right, it feels good.”

“Ah, I can see why it dries so quickly. It’s so convenient.”

“Right? We live in a cold region, and I don’t think it’s very good to have wet hair.”

If your hair is wet, you’re more likely to catch a cold and your hair is more likely to get damaged. It would be more convenient to have a hair dryer.

 “The quality doesn’t seem to be an issue, so I’ll ask the company to make some more hair dryers.”

　The other day, I infused wind and fire magic into all the magic stones that Yuri and I got together. Because of that, I think I can make several dozen more hair dryers.

“Once I get the extra ones, I’ll start selling them right away!”

The people lined up in front of the store seem to have come to the store to buy the hair dryer.

In fact, the hair dryer, which can dry hair quickly, has become a hot topic, and more people are coming to the store to try it out.

In the first place, many people caught colds because they couldn’t dry their hair after taking a bath, so the invention of the hair dryer was a breakthrough in this area.

Word of mouth spread, and new customers…especially female customers increased.

“Bath Cafe Hot” was doing better than I could have ever imagined when I started the store.

For me, who always wanted to do business well and spread the word about the benefits of baths, I couldn’t be happier about the current situation.

 By the way, the regulars who came after defeating the slime were pleased, saying,

“I guess they’ve finally realized how good your shop is,”

“I’m proud to be a regular who’s been coming since the beginning,”

“You always said you wanted to make it a success,”

and they were happy.

However, it’s a bit worrying that the number of customers who come for the hair dryer has increased. It’s becoming difficult for the regulars who used to look forward to a bath to come to the shop…

So, during my free time, I told Lina about my new plan.

“I want to start selling hair dryers.”

“Why?”

“Our shop is the only one that has hair dryers, so people will gather here because they want to see something unusual, right?”

As it is now, the number of customers is exceeding the capacity of the shop.

It’s good to have people come to the shop, but if it makes it harder for people looking for a bath to come to the shop, then it will be counterproductive.

 “I still have a few dozen brand new hair dryers left that I haven’t used yet, so I might sell them in the store.”

“Why not? I’m sure there will be many people who want to buy them to use when taking a bath at home. How much would you like to set the price at?”

It might be a good idea to provide the company with the recipe to mass-produce them.
