Spill the Tea! The Daily Life of a Disgraced Heiress Waiting for Divorce Chapter 5

Chapter 5 – When the Upper Beam is Crooked, the Lower Beams Fall Askew

“Fourth Uncle, which woman’s bed did you just crawl out of? Playing like this every day—you’d better take care of your health.”

The speaker was Han Anhuai, the eldest son of Han Fuyang, the eldest master of the Han family.

Though it seemed like Han Anhuai was teasing Han Xuzhou, his lecherous eyes were sizing up Li Fan.

He’d been lusting after Li Fan for quite a while. He’d tried making a few overtures, but she never took the bait.

The more she ignored him, the more obsessed he became.

Han Xuzhou was already crippled and had a bunch of mistresses outside, leaving Li Fan cold and neglected.

Han Anhuai really couldn’t understand why she still stuck around.

But in truth, he was overthinking it. Li Fan simply liked Han Xuzhou’s face. Other men all seemed dull to her.

In short, Han Anhuai just wasn’t good-looking enough.

【This Han Anhuai is seriously disgusting. If this were ancient times, I’d be the first to castrate him.】

006: 【No kidding. He’s got a thing going on with Han family’s third madam, Su Xian. Don’t be fooled by how they act all proper. They literally just got out of bed together. Look at the hickey on his neck.】

【Oh ho, a forbidden relationship!】

006: 【He’s into that kind of thrill. If it weren’t for Second Madam Guan Yulin being too old, he’d have tried her too. So you’d better be careful—this dog of a man is always in heat.】

【Not a chance. I’m not like Su Xian, taking anything that moves. I wouldn’t touch Han Anhuai with a ten-foot pole. I’ve only got one more year till the divorce. After that, I can keep a few sugar babies if I want—why would I need to stoop to that? Han Xuzhou is a vengeful bastard. Not worth provoking.】

Just imagining her post-divorce freedom made Li Fan let out a chuckle.

Han Xuzhou slowly turned his head and gave her a dead-eyed look.

“Li Fan, what’s so funny? Care to share the joke?” It was Zhou Jing who spoke—Han Anhuai’s mother.

Li Fan pointed at Han Anhuai’s neck. “I think it’s Big Nephew here who just crawled out of some woman’s bed. Looks pretty fresh too.”

With that, everyone turned to stare at Han Anhuai.

He and Su Xian were already feeling guilty. Now under everyone’s scrutiny, they looked like they were sitting on pins and needles.

No way—he and Su Xian had been very discreet. There’s no way Li Fan could’ve found out.

“Sister-in-law, that dress looks amazing on you today.” Li Fan suddenly shifted her fire toward Su Xian.

Su Xian stiffened and gave an awkward smile.

“The dress is nice, but I’m getting old. Can’t compare to you young things.”

Li Fan blinked and leaned closer.

“You’re not old at all. Don’t they say, women in their thirties are like wolves and tigers—oh wait, I mean, a flower in full bloom!”

Su Xian and Han Bing Shan were in a student-teacher relationship, ten years apart. She wasn’t even forty yet.

That “wolves and tigers” line made Su Xian flinch like she’d been struck by lightning. She panicked and instinctively looked at Han Anhuai.

While she was momentarily dazed, Li Fan reached toward Su Xian’s neck.

“Sister-in-law, how come your foundation’s thicker on your neck than your face?”

Su Xian panicked and slapped her hand away like she’d touched fire.

“I’ve got deep neck lines, so the powder’s heavier.”

Li Fan gave a little “oh” and sat back upright.

006: 【Su Xian’s brooch and Han Anhuai’s cufflinks are actually matching couple items. Even their shoes today—same style.】

【Shameless! These two dogs really think they’re a legit couple, huh?】

Han Xuzhou: “…”

Li Fan didn’t even call him a dog, but somehow “dog couple” still grated on his ears.

Zhou Jing had no interest in Su Xian; her attention was all on Li Fan.

That useless Liu Jie had only lasted a month before her little drugging plan got exposed.

What a pity—it would’ve been better if Li Fan had died.

“Li Fan, that Liu Jie from last time—I was the one who arranged her. I never thought she’d pull something like that. As your sister-in-law, I owe you an apology.”

That apology was obviously insincere. More like saying: Even if I was behind it, what can you do about it?

Li Fan was just a foster daughter from the Shen family. Han Xuzhou didn’t care for her, and Zhou Jing never saw her as worthy.

Li Fan didn’t respond to Zhou Jing. Instead, she fixed her gaze on Han Anhuai.

Han Anhuai was inwardly cursing. Being stared at by her made his scalp tingle.

“Big Nephew, your cufflinks look great. Are they a couple’s set with Third Sister-in-law’s brooch?”

Everyone’s attention shifted back to Han Anhuai, then flicked over to Su Xian.

Zhou Jing narrowed her eyes, irritation rising in her chest.

She’d birthed Han Anhuai—she knew all too well what kind of man her son was.

Su Xian’s face went pale, avoiding Han Bingshan’s probing gaze.

“Must be a coincidence.”

Li Fan let out a light “oh.” “Then those matching couple shoes must be a coincidence too?”

Han Anhuai wished he could rip off everything he was wearing to stop her from pointing things out one by one.

006: 【You’ve just offended Su Xian.】

【Let her be offended. It’s not like she’s a good person.】

006: 【Definitely not. She’s got Han Old Master backing her. Most of the men in the Han family have had a go with her. She’s a man-eater. Especially now that Han Bingshan’s getting old and losing stamina—she even keeps a few young studs on the side. She’s a bit like you. None of hers are over 25.】

【…Excuse me? I haven’t even started yet! Su Xian’s bold, though. She even got into the old man’s bed. Don’t tell me Han Xuzhou had a thing with her too?】

Li Fan glanced at Han Xuzhou with a look of utter contempt.

Han Xuzhou closed his eyes, afraid he might strangle her if he didn’t.

006: 【No, the main villain has standards. He wouldn’t stoop to Su Xian.】

【True. Su Xian’s not even as pretty as Gu Lan. As awful as Han Xuzhou is, at least he’s got taste. That model he had the other day—fair skin, long legs—I liked her too.】

Han Xuzhou: “…”

Grinding his teeth, he muttered, “Shut up.”

Li Fan: “?” I didn’t even say anything.

At that moment, Old Master Han finally spoke. “Enough.”

With his word, no matter how muddy the waters were, everyone had to keep quiet.

His sharp eyes landed on Li Fan. “You’re not sick, are you?”

Li Fan smiled politely. “Not at all.”

He didn’t ask further and told the butler to serve the meal.

Han family mealtimes followed strict rules. Seating was assigned by seniority.

Naturally, Li Fan sat next to Han Xuzhou. She focused on eating, ignoring whatever they were saying.

006: 【Old Master Han’s quite the playboy too. Don’t be fooled—he’s 73, but he still keeps three mistresses.】

【Oh ho? Three! At his age, can he even handle it?】

006 hesitated: 【Not really. But he likes watching his women fool around with other men…】

Li Fan was speechless: 【The entire Han family’s rotten. Not a single clean cucumber in the basket. Look at Han Xuzhou—crippled and still sleeping around. When the upper beam is crooked, the lower beams fall askew!】

Han Xuzhou’s face darkened. He suddenly set his chopsticks down with a loud clack.

Everyone jumped, startled, and turned to look at him.

Old Master Han’s gaze turned steely. “If you can’t eat, then leave.”

Han Xuzhou had just learned some of his father’s dirty secrets and really couldn’t bear to look anymore.

If he stayed, Li Fan would probably strip all the Han family’s dirty laundry bare.

He pulled off his napkin, wiped his hands, and said calmly, “Enjoy your meal.”

As he left, Li Fan naturally followed. She reluctantly dragged her eyes away from the lobster.

【Ughhh, didn’t even get a single bite!】
