Chapter 42: The Sweetness of Two
The next day, when Lin You opened her eyes, she found Qin Lang still lying in bed, which was a rare sight.
Recalling last night’s events, Lin You’s face blossomed into a smile. She never expected he had thought of her so early in the morning, and to hear him say he loved her last night was surprising, given his typically stoic demeanor.
Her smile widened as she leaned forward to give Qin Lang a light kiss on his firm lips. Just as she intended to pull away, his lips captured hers.
Qin Lang then shifted to press down on her again, his hands beginning to explore her delicate, smooth skin.
After a while, Lin You lay on Qin Lang’s chest, feeling weak. “Hubby, I’m hungry.”
Qin Lang chuckled softly. “Didn’t I just feed you?”
Lin You playfully punched his chest, trying to get off him.
Qin Lang quickly wrapped his arms around her, gazing into her still passionate eyes, her shy gaze, flushed cheeks, and swollen lips.
Burying his head in her chest, he whispered, “Yoyo, this is the happiest moment of my life. Say you love me.”
“Qin Lang, I love you.”
Hearing her satisfactory response, Qin Lang lightly pecked her lips before getting up to prepare breakfast.
After the meal, they looked at the leftover cake on the table, both with a hint of melancholy.
“It seems like the cake can’t be eaten.”
“If it can’t be eaten, let’s throw it away.”
“That feels a bit wasteful.”
“Then I’ll eat it.”
“Better not.”
“Next time, remember not to buy such a big one.”
“Okay.”
The two spent the entire day at home, hardly going out except to eat, mostly lingering in bed.
After dinner, Qin Lang carried Lin You back to bed, kissing her lightly on her face and various parts of her body.
His strong hands were not idle either, igniting passion everywhere.
Lin You’s face flushed again as she struggled to avoid his touch, occasionally letting out a tinkling laugh.
When Qin Lang finally calmed down for a moment, Lin You took the chance to lie on top of him, her hands caressing his firm chest.
In a low voice, she complained, “You’re just like an ancient emperor who is obsessed with beauty.”
Upon hearing her metaphor, Qin Lang lifted her slightly to meet her gaze and replied, “That’s because you’re a fairy.”
Lin You, annoyed, tried to get up from him, but their clothes had long been removed by Qin Lang.
At that moment, Lin You’s movements revealed her beauty to him completely.
Noticing his crimson eyes, she hurriedly covered his eyes, but the genuine contact in the darkness only fueled his desire.
Qin Lang tightly wrapped his arms around her waist, flipping her over again.
Lin You pressed her hands against his chest, pleading softly, “No, I’m wrong. You’re the brave Qin squad leader, not some foolish emperor.”
Seeing his unyielding gaze, she continued to persuade him, “It’s fine to indulge a little, otherwise, what will you do when you’re on a mission and think of this?”
Qin Lang saw the kiss marks on her neck and chest, realizing he indeed shouldn’t continue.
Burying his head in her neck, he thought about how he needed to stay vigilant during missions there wouldn’t be time to think about this.
The relationship between husband and wife is truly fascinating. It isn’t like love that burns fiercely, pouring in all heart when in love and decisively leaving when not.
Instead, a marriage is more like two unrelated strangers living together daily, gradually discovering the attraction in each other, falling in love, and eventually becoming a part of each other’s lives.
Qin Lang and Lin You were not strangers, they had unknowingly fallen deeply in love with each other through their previous interactions. However, due to their infrequent reunions and constant separations, they had yet to realize each other’s feelings.
Now, they understood each other’s thoughts and no longer felt insecure like before, thus experiencing unparalleled joy in their intimate encounters.
In the days that followed, Lin You often acted cute towards Qin Lang, and he would sweetly say just the right words to make her happy, their lives becoming as inseparable as glue.
