Chapter 63: Everything Planned for Her

As days went by, Lin You was busy as usual in the health team.

Then, Qin Lang went on another mission.

Later, Shan Ye led the team on several missions by himself.

A month ago, after Qin Lang went on a mission with Shan Ye, he had been busy at the station.

Due to the need for confidentiality in military work, he didn’t disclose too many details to Lin You, and she didn’t press for information.

One day at noon, after finishing her night shift, Lin You was taking a nap at home, half asleep, when Qin Lang suddenly returned and woke her up.

Seeing the joy on Qin Lang’s face, Lin You rubbed her eyes and sat up, confused, and asked, “What’s going on? Why are you so happy?”

Qin Lang stood up straight, smiling at her.

It was then that Lin You noticed a new star on his insignia he had been promoted.

Lin You got off the bed, walked up to him, gently placed her hands on the back of his neck, and smiled as she congratulated him, “Congratulations to our team leader for being promoted to colonel!”

Then, playfully, she asked, “So how should we celebrate? Or how should we reward our hero?”

Qin Lang stepped forward, picked Lin You up, and spun her around a few times in excitement. Lin You was also infected by his joy and laughed happily.

When Qin Lang finally set her down, she asked again, “Why did you get promoted so suddenly?”

Qin Lang gently tapped her forehead and reminded her, “How can you say it’s sudden? This is recognition of my work!”

Lin You nodded, smiling in agreement.

Qin Lang looked at her bright and cheerful expression, feeling a surge of emotion. He couldn’t help but lean down and gently kiss her lips.

The kiss was soft and warm, filled with endless tenderness and love. Lin You was startled by the sudden kiss but quickly melted into it, responding to his passion.

As they became reluctant to part and their breathing grew erratic, Qin Lang timely pulled away, holding her close to adjust their breaths.

His eyes were filled with deep affection and indulgence as he softly urged, “You should get up and eat something. Take another nap this afternoon, and tonight I’ll take you out for dinner.”

Lin You nodded slightly, feeling the warmth of his embrace.

Qin Lang gave her a light peck and said with a smile, “Tonight, I’ll tell you some good news.”

Lin You, curious, asked, “What good news?”

Qin Lang smiled mysteriously, “You’ll find out tonight.”

With that, he turned and left the room.

Lin You was left puzzled, wondering what the news could be. However, seeing Qin Lang’s excited expression, she felt reassured.

Initially, she could have slept a little longer, but after being stirred by Qin Lang, Lin You couldn’t fall asleep again. So, she headed to the kitchen to find something to eat.

In the afternoon, Lin You took another short nap, and when Qin Lang returned, she had just woken up.

Seeing her still sleepy and lazy appearance, Qin Lang couldn’t help but chuckle.

He knew that she had loved sleeping since she was a child, often spending her free time sleeping. But when she had something important to do, she could stay up late without a problem.

Qin Lang softly said to her, “You can lie down a little longer.”

Then he took out a change of clothes and walked into the bathroom.

When Qin Lang came out of the shower, Lin You had just finished tidying up. Qin Lang walked over, wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and casually asked, “Did you eat lunch today?”

“I did.”

Qin Lang nodded in satisfaction, “Let’s go.”

Driving the car, Lin You sat in the passenger seat, looking out the window at the lush green trees, their leaves glistening. The weather was gradually warming up.

If she were in City C, it would be time to wear short sleeves, but it was much cooler here.

Unconsciously, she had been there for a year.

In this year, she had met new friends and colleagues. Her relationship with Qin Lang had also changed dramatically. They had gone through a lot together, and their feelings for each other had deepened.

Thinking about this made Lin You feel sentimental. She turned to look at Qin Lang, her eyes filled with love and happiness.

Sensing her gaze, Qin Lang gently asked, “What are you thinking about?”

Lin You smiled slightly and replied, “I was thinking that I’ve been here for a whole year.”

Qin Lang also sighed, “A year has passed so quickly.”

“Yeah.”

“Time flies when I’m with you.”

Lin You couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Qin Lang was confused and looked at her with curiosity.

“Your sweet talk comes easily now.”

“What? Don’t you like it?” Qin Lang raised his eyebrows and asked.

“No, it’s just a bit unexpected.”

“Then I must have said too little before, making you feel unaccustomed.” Qin Lang said, teasingly.

“Haha…” Lin You laughed heartily.

Seeing her so happy, Qin Lang felt an immense sense of satisfaction.

Suddenly, Lin You remembered something and asked, “Now that you’ve been promoted, do you need to treat the team?”

“Yes, we’ll treat them tomorrow at noon.”

“Okay.”

“By the way, why did they promote you? Was it because the last mission went well?” Lin You asked curiously.

“Exactly, and Shan Ye was also promoted to major.” Qin Lang explained.

“But you only went for three days last time.” Lin You said, puzzled, turning to look at Qin Lang.

Qin Lang reached out to ruffle her hair and patiently replied, “It was because we completed a seven day task in three days.”

As for the rest, Qin Lang couldn’t say too much, and Lin You understood.

When they arrived at the restaurant, Lin You sat alone waiting for the dishes to arrive.

After a while, Qin Lang walked in holding a bouquet of Elsa roses and handed them to Lin You.

Lin You held the flowers, her face filled with happiness, and she leaned in to kiss Qin Lang’s cheek.

Seeing that Lin You had nearly finished eating, Qin Lang spoke up about tonight’s purpose

“Wife, I’ve asked around. The cardiovascular department at the Third Hospital in the city is hiring doctors.”

Upon hearing this, Lin You paused her chopsticks and looked up at Qin Lang.

“They will start recruiting after autumn; you can prepare to apply for the exam now.” After saying this, Qin Lang picked up his phone and sent the application link to Lin You.

Lin You opened her phone to check, and as Qin Lang said, she found that she met all the requirements. She couldn’t help but feel overjoyed, looking at Qin Lang with a bright smile.

Qin Lang gently held her hand and said softly, “Staying in the health team for so long has indeed been a bit of a waste for you.”

“Now that there’s an opportunity to work at a city hospital, and originally you were only supposed to stay here for a year, why not give it a try? I believe with your abilities, it shouldn’t be a big problem.”

Then, Qin Lang detailed his future plans:

“If you succeed, we can rent a place here. When I’m not on duty, I can come to keep you company, and when you’re not on duty, you can come back to the station.”

“When we have children in the future, they can also go to school here.”

Lin You felt touched after hearing this and nodded. She didn’t expect him to consider everything so comprehensively, even the education of their future children.

Standing up, she moved to sit beside Qin Lang, tightly holding his hand.

“Thank you, husband. I love you.”
