Chapter 69: Love
After dinner, Lu Li left, and Qin Lang took the initiative to wash the dishes. Lin You quietly stood at the kitchen door, watching his skilled movements.
Once Qin Lang finished, he turned around and saw Lin You standing at the door.
He picked up a towel to dry his hands, smiled as he walked over, and gently wrapped an arm around her shoulders while asking, “What’s up? Why are you staring at me?”
Lin You hugged his waist, burying her head in his chest as she softly confessed, “I feel like you’re getting better and better, and I can’t get enough of you.”
Hearing this, Qin Lang felt a pang of bitterness in his heart and could only hold her tightly without saying a word.
Lin You felt he was holding her a bit too tightly, almost making it hard to breathe. She instinctively tried to struggle free, but found she couldn’t move at all.
With no other option, she gently pushed Qin Lang and said softly, “Qin Lang, you’re hugging me too tightly. I can’t breathe.”
Qin Lang didn’t respond; he simply picked Lin You up and walked slowly into the bedroom.
He gently laid her on the bed, then softly kissed her forehead, followed by her eyes and the tip of her nose, before finally resting his lips on hers, kissing her repeatedly.
Lin You closed her eyes, savoring this rare tenderness. Her hands naturally found their way to the back of his neck, and she began to respond to his kisses.
As time passed, Qin Lang’s movements became less gentle, almost as if he wanted to merge her completely with himself.
Unconsciously, their clothes had already fallen to the floor.
At that moment, the two of them lay in bed, fingers tightly intertwined, both yearning to pull the other deeper into themselves.
The room was filled with hurried breaths and soft sighs.
The entire bedroom was a whirlwind of passion.
Afterward, Lin You lay on Qin Lang’s chest, catching her breath while feeling the strong, steady beating of his heart, which gave her an overwhelming sense of security.
Qin Lang gently caressed her smooth, delicate skin, his eyes reflecting a deep sense of fulfillment.
Despite the immense physical satisfaction, he still felt an emptiness inside.
He wanted to tell her everything, to urge her to be strong, to encourage her to return to City C and be with her parents, promising her he would come back safely and that she should wait for him.
But he couldn’t express any of it. The army had strict rules, and he couldn’t tell her the truth about things, even his father wouldn’t know until the very end.
All the words he wanted to say turned into the most heartfelt confession “Wife, I love you.”
Lin You, feeling weak all over, softly replied, “Mm.”
Qin Lang didn’t hear the answer he hoped for, so he quietly slid a hand to her waist, beginning to gently tease her sensitive spots.
Feeling his touch, Lin You immediately squirmed, trying to evade him.
Her face flushed, her breathing quickened.
Qin Lang had no intention of letting her off easily, continuing to playfully tease her.
In her attempts to avoid his touches, Lin You found herself constantly moving against him.
Her movements made Qin Lang shudder with pleasure, he could no longer bear her antics.
He flipped her over, pinning her beneath him for a new round of affection.
This time, his movements were gentle and slow, every detail expressing his careful attention and abundant love for her.
When everything finally calmed down, Lin You felt utterly exhausted.
In the end, it was Qin Lang who held her as they washed up.
After coming out of the bathroom, he tenderly dried her hair and gently massaged her body.
Seeing Lin You peacefully asleep, Qin Lang gradually stopped his movements, carefully turned off the light, and climbed into bed, afraid of waking her.
He held her tightly in his arms, feeling her soft body and listening to her steady breathing, his emotions complicated and unable to find sleep.
In his heart, Qin Lang silently thought “She belongs to me alone. No matter who I entrust her to care for, I can’t find peace.”
He couldn’t help but think that if one day he were truly gone, he would never want her to remarry. He couldn’t be as magnanimous and selfless as Wang Xin.
Just the thought of her marrying another man made his heart ache unbearably, not to mention the possibility that one day she might forget him.
So he was determined to make her pregnant as soon as possible. That way, even if he weren’t around, she would still have the child for companionship.
He could be certain that once she had a child, she would never choose the path her mother took back then.
Call him selfish or irresponsible, he simply couldn’t accept the idea of her becoming someone else’s wife.
His family didn’t lack for money, and his parents would take good care of her and their child, ensuring she wouldn’t suffer any grievances.
He would also complete his mission as quickly as possible and return to her side.
Unbeknownst to him, two glistening tears rolled down his resolute and handsome face, representing his deep reluctance and attachment to Lin You.
In the darkness, Qin Lang gently lowered his head and kissed her forehead, promising, “Yoyo, no matter what happens, you must live well and wait for me to come back.”
The next morning, when Lin You opened her eyes, Qin Lang was no longer in bed.
She thought he must have gone for morning exercises.
Getting out of bed, she found some clothes to wear and walked into the living room, where she saw the balcony filled with the clothes from yesterday.
A smile crept onto her lips as she walked into the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
When Lin You finished and brought the food to the dining table, Qin Lang returned just in time.
Lin You softly called out, “Honey, you’re back. Wash your hands and let’s eat.”
Seeing her refreshed appearance, Qin Lang walked over, gave her a quick peck on the corner of her lips, and smiled, saying, “Wife, good morning.”
Lin You shyly lowered her head and urged him again to wash his hands and eat.
In the following days, just as Qin Lang said, he was indeed very busy every day, sometimes returning late at night.
Whenever he came back, regardless of whether Lin You was asleep, he would kiss her awake and pull her into endless intimacy.
Tonight, Lin You was extremely tired. Seeing Qin Lang approaching again, she directly refused, “No, aren’t you tired?”
She gently stroked under his eyes, lowering her voice to say, “You have dark circles, aren’t you afraid of overexerting yourself?”
“Doing this for a long time isn’t good for your health.”
Qin Lang smiled slightly, taking her hand and kissing it.
He noticed her dark circles as well, realizing they had both been overdoing it recently. But the less time they spent together, the more he wanted to be close to her whenever she was by his side.
Leaning down, he placed a soft kiss on her forehead, saying, “Wife, I love you.”
“No matter what happens in the future, you must trust me.”
Lin You nodded.
“Honey, I love you too.”
