Chapter 36
Pei Yuning: “What about you? Why did you mention it yesterday that I should have a video chat with my grandparents? Obviously, the elders have already met each other.”
Shang Yanci: “When did you know?”
Pei Yuning: “She mentioned it by chance when I was chatting with grandma at noon.”
Shang Yanci explained carefully: “My wife and I didn’t have any emotional foundation before. If I let you meet unfamiliar elders immediately after getting the certificate, you will have the illusion that I am urging you to move forward. I don’t think anyone will like this feeling.”
Shang Yanci: “I didn’t intend to mention the video meeting yesterday, but grandparents really wanted to see you, and they would send me messages every day to ask about you. I recalled the process of getting along with us after getting the certificate, and I thought it was pretty good, so I mentioned it to you.” Pei Yuning was quiet for
a moment after listening, and put her hands around Shang Yanci’s strong waist and abdomen: “A Yan, you have such a heavy thought in your heart.”
Shang Yanci whispered: “Because I don’t want my wife to hate me.”
Pei Yuning kissed him: “I won’t hate you.”
The kiss was like a dragonfly touching the water, and it broke at the touch.
Shang Yanci raised his hand and clasped the back of her neck, closing the distance between them. He pressed his warm tongue tip against her lips and teeth, absorbing her sweetness.
Since you don’t hate me, try to love me. Don’t just like someone superficially, but love him passionately and deeply.
After dinner, the two drove back to Wentang Palace.
Shang Yanci walked into the study and continued to copy the registration book. After two more nights of writing, you can tie a knot of love on the gift book.
Estimating the time it would take Pei Yuning to wash up, Shang Yanci put down the brush in his hand, waited for the golden ink on the etiquette book to dry naturally, walked out of the study, and went downstairs to make vanilla milk for her.
Pei Yuning finished her shower, opened the bathroom door, and continued with her skin care.
I recalled every moment I spent with Shang Yanci at Yuhua Garden over the weekend, and my face turned redder the more I thought about it.
How did they kiss? And we slept in the same bed for two nights? Will we sleep together tonight?
After the skin care process was completed, Pei Yuning walked out of the bathroom and saw Shang Yanci leaning on the other side of the wedding bed.
He was wearing a black silk nightgown, his sharp collarbone faintly visible at the collar, and a pair of gold-rimmed glasses on his high nose. He was flipping through a book in his hands, reading it intently and intently.
Pei Yuning walked over, picked up the vanilla milk on the bedside table, and drank it slowly. She stood silently beside the bed, looking down at someone who was immersed in a book on the bed.
Shang Yanci seemed to have noticed her only at this moment. He finally took his eyes off the book and looked up at her: “Madam.”
Pei Yuning: “Are you going to sleep here tonight?”
Shang Yanci put down the book in his hand, sat up, and put his hand on her lower abdomen: “I will stay with you until your period is over.”
Pei Yuning: “What about after your period is over?”
Shang Yanci answered seriously: “Then I will find a new excuse to stay.”
Pei Yuning finished drinking the vanilla milk and turned to walk towards the bathroom.
Shang Yanci stood up and followed her. He lifted the hair beside her ears, twisted her small ears with his fingertips, and chuckled lazily and contemptuously: “Madam, your ears are red, so cute.”
Pei Yuning: “I’m not!”
“Well, your ears are not red, I was mistaken.” Shang Yanci took the thermal insulation glass cup from her hand and rinsed it clean.
Pei Yuning was standing aside brushing her teeth, with a faint citrus scent, a bit like the top note of Shang Yanci’s perfume – bergamot.
When she lowered her head to rinse her mouth, Shang Yanci reached out to gather her long curly hair, and his fingertips lightly stroked her fair neck.
Pei Yuning’s heart trembled slightly. He raised his eyes to look at the rubber band on the shelf, then quietly moved his gaze away.
They walked out of the bathroom, turned off the lights and rested.
The bed in the bridal chamber was bigger than the bed in her own bedroom.
Pei Yuning: “Ayan, I want to spray your perfume tomorrow.”
Shang Yanci was sleeping on his side, very close to her, and his warm palms were rubbing her lower abdomen gently: “Okay, do you like that smell?”
Pei Yuning leaned close to his neck and smelled it: “I like it.”
The warm and shallow breath fell on the skin of her neck. Shang Yanci’s Adam’s apple rolled, and he advised in a low voice: “Madam, don’t get so close to me.”
Pei Yuning insisted on getting close to him: “I want it!”
Shang Yanci coaxed him gently: “Okay, I want it, good night, madam.”
Pei Yuning kissed the side of his face: “Good night, Ayan.”
The next morning.
When Pei Yuning woke up, Shang Yanci was no longer in bed. He probably went to the gym across the street.
She sat up from the bed, walked leisurely into the bathroom, washed and put on makeup.
When I lived in Yuhua Mingyuan, it took me 50 minutes to commute to the group, and I had to drive away from home at 8 o’clock. After half an hour of coffee and breakfast, she had to leave the bedroom at 7:30 at the latest. She often has to get up around six-fifty in the morning to wash and put on makeup.
But in Wentang Palace, she can leave home at 8:30 and stay in bed longer in the morning.
All in all, marrying Shang Yanci improved her sleep quality to a certain extent.
After Pei Yuning finished putting on her makeup, she picked up Shang Yanci’s perfume bottle, sprayed it on the curling comb, and combed her curly hair. Then spray on your wrists, fingertips, behind your ears, and collarbones.
Putting down the perfume bottle, Pei Yuning looked up and saw from the mirror that Shang Yanci walked into the bathroom. He reached out and lifted the hem of his white sleeveless vest, revealing his well-defined abdominal muscles. Crystal clear beads of sweat slid down across the blue veins in his muscles, and the waistband of his gray pants was wet.
Their eyes met.
Shang Yanci paused slightly, loosened his hands, and let his half-lifted vest fall naturally, covering his abdominal muscles. His voice was low and sexy after exercise: “Madam, good morning.”
Pei Yuning almost whistled, and after a while, she said: “Good morning, are you done with your exercise?”
Shang Yanci: “Yeah, I’m getting ready to take a shower. Are you done with your makeup?”
Pei Yuning blinked, raised her finger and touched her lips in the air: “Is the color of the new lip gloss pretty?”
Shang Yanci looked at her sparkling red lips, like the crystal clear morning dew kissing the delicate heart of a rose in the early morning.
His Adam’s apple rolled, and he suppressed the desire to kiss her, praising her in a low voice: “Very beautiful.”
Pei Yuning smiled: “I’ll go downstairs to make coffee, you go wash up.”
When passing by him, Shang Yanci smelled her own perfume. This feeling is hard to describe. Before he could express it in clear words, he reached out and grabbed Pei Yuning’s wrist.
