Chapter 1 – Transmigrated into a Book
“Little beauty, you’ve finally fallen into my hands, hehe…”
A lecherous voice rang out.
A sleazy-looking young man drooled as he slowly approached a pale, beautiful woman lying on a haystack.
“Little beauty, here I come~”
Lian Yuqing’s head throbbed painfully as she regained consciousness in the dark. Just as she opened her eyes, she saw an extremely disgusting face inches away, puckering his lips and moving toward her.
“Dare to take advantage of me? Die!”
Lian Yuqing loathed perverts the most. With lightning speed, she delivered a swift, vicious kick to his groin.
The next second, a pig-like scream echoed beside her.
“Ahhhhhh!!”
Sun Dazhi clutched his crotch and collapsed to the ground, writhing like a maggot. Cold sweat poured from his forehead as his fingers trembled.
“You… you bitch…”
Towering over him, Lian Yuqing glared down coldly. She didn’t know why she was here or why she was dressed in these strange clothes, but first she needed to deal with this sick pervert.
With that in mind, she kicked him a few more times.
“I saw your Dazhi rolling in the haystack with the Wei family’s daughter-in-law!”
“You spout nonsense again, I’ll kill you, you fat hag!”
…
Voices of several women arguing came from nearby. Before Lian Yuqing could react, she was suddenly surrounded.
Aunt Cai was also stunned. She had seen Sun Dazhi and the Wei family’s daughter-in-law sneak into the haystack one after another. That’s why she went and told Sun Dazhi’s mother!
What’s going on now? Why are their clothes still on?!
“My son! What happened to you?”
Seeing her son groaning in pain on the ground, Sun Dazhi’s mother rushed over and threw herself on top of him. She shouted at Lian Yuqing, “What did you do to my son?!”
“A man and a woman coming to the haystack together—what do you think they were doing?”
“That Wei Dong hasn’t come back for over a year. She’s clearly craving a man!”
The gossiping women’s eyes darted between Sun Dazhi and Lian Yuqing, chattering so noisily that Lian Yuqing got a headache.
Suddenly, a flood of unfamiliar memories surged into her mind.
She had transmigrated into a book.
In the novel, there was a villainous supporting female character with the same name as her—Lian Yuqing—who was reluctantly married to the male lead, a soldier. She acted out constantly, and when the male lead was severely injured on a mission and nearly died, she divorced him immediately and ran off with her first love.
That’s when the female protagonist entered the picture, devotedly caring for the male lead, encouraging him, and eventually marrying him. With military merits, the male lead rose higher and higher.
As for “Lian Yuqing,” after running off, she discovered her lover was trash. She underwent multiple abortions and eventually couldn’t have children. Abandoned, she fell into disrepute and ended up dying from illness in a brothel.
Lian Yuqing sneered. She was a proper heiress, and now she was not only forcibly thrown into a book—but as the villainess?!
Let someone else follow this crappy plot!
While she was zoning out, someone gave her a hard shove, and she landed harshly on the ground, nearly breaking her tailbone.
She glared fiercely at Sun Dazhi’s mother. Never in her life had she been treated like this.
“I’ll kill you, you vixen! Seducing my son wasn’t enough? You dare hit him too?!”
Seeing her son clutching his groin in agony, afraid she’d never have grandchildren, Sun Dazhi’s mother flew into a rage and charged at Lian Yuqing. She sat right on her legs and raised a hand to slap her.
But Lian Yuqing wasn’t someone to mess with. She grabbed the woman’s hair and yanked hard—nearly tearing the scalp off. The slap never landed. Sun Dazhi’s mother cursed as she struggled.
Lian Yuqing took advantage of her distraction and viciously pinched her chest and waist, quickly gaining the upper hand.
The onlooking women were stunned.
Wasn’t the Wei family’s daughter-in-law usually weak and frail, looking like she hadn’t eaten a full meal?
How was she now beating Sun Dazhi’s mother until she wailed?!
Though they were all from the same village, they couldn’t just let someone get beaten up. The women stepped in to break up the fight.
Lian Yuqing panted heavily. She hated how weak this body was—just one fight and she was out of breath. Useless.
“You think you can beat me? Even my parents have never hit me! You’re just bullying me because my husband isn’t home! Fine! I’m going to hang myself from the village’s big banyan tree. When I die, it’ll be your fault!”
She clutched her chest, tears falling, her hair a mess and her clothes wrinkled. Her angry cries made her look utterly wronged.
Sun Dazhi’s mother was in agony. That damned girl used every dirty trick she could. Her chest probably had bruises all over—but she couldn’t exactly lift her shirt and show people.
The commotion grew. More villagers gathered, whispering and pointing at Lian Yuqing.
Seeing an opportunity, Sun Dazhi’s mother yelled, “You little fox! Always seducing my son! Just look at your seductive face! Everyone judge for yourselves!”
Lian Yuqing snorted.
“Maybe take a look at your son’s ugly face. One glance at him and I’d lose my appetite for three days. Me, seduce him? What, do I have brain damage or am I blind?”
“You slut!”
Sun Dazhi’s mother couldn’t bear to hear her son insulted—she thought her son was the best.
“Then tell me—why were you at the haystack with my son?”
Obviously because…
According to the original memory, the previous Lian Yuqing had argued with her mother-in-law and stormed out, ending up at the haystack. Sun Dazhi must’ve followed her and knocked her out when she wasn’t looking, planning to assault her.
Her eyes scanned the crowd—and then she saw a man in military uniform.
“Honey, you’re finally back! I almost died here!”
She pushed through the crowd and threw herself into the man’s arms. She felt firm abs and a slim waist under her arms—so she hugged him even tighter.
Wei Dong, holding a soft, sweet-smelling woman in his arms, looked a little helpless. He finally asked,
“Lian Yuqing, what’s going on?”
His voice was deep, rich, and magnetic. Lian Yuqing silently gave the male lead a few extra points in her head. She slowly looked up, tears brimming in her eyes, her expression pitiful.
“I argued with Mom and ran off… that pervert came from behind and knocked me out.”
As she spoke, she guided Wei Dong’s large hand to the back of her head.
His fingers brushed against something warm and soft—then suddenly, he felt wetness. Blood.
His eyes narrowed. Wei Dong noticed a bloodied rock beside Sun Dazhi and immediately knew she wasn’t lying.
“It hurts so much~” Lian Yuqing whimpered softly in his arms.
The fragile, delicate tone stirred something in him—an ache he shouldn’t be feeling.
His eyes turned icy as he looked at Sun Dazhi.
Wei Dong led Lian Yuqing toward Sun Dazhi’s mother.
“Aunt Jiang, I may not have been home, but I’m not dead. Hurting my wife—I won’t let this go.”
The blood on his hand shut everyone up.
Lian Yuqing glanced at the stoic man beside her and couldn’t help but feel a wicked thrill—
Damn, he was really attractive.
A man who fiercely protects his wife is always the hottest.
