Chapter 22: I Believe Changdong Will Definitely Wake Up!

The two of them, one explicit and one implied, one asking and one answering, exchanged some flirtatious banter, then got down to business. Su Luyun tested the Vermillion Bird Soup to see if it was drinkable, then propped Zhou Changdong up with a pillow and began to feed him.

She coaxed Zhou Changdong like a child while feeding him the soup, “Slowly, no rush, take your time, drink slowly.” It was the same old lines, repeated over and over, but Zhou Changdong loved to hear them. He always loved hearing her talk to him as if she were coaxing him. Pink bubbles appeared, showing how happy he was at that moment. Why else would they say that male psychology equals child psychology? Treat him like a child, and you’re guaranteed to get him to obey!

Zhou Changdong’s heart felt incredibly warm. “Wife, thank you.”

Su Luyun smiled, “Your teeth are so nice, neat and white. You can tell you’re a clean person at a glance!” Such a mouthful of natural teeth was truly priceless!

Zhou Changdong started emitting pink bubbles again; his wife even complimented his teeth!

Su Luyun was busy when she heard her father-in-law’s voice from outside. She opened the door to see that her father-in-law and Zhou Changping had arrived. The two had eaten dinner at home after work and came over together, also wanting to see if they could lend a hand. Su Luyun brought them in to see Zhou Changdong. Seeing Zhou Changdong halfway through brushing his teeth, Zhou Changping paused. “Sister-in-law, are you brushing Changdong’s teeth?”

“Yes, I just fed him rice porridge, so he needs to brush his teeth, right? If he doesn’t, they’ll decay,” Su Luyun said as she carefully and gently brushed Zhou Changdong’s teeth in front of them.

Zhou Quansheng watched her awkward but very patient demeanor, and his third son’s clean and tidy appearance. He knew without asking that his third daughter-in-law was taking very good care of his third son! Su Luyun was busy while also telling Zhou Quansheng about Zhou Changdong’s condition today. “She even brushes his teeth,” Zhou Quansheng added.

Chen Airong said, “Yes, she keeps him spotlessly clean. Today, he wet the bed, but she didn’t show any disgust or impatience. You used to say she was ignorant and that our third son would suffer later, but look now, she takes care of him more diligently than anyone!”

Zhou Quansheng then said to her, “You thought the same thing yourself, didn’t you?”

Chen Airong didn’t deny it. For the past three years, she had felt that their third daughter-in-law was unreliable. But unexpectedly, their third daughter-in-law, who was so arrogant towards others, was genuinely good to their third son!

“Should we really let our third daughter-in-law stay?” Zhou Quansheng asked.
