Chapter 22: The Fire You Started, You Must Put Out
The man’s deep, magnetic voice calling out “wife” made Ji Jinbai’s ears go soft. He wasn’t really angry in the first place.
He gently raised his arms to wrap around his waist, resting his head on his chest, pouting as he said, “I’m not your wife.”
“If you don’t want to be my wife, then what do you want to be, hmm?”
Lu Tingshen lowered his head, pinching his cheek and smiling as he looked at him.
Ji Jinbai impatiently nuzzled his shoulder, “You’re so annoying~”
“Alright, let’s sign this first.”
“Are you really giving this to me?”
Lu Tingshen, with his wealth and influence, said, “Yes, it’s nothing to me. Whatever I give you in the future, just accept it. After all, your husband may not have much, but he has plenty of money.”
Hearing him refer to himself as “husband,” Ji Jinbai’s face turned red.
Taking his words to heart, Ji Jinbai didn’t hesitate and quickly signed his name.
From today on, Ji Jinbai owned a house worth eighty million.
He stood on his tiptoes and planted a kiss on his lips, wrapping his arms around his neck, his voice sweet and obedient as he said, “Thank you, Sir~ I shouldn’t have been harsh with you earlier. I was wrong~”
“Mmm.”
Lu Tingshen noticed it was almost two in the morning. He wrapped his arm around his waist and tucked him into bed, “It’s too late, let’s sleep.”
“I have a class at nine-thirty tomorrow morning. Remember to wake me up.”
“Mmm.”
Lu Tingshen and Ji Jinbai lay together. Lu Tingshen touched Ji Jinbai’s forehead and kissed his cheek.
It seemed like he couldn’t get enough, only stopping when Ji Jinbai grew impatient.
Lu Tingshen let him rest his head on his arm, gently holding him in his embrace, his hand under the covers around his waist, planting a tender kiss on his forehead.
“Good boy, sleep now.”
Burying his head in the man’s chest, breathing in his scent, and listening to the steady, strong heartbeat beneath him, the young man fell asleep with a smile on his lips.
The next morning.
Lu Tingshen woke up early, while Ji Jinbai was still tired. Glancing at the time, it was only seven.
He looked at the person under the covers, his little face flushed from sleep, and couldn’t resist pinching his cheeks a few times, eliciting a few soft murmurs.
Lu Tingshen, afraid of waking him, didn’t continue to tease him.
It was still early. He gently lifted the covers and got out of bed. After washing up, he went to the gym for half an hour, then took a quick shower. He went downstairs to prepare breakfast and left it warming in the pot.
Seeing the person in bed still asleep, he quietly got back in and held him in his arms. His movements were light, but they still woke him.
The person in his arms frowned slightly, his eyes half-open and drowsy as he yawned, “Mmm~” and then wrapped his arms around Lu Tingshen’s neck.
The covers slipped down, and Lu Tingshen glanced down, his eyes dark and restrained. He silently pulled the covers back over him.
“Did I wake you?” Lu Tingshen asked in a low, husky voice.
“Mmm.”
“Should we get up then?”
Ji Jinbai’s voice was a bit hoarse. He hugged his neck and nuzzled gently, softly whining, “No, stay in bed with me a little longer~”
Lu Tingshen looked at the little head buried in his neck and said gently, “Alright.”
Ji Jinbai touched his chest.
Satisfied, he praised, “Such a good figure, worth encouraging. Keep it up in the future.”
Lu Tingshen lifted Ji Jinbai up, letting him lie face down on top of him, his arms wrapped around his slender waist, his chin resting affectionately on Ji Jinbai’s head.
Ji Jinbai, still groggy from sleep, instinctively lifted his chin and leaned close to his neck, pecking it lightly several times.
Feeling the arm around his waist tighten, Ji Jinbai looked at Lu Tingshen with an innocent expression, resembling a mischievous little fox.
Lu Tingshen gazed at the person causing trouble on him with a dark look, holding his waist tightly. “The fire you started, my delicate darling, you’ll have to put it out yourself.”
Ji Jinbai looked up at the man, his expression slightly panicked.
“No, we can’t do it again. I still have to go to school later.”
He seemed to have grasped a lifeline.
Lu Tingshen’s dark eyes stared at him, filled with deep desire. Isn’t there another way? He hinted at him.
Another way? Ji Jinbai blushed. This old man.
Ji Jinbai was afraid he’d go for another round. He really couldn’t take it anymore.
He glared at him delicately.
Hmm, why did he burrow under the blanket?
After some time, Lu Tingshen gently picked him up and carried him to the bathroom, soothing him tenderly. “Don’t cry, my darling. Your husband will help you rinse your mouth.”
In the bathroom, Lu Tingshen brushed his teeth several times, continuously comforting him.
“It’s all your fault, wuwuwu~”
Ji Jinbai could barely speak, his voice hoarse.
“Alright, alright, it’s all your husband’s fault. Don’t cry, my delicate darling. It hurts me to see you like this.”
Ji Jinbai was utterly aggrieved, tears streaming down his face.
“You don’t really care. You weren’t so gentle earlier. I didn’t see how much you cared about me. Hmph, old man.”
Lu Tingshen guiltily touched his nose and admitted, “I meant to use another method, but who knew…”
Who knew he’d go straight for something so intense.
“What!”
Ji Jinbai was on the verge of a breakdown. What had he done? He really wanted to disappear into the ground out of embarrassment.
He glared fiercely at Lu Tingshen, his hoarse voice filled with anger.
“Why didn’t you stop me earlier?”
“I didn’t react in time.”
Ji Jinbai pounced on him like a little firecracker. The mark he had left on his neck a few days ago was almost gone, so he left another one beside it.
Lu Tingshen turned his head and saw in the mirror that he had left another strawberry mark on his neck. He looked at him with helplessness and ruffled his hair.
Lu Tingshen chuckled softly. “Still mad at me? When we get to the company, the employees will know they have a fiery boss lady.”
Hearing this, Ji Jinbai regretted leaving the mark on his neck. After all, he was the CEO of a major company, and many eyes were on him. What if someone caught wind of it?
Ji Jinbai grabbed his arm, his voice filled with worry and guilt, on the verge of tears.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have left a mark in such a visible place. Will it cause any trouble for you?”
Seeing his concern, Lu Tingshen gently reassured him.
“It’s fine, don’t worry. It won’t have much impact. The employees will just know I have a possessive partner.”
