Zhou Tong was stunned for a moment, then he suddenly stood up and chased after Lu Chen.

Dong Qingcheng, wanting to follow them, was stopped by someone beside him.

“Brother Dong, do you really think that man might be your relative? That can’t be possible.”

The man clearly looked like a country person—how could he possibly be a relative of the wealthy Dong family from the capital?

Although the man had noticed the resemblance between Lu Chen and Dong Qingcheng, the gap in their identities was just too large, so it was impossible.

Due to his hesitation, Dong Qingcheng missed the chance to catch up with Lu Chen, and he could only watch as Lu Chen and Zhou Tong disappeared from sight.

If his aunt had children, their age would likely be similar to Lu Chen’s.

He wondered what his aunt’s husband was like and how their family was doing now.

Dong Qingcheng actually didn’t have much of an impression of his aunt. When he was born, his aunt had already been abducted many years ago. He only learned of her existence from his mother’s and grandparents’ recollections and tears.

In that era, if a child was abducted, finding them again was practically impossible. But his family never gave up. They kept searching for the lost aunt for all these years. After so many years, they had no idea how many places and people they had searched through, but they had finally come here. This place was now the most likely to lead them to her.

Dong Qingcheng had lost hope after seeing how many years his family had searched for his aunt without success. He came this time only to reassure his family. He never truly believed he could find her.

After confirming that Lu Chen was training at the tractor factory, Dong Qingcheng arrived early the next morning at the factory gate.

To enter, he just needed to register, and with his military officer’s ID, he was smoothly allowed in.

The security guard, seeing him enter, quickly notified the factory leadership. When the leaders heard that someone from the military had come, they were confused but still rushed over.

After asking, they learned that Dong Qingcheng was here to find someone—Lu Chen, who was attending training at the factory.

The factory leaders initially wanted to ask him what his business with Lu Chen was. But Dong Qingcheng wasn’t going to reveal the truth, since his relationship with Lu Chen hadn’t been confirmed yet. So, he simply said he had some matters to discuss with him.

Lu Chen’s expression immediately darkened, thinking that the man was there to continue causing trouble for him and Zhou Tong. He became cautious and defensive.

The factory leader didn’t notice the change in Lu Chen’s expression. He kept urging him to speak politely to the man.

Soon, the factory leader discreetly left, leaving Lu Chen and Dong Qingcheng alone.

Once they were alone, Lu Chen silently stared at Dong Qingcheng without speaking.

His composure was impressive.

“I didn’t come to find you for any other reason, nor am I here because of yesterday’s incident. I just want you to answer the questions I asked you yesterday.”

Yesterday, he had asked about Lu Chen’s parents and where they lived, among other things.

The moment Lu Chen thought about those questions, his expression grew wary.

The man had come all this way just to ask those questions. What was his true purpose?
