The Best Actor with a Baby Who is Hated by the Entire Internet [Transmigration] Chapter 25

After leaving Lu Lihai’s study, Lu Youze forcefully dragged Lu Youxi to the dining room. The two sat face to face, one cold and expressionless, the other smiling but with a look of helplessness in his eyes.

“Let’s eat something to fill our stomachs first,” Lu Youze said as he placed some warm dishes from the table into Lu Youxi’s bowl. He smiled and continued, “I have experience—when you’re hungry, your mood gets bad, and when your mood is bad, your temper gets worse. When you’re angry, discussions often make things worse.”

Lu Youxi had a cold look on his face and was about to say something sarcastic when Uncle Lu came out of the study and interrupted him.

“Young master,” Uncle Lu glanced at Lu Youxi, then shifted his gaze to Lu Youze, his expression somewhat serious.

“Uncle Lu, how is Dad?” Lu Youze asked, concerned.

“He’s sulking alone in there,” Uncle Lu sighed. “Ah, you know how stubborn the master is. He probably won’t sleep tonight.”

As Lu Youze listened, he picked out some dishes from the table that Lu Lihai usually liked and said to Qiao Ma, who had come in behind Uncle Lu, “Qiao Ma, take these to Dad’s study.”

“He probably won’t eat,” Qiao Ma replied.

“It’s fine, just leave it there,” Lu Youze smiled at her and reassured, “I’ll go keep him company later and play chess with him.”

Since Lu Youze had said so, Qiao Ma didn’t argue further. She took the dishes and walked toward the study.

“Youxi, hurry up and finish eating, then wait for me in your room.” After Qiao Ma left, Lu Youze turned to the cold-faced Lu Youxi.

“Heh,” Lu Youxi sneered. “You’re hilarious. Why should I listen to you?”

“Lu Youxi,” Lu Youze called his name firmly, abandoning the previous pleasantries. His tone was no longer negotiable. Although this might make him disliked now, he believed that if he could resolve the root of the conflict, the future would be brighter.

Lu Youxi paused for a moment, then his expression darkened. After this whole day, he really thought Lu Youze had changed, but it seemed things were still the same as before.

And the one who was foolish to expect a change was himself.

“I’m not the same person I used to be,” Lu Youxi stood up, his face expressionless. “You can’t control me anymore. I’ll do whatever I want.”

With that, he prepared to leave.

Seeing Lu Youxi act like this, Lu Youze sighed inwardly. This behavior seemed more like the childish tantrums meant to get attention, not at all like the person described in the book.

“Youxi,” Lu Youze softened his attitude and his voice became gentler. “If you still want to act, go back to your room and wait for my news.”

Lu Youxi’s gaze shifted slightly, but he didn’t say anything and just left. Lu Youze didn’t stop him. If Lu Youxi really left out of anger, it only meant that his obsession with playing games wasn’t as deep as it seemed.

“Young master, aren’t you going to take care of the second young master?” Uncle Lu asked worriedly as he looked at Lu Youxi’s retreating back.

“Uncle Lu, please sit down. There are some things I want to ask you.” Lu Youze gestured for Uncle Lu to sit in the spot where Lu Youxi had just been. He smiled and looked at Uncle Lu, “I believe you already know what I want to ask, right?”

“Mm,” Uncle Lu nodded, instinctively trying to avoid Lu Youze’s gaze.

“Uncle Lu,” Lu Youze clasped his hands together and stared directly at Uncle Lu. “I stopped Dad because I was afraid that in his anger, he might say something irreparable, making the father-son relationship worse. But you should know that avoiding things doesn’t solve any problems.”

“Young master, I understand what you mean,” Uncle Lu hesitated in his gaze. “But…”

“Are you worried about me?” Lu Youze quickly saw through Uncle Lu’s concerns. He steadied himself and spoke with certainty, “No matter how important these forgotten things might have been, they’re forgotten. For me now, the most important things are my father and Youxi.”

Uncle Lu remained silent for a long while before speaking, “Young master, you and that Yu Li, even if you’ve forgotten, you must have seen in the entertainment news that you were once lovers. The second young master… he also likes Yu Li.”

Uncle Lu paused for a moment and carefully watched Lu Youze’s reaction. When he saw that there was no significant response, he continued, “The master knows about this and was very angry. He doesn’t care about AA’s relationship being against societal norms, but Yu Li was your boyfriend back then, and for the second young master to take him away from you was an extreme betrayal, a crazy act. The master beat the second young master for it. Since then, the relationship between the master and the second young master has been very strained.”

Hearing Lu Bo’s words, Lu Youze’s expression became even more serious than before. He had thought that at least Youxi and Yu Li’s relationship wasn’t like in the novel, but had he been wrong? If Youxi really liked Yu Li like the novel suggested, this would be a huge problem for him.

However, Lu Youze still trusted his own judgment. He always felt that Youxi’s attitude toward him was not filled with hatred and scheming like in the original story. At least the “resentment” and “discontent” he showed didn’t seem like the kind of feeling someone would have after losing their status and lover.

Perhaps there were some details that Lu Bo hadn’t mentioned.

“Lu Bo, what’s really going on between Youxi and me?” Lu Youze asked seriously, staring at Lu Bo. “Let me rephrase the question—what have I done to Youxi?”

Although Lu Youze was asking the question, his demeanor and tone were not willing to back down at all. He carried an Alpha-like aura, completely different from that of an already-pregnant Omega. Ever since his memory loss, the young master had become more approachable, but at times, his imposing manner made it seem like he was only hiding his sharpness and not actually easy to push around.

Seeing this, Lu Bo realized that if he didn’t come clean today, the young master wouldn’t let him leave. He also hadn’t expected the conflict between the second young master and the old master to escalate to this point. Even though the old master was feeling upset, his stubborn nature wouldn’t allow him to soften first. As for the second young master… sigh. Lu Bo wore a helpless expression. The second young master probably still misunderstood the old master, so it was even less likely he would soften first.

“Lu Bo,” Lu Youze continued when he saw Lu Bo still hesitating. “If you keep hiding the truth like this, the problem will only get worse. You saw what happened today. If this keeps happening, who can stand it? Lu Bo, I just want to solve the problem, not create more.”

“Young master,” Lu Bo seemed to have made up his mind and stood up. “Wait for me.”

Lu Youze nodded, and then Lu Bo left the dining room. While waiting for him to return, Lu Youze quickly finished his dinner. The dishes on the table were all made by Qiao Ma herself, and it would be such a waste to not appreciate her effort and care.

Lu Bo didn’t take too long to return. When he came back, he was carrying a large box.
