Lu Youze was woken up by pain; he felt like his head was about to explode. But fortunately, before he passed out, the pain in his abdomen, which had been tormenting him, finally disappeared.
Abdomen?
The child!
The memories before he fainted rushed back to him. He remembered them saying that he was carrying a “wild seed” in his belly.
He looked down at his stomach, which didn’t seem like a pregnant woman’s. This eased him a bit. But how could a man give birth to a child? On the other hand, considering that his soul had entered someone else’s body, having a child in his belly didn’t seem as shocking as it would have before.
But the idea of giving birth was still too terrifying. He might never accept it in his life.
Fortunately, there was no one else in the room, and his phone was casually placed on the bedside table. It seemed no one would disturb him for a while to process this sudden “change.” He grabbed the phone from the table, unlocked it with his fingerprint, and opened the camera. He saw his original face.
Seeing his face, Lu Youze couldn’t help but let out a mocking smile. This was truly a coincidence—his body’s owner not only shared the same name as him, but also had the same appearance and profession.
Thank God, at least he wouldn’t have trouble recognizing his face when he looked in the mirror every day.
But soon, Lu Youze discovered an even worse situation: it seemed he didn’t have any of the original memories of this body.
The only thing he knew about his new identity was that he had an ex-boyfriend named Yu Li, who was a top celebrity. It seemed he had given Yu Li a scandalous reputation, and it had been verified, so his current reputation was in shambles.
What was even more disturbing to Lu Youze was that, as a man, he was pregnant, and because of his lack of memories, he didn’t even know who the father of the child was.
It surely wasn’t Yu Li’s, otherwise, he wouldn’t be in such a situation.
From the limited information available, this Lu Youze certainly seemed like a scumbag.
However… he had a strange intuition that things were not as simple as they appeared. Yu Li didn’t seem as easy to bully as he looked. He wasn’t trying to find excuses for the original, but rather was making this inference based on some of Yu Li’s reactions today. As an excellent actor, he always trusted his instincts.
On stage, Yu Li’s words seemed to be defending him, but in reality, each sentence stirred up fans’ emotions and intensified the conflict between the audience and Lu Youze.
Yu Li, Yu Li!
Lu Youze kept repeating this name. He was sure there was no such person in his original world, but somehow, the name felt eerily familiar, as if he had heard or seen it before.
But why would he have such a feeling when he had no memory of the original owner?
Half-lying on the bed, Lu Youze repeated the name several times, and then some old memories surfaced. He finally understood why the name Yu Li felt so familiar.
Wasn’t Yu Li the name of the male protagonist in that novel that had been trending on the internet, created by his fans?
Speaking of that novel, Lu Youze couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the same time.
It was a fanfiction about him, and the author was originally his fan. However, at that time, he had been involved in some gossip with the female lead due to the promotion of a new drama. In truth, Lu Youze wasn’t fond of such promotional tactics, but the female lead kept using this method to market herself. Even for the sake of the drama, he didn’t want to put an end to it, as he still had to give her some face.
After all, there were CP fans, and a little “ambiguity” was also a form of promotion, part of his “job” that he had to cooperate with.
But some overzealous fans couldn’t understand, especially the extreme female fans who had some sort of fantasy about him. The author of this novel was one of them. Due to these rumors, the author unfollowed him and even spent a lot of time and effort writing a malicious novel about him.
At that time, Lu Youze was extremely popular. The phrase “the more famous you are, the more controversy you face” was especially true in his industry. He had just as many loyal fans as he had haters. So, under the clicks and recommendations of these haters, the novel became a hit, which naturally caused strong dissatisfaction among his fans, leading to a fan war that escalated and even trended online.
The situation got worse, and even some influencers got involved, stirring up the chaos. Eventually, the company had to step in to resolve the issue.
Out of curiosity and to understand the situation better, Lu Youze decided to read the novel.
It was an ABO-themed novel that shocked him. As expected, the author’s imagination was boundless. In the novel, Lu Youze was simply a cannon fodder character, written out of the author’s desire for revenge. In the story, Lu Youze was a company president and a young film emperor, wealthy, powerful, and honored, seemingly with an endless future. But he was obsessed with the male protagonist, Yu Li, to the point of madness, willing to do anything for him. In reality, Yu Li already had someone he loved—Lu Youze’s younger brother, Lu Youxi. Yu Li agreed to date Lu Youze not because of love, but for his connections in the entertainment industry and to help Lu Youxi regain the position of president that Lu Youze had taken from him by unscrupulous means.
The story continued with Lu Youze losing everything, as orchestrated by Yu Li and Lu Youxi.
Betrayed by family and lover, he was left with nothing.
After learning the truth, Lu Youze couldn’t handle the shock and went to a bar to drink, not knowing that everything was part of his own plot. Yu Li had bribed the bar staff, drugged Lu Youze’s drink, and had him taken to a hotel. There, Lu Youze went into heat and slept with a stranger, who, under Yu Li’s orders, marked him and successfully impregnated him.
The next day, when Lu Youze discovered he was pregnant, the media exploded with news about it, complete with photos of the man taking him to a hotel. But that wasn’t the worst part… Yu Li delivered the final blow. He staged a suicide drama, claiming it was due to the heartbreak of his lover’s infidelity. The public quickly turned against Lu Youze, and as a film emperor, he was reduced to a pariah.
In the novel, Lu Youze’s character was pitiful—he was a president and a film emperor, a darling of the heavens, but ultimately became a backup option, betrayed by both his family and his lover. Eventually, disheartened, he chose to commit suicide.
Lu Youze wasn’t sure how he managed to finish reading the novel, but when he did, he only had one thought: the author truly hated him. To get back at him, the author didn’t care about any logic.
The whole incident got so out of hand that the author had no choice but to delete the novel and apologize.
As a public figure, Lu Youze couldn’t hold a grudge against a fan, so he didn’t pursue the matter further and graciously forgave the author. Now, looking back, if he had known he would end up in this novel, he should have said something nice to get the author to write a better ending for him.
