The Billionaire’s Blind Bride Chapter 119

Chapter 119 : Mother and Daughter Reunited

Mu Qianqian, feeling shy, mustered up her courage and gave a quick peck on Mr.’s lips before pulling away immediately.

She kept her head lowered, her ears turning a deep red.

Fu Sichan’s eyes flickered with deep meaning.

The fleeting touch of her lips was brief, but the lingering sweet scent stayed with him.

Such a short, fleeting kiss made him somewhat addicted.

“Is this… this okay now?”

Mu Qianqian tugged at her clothes, her voice soft and hesitant.

Fu Sichan’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he gave a quiet, noncommittal “Mm.”

He remarked meaningfully, “This gift is not bad.”

The comment made Mu Qianqian blush even more, feeling utterly embarrassed.

She sat back in her seat, pulling her fluffy yarn hat over her head and pouting in annoyance.

Mr. was so naughty!

When the plane landed, Mu Qianqian was sound asleep.

Her cheeks were rosy, and her dark lashes fanned out like small fans, looking as beautiful as a doll.

As the flight attendants were about to wake her, Fu Sichan stopped them with a glance.

He draped his coat over Mu Qianqian, picked her up in a horizontal carry, and carried her off the plane.

Back in the country, Lu Yunbei called several times, wanting to meet with Mu Qianqian.

“Mr. Lu Yunbei invited me to the Lu family home. Since I look a lot like his sister, he wants me to meet Madam Lu to ease her longing for her daughter.”

Mu Qianqian was worried Mr. wouldn’t agree, as he had a poor impression of Lu Shao.

However, Fu Sichan now knew that Lu Yunbei’s interest in her wasn’t romantic but because Mu Qianqian was the daughter of the Lu family.

“You can go.”

Mu Qianqian’s face brightened with a smile. “Really?”

“But not right now.”

“Why not?” Mu Qianqian asked, puzzled.

“Wait until your period is over, it’s cold outside.”

The weather in Bei Cityi was freezing and snow was expected soon.

If it weren’t for Mu Qianqian wanting to return to Bei City, Fu Sichan had originally planned to celebrate the New Year abroad before coming back.

Mu Qianqian waited and waited until her period was finally over.

Mr. asked Aunt Liu to make a bowl of ginger soup for her and watched as she drank it.

“Wear more clothes.”

Mu Qianqian couldn’t help but laugh and cry. “Mr. I’m almost turning into a penguin.”

She was bundled up in a large down coat, wrapped in a scarf, and wearing a pink knitted hat.

She looked just like a penguin from the Antarctic.

Fu Sichan examined her seriously for a moment before curving his lips into a smile.

“Not like a penguin, more like a little potato.”

Mu Qianqian immediately stomped her foot in frustration.

“Mr. if you keep saying that, I’ll be really mad!”

She pushed Fu Sichan’s arm, but her soft, ineffectual strength didn’t make much of an impression on him.

Fu Sichan grabbed the back of her neck, making it impossible for her to move.

She could only flail her fists in the air.

After all, she was petite and dressed so warmly that her movement was restricted.

Mu Qianqian’s face turned red with anger.

Fu Sichan touched her face with the back of his hand, “You’re warming up a bit. Let’s go downstairs.”

Mu Qianqian snorted from her nose.

“Hmph.”

But her voice was so soft and childish that it lacked any real menace.

Instead, it made Fu Sichan’s heart itch, and he was reluctant to let her go.

“Come back early.”

He was worried about his little girl staying overnight at someone else’s home.

Even if it was her own brother.

Lu Yunbei’s car was parked downstairs in the residential area.

As Mu Qianqian got into the car, she heard him accidentally laughing.

“Lu Yunbei, are you laughing at me?”

Lu Yunbei cleared his throat, “Ahem, no, why would I laugh at you?”

He didn’t realize that this statement only made things worse.

Mu Qianqian felt extremely frustrated.

She had become a little potato, and now everyone was laughing at her wherever she went.

The car had the heating turned up high, so Mu Qianqian took off her scarf and hat, as well as her coat.

“Lu Yunbei, is there anything I should pay attention to when I meet Madam Lu later?”

“You don’t need to worry about anything, just be yourself.”

With this reassurance, Mu Qianqian felt more at ease.

Meanwhile, in the Lu family villa.

Madam Lu kept peering outside, “Where is Yaoyao? Why hasn’t she arrived yet? Yunbei really, how come he hasn’t managed to get his sister here after so many days?”

Lu Feng tried to comfort her, “Don’t worry, it’s snowing outside, so they’re driving slowly. They’ll be here soon.”

“If I had known the weather would be bad today, I would have had Yaoyao come tomorrow instead. I hope the child doesn’t catch a cold.”

Lu Feng joked, “Come tomorrow? Then you’d just be anxious for another day.”

Madam Lu had been eager to meet Mu Qianqian in person, but unfortunately, when Mu Qianqian returned from abroad, Madam Lu had been in the hospital.

So, Madam Lu had been longing for her daughter day and night.

Now that the meeting was finally happening, how could she not be excited?

The housekeeper came in to report.

“Sir, Madam, the young master has returned.”

“Yaoyao is here.” Madam Lu stood up excitedly.

She barely paid attention to her own son, her mind focused entirely on her poor little daughter.

Finally, Lu Yunbei walked in with a round, potato-like figure.

Upon closer inspection, it wasn’t a potato at all.

Clearly a girl carved from jade, though dressed in such round, puffy clothing that she looked all the more adorably naive.

As soon as Madam Lu saw her, her eyes filled with tears.

She clutched her chest, “Yaoyao… my precious daughter…”

Mu Qianqian hadn’t quite processed it yet when she was enveloped in a warm embrace.

“My good daughter, you’ve suffered… I’ve waited so many years for you, and now you’re finally back.”

The warmth of the woman’s embrace was so comforting and filled with a sense of attachment.

Mu Qianqian couldn’t help but lift her arms and return the hug.

So this is what a mother’s hug feels like…

Though she knew this maternal affection didn’t truly belong to her, Mu Qianqian still found herself sinking into the warmth.

“Let me see, my dear, how much hardship have you endured all these years? How have they treated you?”

Madam Lu’s tears flowed as she cupped Mu Qianqian’s face, examining her closely.

The girl looked almost exactly like she did when she was young, with those sparkling almond eyes being the most similar.

Seeing Mu Qianqian’s vacant eyes, Madam Lu nearly fainted from grief.

Her Yaoyao was so kind and understanding!

Why did fate have to be so cruel to her?

“Yaoyao, don’t be afraid. I will definitely cure your eyes. Even if it means giving up everything, I will make sure you see the light again.”

Mu Qianqian’s nose tingled, and she cried softly in her embrace.

She unconsciously whispered, “Mom…”

If only she really had such a wonderful mother.

That “Mom” was very soft, but it was still heard by Madam Lu.

She trembled all over, her joy nearly spilling from her eyes.

“Yaoyao, what did you just call me? What did you say just now?”

Mu Qianqian smiled awkwardly.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say it.”

“There’s no need to apologize. Yaoyao, can you call me ‘Mom’ again? Just once more! Let me hear your voice again.”
