The Billionaire’s Blind Bride
The Billionaire’s Blind Bride Chapter 197

Chapter 197 : Crime

The student who had set the trap was brought to the principal’s office.

At first, he was a bit flustered, but he quickly regained his composure and began to make excuses for himself.

“I didn’t mean to! I just wanted to play a joke on her. Yes, just a joke!”

“I only locked her in the classroom for a little while. What could happen?”

“I was planning to let her out soon, who knew she would overreact and break all the windows?”

Several teachers listening to him turned pale with anger.

“A joke? The surveillance footage shows that you locked the classroom and then went to the cafeteria to eat, before heading back to the boys’ dormitory.”

“You never intended to let her out immediately! You wanted her to be locked in the classroom all night?”

This student’s name was Pang Chunzhu. His eyes were no larger than mung beans, darting around in a lewd manner.

Pang Chunzhu shrugged indifferently. “Teachers, I just forgot, okay? It’s my bad memory.”

“Locking her in for just a little while, what could possibly happen? She’s fine now, isn’t she?”

The teachers glanced warily at the rest area inside, knowing that the people in there were listening to their conversation.

This situation was serious; it had almost harmed that child! How could they let this slide?

If the student admitted his mistake, they might plead for him.

But since he was being so stubborn and showed no remorse, even the teachers who wanted to help felt powerless!

“Pang Chunzhu, I’ll ask you one more time, who told you to do this? If you name the person behind it, we can go easier on you.”

A strange flicker crossed Pang Chunzhu’s eyes.

He smiled ingratiatingly. “Teachers, I can compensate for the broken windows. Since she’s okay, I’ll just head back now.”

“You should be the one paying! If you hadn’t set this up to trap your classmate, how would the windows have been broken?”

“I really was just playing a joke. Has she become so delicate since she came from a wealthy family that she can’t take a joke anymore?”

One of the pregnant teachers turned pale with anger.

As someone about to become a mother, she could deeply empathize with Lu Yunyao’s helplessness and fear at that moment.

This student was utterly detestable!

He had nearly harmed a small life yet felt no guilt at all, calling him a beast would be an understatement!

“You didn’t even know Lu Yunyao before. Why would you want to harm her and her unborn child?”

Pang Chunzhu’s eyes darted around.

He knew very well that Lu Yunyao was pregnant.

If he hadn’t known, he wouldn’t have resorted to such a method against her.

But this matter couldn’t be publicly discussed.

Pang Chunzhu said sarcastically, “Teachers, how was I supposed to know she was pregnant? Who would have thought we had such a self-destructive student in our school who got pregnant while still studying?”

One teacher raised their voice angrily, “Were your parents also self-destructive when they had you?”

Pang Chunzhu was momentarily speechless.

Everyone is born from their parents, right?

Those two were a legal couple, getting pregnant didn’t make them self-destructive! What kind of logic was that?

“Pang Chunzhu, you might not realize how serious this is. The surveillance footage recorded everything—locking the classroom windows, tricking Lu Yunyao into the classroom, and then locking her in. It’s all clear as day!”

“If you still refuse to repent and deny your wrongdoing, we will have no choice but to turn you over to the police!”

Pang Chunzhu’s face flickered with panic for a moment.

But thinking of that beautiful figure, he felt that he was charging forward for love, that it was a noble act!

One teacher, feeling sympathy, earnestly advised, “Pang Chunzhu, I’ve heard your family isn’t well-off and that you come from a single-parent household. You may not care about yourself, but you should think about your mother. Do you really want her to be all alone, watching her only son be sent to prison?”

Pang Chunzhu thought of his mother’s frail figure and the few strands of white hair at her temples.

He knew he should admit his mistake and name the person behind it to minimize his punishment.

But he couldn’t!

That person was the woman he loved most in his life, the only one he loved, and he could never betray her!

So he could only apologize to his mother.

In that moment, Pang Chunzhu felt like a great romantic hero.

If she knew about his choice, she would surely be deeply moved and fall in love with him.

Pang Chunzhu held his head high and proudly declared:

“Teachers, there’s no need to persuade me further, this was all my own decision from start to finish. I just can’t stand Lu Yunyao, and I think she’s self-destructive, so I gave her a little punishment.”

“No matter how the school handles me, I have no objections. A man should bear the consequences of his actions!”

His words rang with conviction.

In his own eyes, he was a person of deep feelings and loyalty.

In others’ eyes, he was just a stubborn fool who couldn’t recognize the gravity of the situation.

Several teachers, initially willing to help him, felt disheartened upon seeing his attitude.

Forget it, he seemed destined to suffer, so let him face the consequences.

Who told him to bring this upon himself?

“Pang Chunzhu, you can go for now. Someone will inform you of the final decision tomorrow morning.”

Pang Chunzhu walked out of the principal’s office with his head held high, feeling proud.

He quickly messaged his goddess “Senior, don’t worry. I’ll take full responsibility for this, it won’t implicate you. You will always be the pure goddess in my heart.”

After sending the message, he received a red exclamation mark.

“You are no longer friends with this person, please add them again.”

In the back room, the principal and several key leaders were sweating nervously.

Their gazes all turned to the young, distinguished man on the sofa.

This was a guest of honor from a prestigious finance university! Several buildings, libraries, and sports fields on campus had been donated by the Fu Group.

Could they not show respect?

“Mr. Fu, you heard the conversation just now. What do you think we should do about this Pang Chunzhu?”

Fu Sihan parted his thin lips and coldly uttered a few words:

“Intentional murder.”

Those four words carried significant weight.

The principal and the school leaders felt a chill run down their spines.

“Mr. Fu, isn’t that charge a bit…” too heavy?

Meeting Fu Sihan’s frostbitten gaze, the one who spoke felt an overwhelming fear and didn’t dare to continue.

Is the charge of intentional murder too severe?

What if this person harmed his wife or his child?

Did he still think the charge was too much?

Since the incident hadn’t happened to him, he had no right to make reckless comments.
