The Billionaire’s Blind Bride Chapter 22

Chapter 22 : Quarrel

Mu Qianqian didn’t remember how she ran back to the guest room. She only recalled that her mind went blank and she was completely stunned.

Then, a rush of blood surged to her head, making her face feel incredibly hot.

Mu Qianqian dashed back to the guest room, slamming the door shut with a “bang.”

Fu Sichan looked at the door to the guest room, his expression inscrutable.

He had deliberately said that to make her react like this, hoping she would hide away on her own.

To avoid… doing something irrational under the influence of alcohol.

Fu Sichan had always been confident in his self-control, but that was in the presence of other women.

In front of this little blind girl, his self-restraint seemed to vanish.

Even Fu Sichan himself found it incredible.

Mu Qianqian hid in the guest room, covering her burning cheeks, her heart pounding wildly.

She leaned against the door, heard that Mr. enter the bathroom. After a while, the sound of running water stopped, and his footsteps came out of the bathroom and returned to the master bedroom.

It wasn’t until she heard the door to the master bedroom close that Mu Qianqian finally relaxed, took off her shoes, and got into bed.

She pulled the covers over her head, the surroundings eerily quiet except for her frantic heartbeat and rapid breathing.

Was Mr. really such an unattractive man?

But why did she feel… that he was so charming?

Mu Qianqian had been confessed to by boys before, but she had never felt the sensation of a racing heart. It always seemed to be missing something.

Even though she didn’t know what Mr. looked like, she couldn’t help but have her heart race for him.

Could it be that Mr. was simply too charming?

Perhaps, even if Mr. looked unattractive, he was really good at flirting?

As she thought about this, Mu Qianqian felt a pang of sourness in her heart.

Bad Mr. so good at flirting, how many young girls has he flirted with? Hmph!

The next morning, during breakfast, Mu Qianqian deliberately avoided Fu Sichan’s gaze.

“Planning to hide under the table while eating?” Fu Sichan’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at her with suspicion.

Mu Qianqian straightened up with a jolt, “No, I’m not.”

She still didn’t dare to look up and stared rigidly at the dining table.

“Is this bowl of porridge so attractive?” Fu Sichan frowned slightly, tapping his long fingers twice on the table. “Why won’t you even lift your head?”

Mu Qianqian was still feeling awkward about what she had been thinking before bed last night and was sulking a bit.

But then she realized there was no need to be like this.

After all, Mr. was much older than she was, and it was normal for him to have a wealth of emotional experience.

She was just torturing herself over it alone. Mr. couldn’t read minds and didn’t know her true thoughts. Wasn’t she just making things worse for herself?

But while her rational mind could understand this, it couldn’t control her heart.

Mu Qianqian still felt a pang of bitterness, feeling uncomfortable all over.

“I’m going to class.”

Mu Qianqian hadn’t eaten much and stood up, preparing to leave for class.

Fu Sichan grabbed her slender wrist, his voice cold and serious, “What’s wrong?”

Mu Qianqian kept her head down, “Nothing.”

“Nothing? Then why are you acting like this?”

Mu Qianqian deliberately kept a sulky expression, “I’m going to class now. Please let go of me.”

Fu Sichan could see through her obvious sulking, he wasn’t a fool.

He couldn’t understand why this young girl was so worked up in the morning, daring to show him such a face.

Fu Sichan had never been treated so coldly before and couldn’t help but laugh in anger. “You’re getting all worked up, and you think I’m blind like you, unable to see what’s going on?”

Mu Qianqian’s heart ached, and a wave of indescribable grievance surged up.

Her voice trembled, thick with nasal tones, “If I’m blind, then you should find someone with a good temper and good eyesight to be your wife.”

Fu Sichan was taken aback, then his face turned cold, as if covered by a layer of frost.

His thin lips pressed together, his eyes fierce and frightening. “Mu Qianqian, do you know what you’re saying?”

He tightened his grip on her wrist, the pressure so intense it felt like he was trying to crush it.

Mu Qianqian, already feeling upset, was further distressed by his strong grip.

The pain in her wrist made her emotions burst forth like a flood breaking through a dam.

She bit her lip, tears streaming down her cheeks, “Mr. you’re disgusted by me being your wife, aren’t you?”

Otherwise, why would he be so harsh with her, as if he wanted to devour her?

Mu Qianqian had no experience with love and was completely inexperienced in matters of the heart, so she hadn’t realized yet that she had quietly developed feelings for him.

When faced with someone they like, people often can’t help but fall into self-doubt.

“When have I ever complained about you?” Fu Sichan’s eyebrows were tightly knitted.

“I know, my eyesight isn’t good, and my family background isn’t great. I can’t compare to your ex-girlfriends,” Mu Qianqian said through her tears.

Ex-girlfriends? And “girlfriends” in the plural?

He had always maintained his self-discipline, having been a monk for nearly thirty years. When did he have any ex-girlfriends?

Even if the little blind girl was throwing mud at him, she shouldn’t be so unreasonable.

Fu Sichan, angered, sneered coldly, emphasizing each word, “When have you seen me with any ex-girlfriends? Mu Qianqian, explain yourself clearly.”

“Don’t you have any?”

“None, never. You’re the first.”

Mu Qianqian wiped her tears, her eyes red, and pouted. “I don’t believe it.”

Mr. must be lying to her.

How could a man his age have never been in a relationship?

If he really had never been in a relationship, how could he be so skilled at flirting?

“Why don’t you believe it?”

“Because, because you’re already twenty-nine.”

As long as she wasn’t a fool, she wouldn’t believe that a twenty-nine-year-old man had never been in a relationship.

In fact… he might have had sexual experiences already.

Even though she knew it was normal for her husband to have exes, it still made her uncomfortable, and the more she thought about it, the worse she felt.

“Oh? Do you think I’m too old?” Fu Sichan was stunned.

He then realized that the young girl was actually feeling jealous.

Mu Qianqian’s nose was red from crying, looking pitiful, “I’m not.”

“Mr. don’t change the subject.”

Fu Sichan took a deep breath, his voice low and cold, “Don’t forget, your husband is an unattractive man. Where else would I find someone else? Only you, this little blind girl, would tolerate your ugly husband.”

“I’ve never been involved with any woman before, and I won’t in the future.”

“Mu Qianqian, don’t ever say again that I should find someone else. Understand?”

The last sentence was spoken with particularly heavy tones, clearly striking a blow to Fu Sichan’s pride.

Fu Sichan wasn’t overly concerned about Mu Qianqian rather, since they were already married, they needed to make an effort to adjust and solve problems actively instead of avoiding them.

Being older and more experienced, while the young girl was sensitive and prone to overthinking.

When issues arise, he should be more accommodating toward his wife, it’s not shameful.

Upon hearing these words, Mu Qianqian’s earlier bitterness vanished, replaced by a deep sense of joy and sweetness, as if she were immersed in a jar of honey.

She offered a gentle smile and proactively apologized, “Mr., I understand my mistake. I won’t say such things again in the future.”
