Chapter 25 : Mr. hugs Qianqian
Fu Sichan picked up Mu Qianqian horizontally and walked past them coldly, not even sparing them a glance.
“Mr. Fu, please give us a chance to live. We won’t dare to bully your people again. We were just momentarily confused!”
“Mr. Fu, we only wanted to play a joke on her, we didn’t mean to really hurt her. Please, have mercy and show some leniency…”
Sha Pu, in utter despair, knelt on the ground with a face as pale as death.
It’s over. Everything is ruined now.
From the beginning, he shouldn’t have targeted Mu Qianqian. If he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have been expelled from school and would not have provoked the formidable Fu Sichan.
How could he explain this to his father?
If the Sha family goes bankrupt because of the Fu family, his father would probably break his legs or punish him severely. With no money and being expelled from Bei City, he would never return to his former life of luxury.
It’s all Lu Yunxiang’s fault. If it weren’t for her instigation, he wouldn’t have ended up in this situation.
Sha Pu dared not hate Fu Sichan, so he placed all the blame and anger on Lu Yunxiang.
—
Mu Qianqian woke up after a while.
Her palms were itching, and she instinctively reached to scratch them. She heard a voice beside her say, “Don’t move.”
Mu Qianqian blinked in confusion and turned her head to look.
Even with the vague shape, she could tell who it was.
“Mr.” Mu Qianqian called him with a soft voice, her tone nasal.
“Don’t move. I’m disinfecting your wounds. It will sting a bit.”
Fu Sichan held her hand, using an iodine swab to clean the wounds on her palm, then applied medication and carefully bandaged it.
He was not a man of many words, and at the moment, he remained silent, focused on tending to her injuries.
Mu Qianqian didn’t interrupt, blinking her long eyelashes and lying quietly on the sofa.
The living room fell into silence.
Mu Qianqian stared at him intently, somewhat lost in thought. She couldn’t help but raise her other hand to touch his face.
Just as her fingertips were about to touch him, he turned his head to avoid her.
Fu Sichan raised an eyebrow and asked, “What are you doing?”
“Nothing,” Mu Qianqian said quietly, looking down.
She had inexplicably wanted to see what Mr. looked like, so she had reached out without thinking.
But he had avoided her touch.
Mu Qianqian felt a trace of disappointment in her heart.
Fu Sichan finished treating the wounds on both her hands, looked up at her, and asked softly, “Does it hurt?”
Mu Qianqian snapped out of her daze and shook her head, “It doesn’t hurt.”
“Keep the wound dry. At night, you should either use plastic wrap while showering or… have Aunt Liu come help you?”
Mu Qianqian declined, “No need, I can wash myself.”
She wasn’t comfortable with someone else being present during such a private moment.
Fu Sichan responded with a soft “mm,” then added, “I’ll take you to the hospital for a check-up tomorrow.”
“Huh? Why?”
It wasn’t time for a follow-up yet.
“You cried a lot today. Increased eye pressure isn’t good for your recovery.”
Mu Qianqian was a bit reluctant, biting her lower lip as she quietly argued, “I didn’t cry that much. It shouldn’t have too much impact.”
Fu Sichan smirked, “Not much? My jacket is still wet from your tears.”
The little girl had leaned against his chest and soaked his jacket with her tears, yet she said she didn’t cry that much.
Mu Qianqian’s cheeks turned slightly red with embarrassment. She mumbled, “Then, I’ll… I’ll help you with the laundry.”
“You don’t need to, just… rest well.”
Fu Sichan had originally intended to say “little blind girl,” but remembering that Mu Qianqian was sensitive about those words, he stopped himself before they left his mouth.
Mu Qianqian sat up from the sofa, folded the summer quilt, and placed it in the corner of the sofa.
As she was about to head to the bathroom, a sudden thought struck her.
How did she get upstairs after fainting from crying?
Before losing consciousness, she had been leaning against Mr. Fu, so…
Realizing this possibility, Mu Qianqian froze and asked without thinking, “Mr, did you carry me upstairs?”
Fu Sichan admitted calmly, “Yes. Otherwise?”
Upon hearing this, Mu Qianqian’s clear eyes widened gradually, her mouth slightly opened, and her cheeks flushed redder and redder.
The little girl blinked in a flurry, embarrassed as if she wanted to find a hole to hide in.
Her reaction was so strong that Fu Sichan felt compelled to remind her, “Mu Qianqian, I’m your husband.”
Is it so unusual for a wife, who’s already been married, to be carried?
Mu Qianqian’s voice was soft and hesitant, “Mm… I know, I’m just not used to it yet.”
She didn’t say he wasn’t her husband.
It was just that she had never had physical contact with a man before, so she was a bit unaccustomed.
Fu Sichan gazed at her with deep eyes, his tone firm and unyielding, “In the future, you’ll have to get used to it slowly.”
Mu Qianqian puffed up her cheeks and quickly responded with a soft “Mm.”
She shyly ran into the guest bedroom and slammed the door behind her.
If Fu Sichan didn’t have sharp hearing, he wouldn’t have even caught her quiet “Mm.”
A pleased smile curved at the corners of his mouth.
He hadn’t realized before how entertaining it was to tease her.
The little girl was so naive and cute, like a clumsy little bunny, making one want to tease her even more.
The next day, Mu Qianqian asked Fang Yanran to help her with a leave of absence.
“Yanran, I need to go to the hospital for a follow eye check-up today. Could you please help me ask the teacher for leave? I’m afraid the teacher will call my name.”
“Sure, is your eye alright? When will you be back?”
“I’m fine. I’ll come back as soon as the check-up is over. Thank you, Yanran.”
After ending the voice call, Mu Qianqian heard a notification from her phone, “An emergency contact has sent you a text message. The content is as follows, I have an urgent matter and can’t go to your school. I’ve asked my assistant to pick you up at the east gate.”
Her only emergency contact in her phone was Mr. Fu, who had set it up for her when he bought the phone.
Yesterday, Mu Qianqian had put her phone on silent during class, so she hadn’t heard this message.
It turned out to be a big mix-up.
If she had received the message earlier, she would have waited at the east gate and avoided the later issues.
Fu Sichan had gone to the company for work, so today, Assistant Wang was driving Mu Qianqian to the hospital.
On the way, Assistant Wang explained to her, “Miss Mu, we can’t park at the gate you usually use, so I had to wait for you at the east gate.”
Mu Qianqian nodded, “Okay, I understand. I’ll wait at the east gate next time.”
When they arrived at the hospital, Mu Qianqian underwent a series of detailed full-body checks.
Fu Sichan arrived at the hospital in a hurry after finishing his work. “How did it go?”
Mu Qianqian was lying on the hospital bed receiving an IV drip. “Mr. Fu, don’t worry. The doctor said I’m fine.”
“Really?”
“Of course it’s true. Why would I lie to you?”
Fu Sichan didn’t even realize he had sighed in relief himself. “The people who harmed you will never appear in front of you again.”
Mu Qianqian was taken aback, and her first reaction wasn’t to think about Sha Pu but to realize that Mr. Fu had not been with her in the morning because he had been handling this matter.
