The Billionaire’s Blind Bride
The Billionaire’s Blind Bride Chapter 35

Chapter 35 : Ungrateful Wolf

Mu Qianqian’s face flushed bright red, and she quickly pulled away from his embrace.

She protested, “It’s all because I learned from you.”

“From me?”

Mu Qianqian huffed softly, “Sichan, if you dare to be mean to me again, I’ll… I’ll run away and not be your wife anymore.”

The little girl didn’t realize how soft and endearing her voice sounded.

Hearing her call his name so sweetly was like a lover’s whisper, making Fu Sichan’s throat tighten with the impulse to pull her back into his arms.

Fu Sichan’s gaze grew dark, and he coldly threatened, “If you call my name again, don’t think you’ll be going back tonight.”

“Then where will I sleep?”

Fu Sichan’s eyes were filled with a predatory glint, each word heavily emphasized, “What do you think?”

Though the master bedroom was spacious, it only had one bed.

If Mu Qianqian stayed, she would have to share the bed with him.

Realizing this, Mu Qianqian’s cheeks burned intensely, “You, you’re so shameless.”

Her voice was as soft as a whisper, lacking any real intimidation.

It was like a kitten showing its soft paw, trying to scare someone but only making them find it unbearably adorable.

This little crybaby probably didn’t know how enticing her current look was to a man.

Fu Sichan feared that if things continued, the fire within him might harm her.

He took Mu Qianqian’s hand, “Let’s go.”

“Where to?”

“To rinse your fingers with cold water, to prevent burns.”

Mu Qianqian quietly allowed him to lead her.

His large, rough hand enveloped hers completely, protecting her as if to shield her from all external dangers.

Every time she held his hand, she felt a deep sense of security and comfort.

After taking a few steps, she innocently said, “Mr. your hand is so warm.”

Fu Sichan’s face darkened, “Don’t worry about unnecessary things.”

“Okay.”

He led Mu Qianqian to the sink and rinsed her fingers with cold water.

Still not reassured, he advised her like a concerned father, “Don’t touch hot things in the future, remember?”

Mu Qianqian pouted, “Mr. you’ve said that so many times already. I’ve remembered it.”

She wasn’t stupid, how could she forget something after hearing it so many times?

Why was Mr. even more nagging than an old grandmother?

If it were anyone else, they would have been thrown out for speaking like this in front of Fu Sichan.

Only this little girl, who didn’t know his status, dared to speak back to him so boldly.

Fu Sichan sighed helplessly inwardly.

After washing her hands, Mu Qianqian went back to the guest room and locked the door behind her.

Hearing the sound of her locking the door, Fu Sichan couldn’t help but laugh in frustration.

In her eyes, was he such a lecherous person that she felt the need to lock the door? Did she not trust him at all?

It was absurd, considering how well he treated her.

The little girl was behaving like an ungrateful wolf cub.

However, Fu Sichan realized he had misunderstood her.

Mu Qianqian locked her door at night purely out of a lack of security from her past experiences. After finally having her own room, she naturally wanted to protect her own space and prevent anyone from intruding.

That day, Mu Qianqian didn’t have any classes and went to work at Yun Cheng Hotel. Her positions included being a receptionist and a gallery guide.

Yun Cheng Hotel was located in the city center, where land was extremely valuable, covering a large area. The hotel was resplendent with golden decorations, exuding opulence. Inside, it housed the largest gallery in the city, showcasing famous ancient paintings and rare antiques.

Many business owners are interested in the collection here and choose to discuss collaborations specifically at Yun Cheng Hotel.

“Mu Qianqian, right? I’ll have someone show you around the gallery soon. Each item’s location and number are fixed, so you just need to remember the numbers and the stories behind them.”

Mu Qianqian nodded, “Got it.”

“You should go change into your uniform,” the person in charge said, handing her a set of professional attire.

The person in charge was a woman in her thirties with a very pleasant round face and a friendly demeanor.

“Alright, thank you.”

Mu Qianqian went to the changing room and emerged in her new outfit.

She had looked like a simple and clean college student earlier, but now, dressed in a professional suit, she appeared more mature and intellectual.

The person in charge led Mu Qianqian to the gallery and explained the location and background of each piece in detail.

Mu Qianqian had an excellent memory, after just one round of listening, she remembered everything.

The round-faced supervisor was surprised, “You remembered so quickly? No wonder you’re a top student from the Finance University.”

Mu Qianqian smiled shyly, “You flatter me. I’m not that remarkable.”

“Explain it to me as if I were a guest.”

“Sure.”

Walking through the magnificent gallery, Mu Qianqian’s voice was soft and pleasant, her attitude graceful as she detailed the history of each exhibit.

The supervisor beamed with satisfaction and clapped, “Very good. There were no mistakes. You don’t need any more training, you can start working today.”

“Thank you, Senior.”

“There’s no need to be so formal. My surname is Li, you can just call me ‘Sister Li.’”

“Sister Li, I’ll rely on you in the future.”

Mu Qianqian stood at the entrance, greeting guests and guiding them to the gallery, where she confidently introduced all the exhibits.

This group of guests was a bit special—several suit-clad executives surrounded a young, tall man in the center.

That man’s figure… seemed somewhat familiar?

One of the executives was about to call out “President Fu,” but was immediately silenced by a sharp glance from Fu Sichan.

He quickly swallowed the rest of his words.

Mu Qianqian stared at the man in the middle, not immediately approaching.

“What’s going on? Why are you just standing there?” an executive with a square face and a scowl shouted.

Mu Qianqian hurried over, “I’m sorry. I’m the greeter here. I’ll take you to the gallery for a rest.”

The square-faced boss gave her a disdainful look, “Where did you find this uncouth girl? She has no professional demeanor or manners.”

“Do you know who we’re hosting today? Such a prestigious and luxurious place like Yun Cheng Hotel shouldn’t be brought down by someone like you.”

“I’ll report this to the person in charge and have you replaced immediately.”

Mu Qianqian was scolded until she couldn’t lift her head and was on the verge of tears.

The man surrounded in the middle had a cold expression.

The assistant, skilled at reading the room, quickly stepped in to speak, “Mr. Zhu, it’s a small matter. Is it really necessary to make such a fuss?”

Mr. Zhu, having been publicly reprimanded, looked visibly deflated, especially in front of so many people.

However, the person who spoke was Mr. Fu’s assistant, representing Mr. Fu’s position.

Who would dare to go against Mr. Fu?

Mr. Zhu had no choice but to swallow his displeasure and forced a smile, “Yes, yes, I was too petty. I shouldn’t have quarreled with a service staff member.”

He took out his wallet, pulled out several bills, and tossed them in front of Mu Qianqian, scattering them on the floor.

Mr. Zhu, with his nose in the air, arrogantly said, “Here’s a tip for you.”

Fu Sichan’s entire aura was cold and oppressive, and the frost in his eyes seemed almost solidified.
