Chapter 43 : Counseling Qianqian
At dinner, Mu Qianqian was still muttering to herself while reciting formulas, “What’s that theorem called again?”
Fu Sichan heard her and casually answered the question.
Mu Qianqian’s eyes lit up, “That’s it! Mr, how did you know?”
As soon as she said it, she felt she had asked a silly question.
Of course, Mr. must know these things, he’s been to college.
Fu Sichan modestly replied, “The things I learned before, I haven’t forgotten yet.”
“Mr, were you a top student back then?”
Fu Sichan smiled slightly, “Not really.”
“They all call me a study genius.”
His tone was understated but carried an authoritative force that made one believe him without question.
Mu Qianqian stood there, stunned.
“What’s wrong? Don’t believe me?” Fu Sichan asked.
Mu Qianqian quickly shook her head, “No, no, I believe you.”
Mr is so smart, he must have been outstanding in school too.
She was just… momentarily dazzled by Mr.’s charisma and confidence.
When Mr said he was a study genius, his tone carried the pride of someone who’s been in a position of authority, making it hard not to be impressed.
Realizing her cheeks were starting to flush, Mu Qianqian quickly rubbed her face.
Don’t be infatuated!
“Mr. I have a small request.”
Fu Sichan seemed to read her thoughts. Before she could bring it up herself, he said:
“If there’s anything you don’t understand, I’ll teach you.”
Mu Qianqian was so happy she almost jumped up, her voice bright and clear.
“Thank you, Mr!”
She was so eager to get back to studying that she barely touched her food.
Fu Sichan’s face darkened, “Eat a bit more.”
“I’m already full.”
“Do you still want me to teach you? Finish these dishes first,” Fu Sichan said coldly.
Mu Qianqian pouted but obediently picked up her chopsticks and continued eating.
Seeing this, Fu Sichan’s expression finally softened a bit.
After dinner, the two went to the guest room together and sat at the desk to study.
“This solution is incorrect, you should approach it from this angle…”
“This method you’re using is also valid. I have a quicker solution you can try…”
Fu Sichan’s voice was deep and magnetic, and his explanations were clear and straightforward.
After listening, many of Mu Qianqian’s confusing points became clear.
While Mu Qianqian was memorizing formulas, Fu Sichan casually picked up a notebook from her desk, intending to check her homework.
However, he accidentally came across a small ledger where she kept track of expenses.
It clearly recorded that Mr. had spent an eight-figure amount on her surgery.
Mr. had bought her a phone…
Mr. had taken her shopping for daily necessities and bought her many supplements and nutritional drinks…
And there were daily nutritional meal plans, as well as milk and goat milk…
Every expense was meticulously recorded.
Fu Sichan looked at her neat handwriting, and his gaze deepened significantly.
“Mr, listen to me and see if I’ve memorized the formulas correctly.”
Fu Sichan was momentarily taken aback and didn’t respond, so Mu Qianqian nudged his arm.
“Mr?”
Fu Sichan’s eyes flickered, “Go ahead.”
“Okay.”
Mu Qianqian sat up straight and began reciting formulas and theorems.
Fu Sichan placed the ledger back where he found it.
…
Mu Qianqian worked on problems in front of Fu Sichan.
“You made a mistake here.”
“Where?”
Fu Sichan held her hand and guided it across the paper, showing her how to write.
“I’ll teach you how to do it.”
His large hand enveloped her small one completely, its warmth and roughness providing a comforting sense of security.
As he moved closer, the fresh and pleasant scent from him wafted into Mu Qianqian’s nose.
Mu Qianqian bit her lower lip, her heartbeat accelerating uncontrollably.
“Did you learn it?”
Fu Sichan spoke softly.
The warm breath he exhaled brushed against her delicate earlobe.
Mu Qianqian shivered slightly, her heart fluttering.
It was as if a stream of spring water had melted through her entire being.
Fu Sichan glanced down and saw her pale cheeks flush with a rosy tint, her ears turning bright red.
She remained stiff, frozen in the same position.
Fu Sichan’s chest rumbled with a soft, low laugh.
“Am I that intimidating?”
Mu Qianqian licked her lips, “N-No.”
“Then why are you staying so far away?”
Carefully, Mu Qianqian moved back closer to him, enveloped once more by his presence.
Fu Sichan taught her again.
But Mu Qianqian’s mind wandered uncontrollably; one moment she was admiring how nice his voice sounded, the next moment she felt a ticklish sensation in her ears.
His breath as he spoke seemed to blow directly into her ears, causing a mix of itchiness and tingling.
“Mu Qianqian, what are you thinking about?”
Fu Sichan noticed her distraction and lightly tapped the desk with his fingers.
“Nothing, nothing.” Mu Qianqian straightened up nervously.
Fu Sichan pinched her nose lightly, “Pay attention. I have other matters to attend to, so I can’t spend too much time teaching you.”
“Teacher Fu, please continue. I’ll listen carefully this time.”
Fu Sichan’s lips curved into a satisfied smile, “That’s more like it.”
…
On the day of the exam, Mu Qianqian was in a separate exam room.
The teacher read out the questions for her and asked her to write the answers on paper.
Many of the questions were ones Fu Sichan had explained to her, so Mu Qianqian was clear-headed and solved them quickly.
The teacher initially thought she was just scribbling randomly and frowned disapprovingly.
“If you don’t understand a question, it’s better not to write anything than to write nonsense. Random answers won’t earn points.”
“Yes, I understand, teacher.”
As Mu Qianqian continued to answer questions rapidly on her exam paper, the proctor glanced down and was immediately struck with astonishment. His impatience froze on his face, replaced by sheer shock.
The paper was organized and clear, with each question answered using the quickest and most intelligent methods.
More importantly, Mu Qianqian had answered every question correctly! Even the final, most challenging questions were answered flawlessly, with no mistakes.
The proctor thought to himself, “I didn’t realize this girl was such a top student.”
He had assumed that her rapid writing was due to guesswork, but she was actually remarkably skilled! Among the entire department, her score was likely the highest.
After the exam, Mu Qianqian walked out of the exam room and was stopped by Fang Yanran.
“Qianqian, I didn’t expect this exam to be so difficult. I had trouble with several questions. How about you?”
Mu Qianqian smiled gently, “I’m fine. I had reviewed all the exam content beforehand.”
“How are you so amazing?”
Mu Qianqian smiled and did not answer.
The reason she was so impressive was that Fu Sichan had helped her highlight the key points in advance.
With the highlighted points for review, all the exam questions fell within this scope, making them easy for her to handle.
Nearby, a few students from the same major walked past, whispering among themselves.
“Haha, it’s hilarious. Is Fang Yanran really that naive? Why is she talking so much to a blind person? Do they even think that blind person can pass?”
“Let’s hope she doesn’t score the lowest when the results come out. We don’t want her to drag down our department’s average score!”
“Our school places great importance on exam results. If Mu Qianqian keeps failing, she might be expelled!”
