The Billionaire’s Blind Bride Chapter 47

Chapter 47 : The Lu Family’s Past

However, there is no one I know with this name.

So why did she have such an emotional reaction?

“Qianqian, what’s wrong?” Li Siyu asked.

Mu Qianqian placed a hand on her chest. “It’s nothing. I just find that name… unusual.”

To her, it felt inexplicably special and somewhat familiar.

“The Lu family still holds a significant position in Bei City. However, the Lu family experienced a setback more than a decade ago, leading to their decline. Now, they are considered a second-rate family.”

Mu Qianqian couldn’t help but ask, “What happened?”

“Qianqian, you used to have no interest in the affairs of wealthy families. Why are you curious about the Lu family now?”

“I don’t know.”

She suddenly found herself very interested in the Lu family, even though she wasn’t sure why.

“Since you’re interested, I’ll tell you. Over a decade ago, the Lu family’s cherished daughter went missing. For years, the Lu family head and his wife have expended enormous effort searching for their lost daughter, neglecting even their company, which led to the family’s gradual decline.”

“A missing biological daughter, oh my God. Have they found her now?”

Such a huge blow, how could anyone handle it?

“Not yet. After all these years, I doubt they will ever find her. I’ve heard that the Lu family’s wife has fallen ill from the stress. If they don’t find their daughter soon, she might not have much longer to live.”

Mu Qianqian remained silent.

For some reason, her heart suddenly felt tight.

It was as if a large hand was gripping it, making it hard for her to breathe.

What was going on?

She had no connection to the Lu family. Why did hearing about them make her feel so distressed?

“The Lu family also has an adopted daughter named Lu Yunxiang. I heard she looks somewhat similar to the Lu family’s biological daughter, which is why the Lu couple adopted her. But recently, this adopted daughter hasn’t been seen in the social circle. It seems she had a falling out with her brother, Lu Yunbai, and even had her credit cards suspended. No one knows why.”

Mu Qianqian sat on the bed, lost in thought for a long time.

That night, Fu Sichan came back very late.

Noticing the smell of alcohol and tobacco on him, Mu Qianqian knew that he had been out for social events again.

“Mr. take care of yourself. If you can avoid these social events, please do so.”

Mu Qianqian supported him and couldn’t help but fuss over him like a mother.

Fu Sichan rubbed his aching forehead and smirked, “Since when did you start taking care of me?”

Usually, he was the one taking care of her, making sure she took her supplements on time, ate well, and didn’t cry.

Now it was this little crybaby’s turn to take care of him.

Quite a refreshing change.

Mu Qianqian shot him a glare and threatened, “If you don’t listen, just keep drinking. If you end up with health problems one day, I’ll just remarry.”

Her words were soft and lacked any real threat.

Yet, this remark still struck a chord with Fu Sichan.

He reached out and pinched her cheek, making her little face puff up like a bun.

He curved his lips into a smile.

“Alright, little housekeeper.”

If he could avoid these social events, he certainly would.

But in the business world, where he bore the weight of the entire Fu Group, sometimes there was no choice but to participate.

Mu Qianqian helped him sit on the sofa and removed her hand from his arm.

“I’m not going to deal with you anymore.”

She got up and left.

Fu Sichan spread his knees and rested his elbows on them, rubbing his throbbing temples.

He took off his tie and tossed it onto the sofa.

After a while of silence in the living room, Fu Sichan thought Mu Qianqian had really gone to her room out of anger.

But soon, he saw a cup of warm water and two stomach pills placed on the coffee table.

Fu Sichan looked up in surprise.

He saw Mu Qianqian squatting on the floor opposite the coffee table, her face full of concern.

The reason she was upset was ultimately because she cared about his health.

“How did you get the stomach medicine?”

Fu Sichan’s voice was hoarse and his gaze dark and deep.

Mu Qianqian hugged her knees and squatted on the ground, resting her chin on her crossed arms, looking like a gloomy little mushroom.

“I guessed you’d be out for social events all day today. So I asked Aunt Liu to prepare the stomach medicine in advance, waiting for you to come back and take it.”

A look of surprise quickly flashed across Fu Sichan’s eyes.

So that’s how it is.

For a moment, his gaze towards Mu Qianqian became more complex.

“Hurry up and take the medicine. Do I need to feed it to you?”

The little girl was throwing a tantrum, her tone different from usual, trying to sound stern.

But to Fu Sichan, her trying-to-be-ferocious demeanor was irresistibly cute.

Fu Sichan felt playful and deliberately said,

“Your husband has a severe headache, so I’ll have to trouble Mrs. Fu to help me take the medicine.”

Mu Qianqian turned bright red at the mention of “Mrs. Fu.”

How shameless!

“Mrs. Fu? When will you help your husband take the medicine?”

Mu Qianqian covered her burning face, wishing she could find something to cover his mouth.

“Stop talking. I’ll feed it to you, alright?”

She took out a pill and held it in her palm.

After hesitating for a while, Mu Qianqian finally gathered the courage to hold the pill up to his mouth.

Fu Sichan obediently took the medicine.

Mu Qianqian let out a sigh of relief and picked up the cup of water to give him a sip.

After one sip, she continued to feed him more.

Fu Sichan turned his face away. “One sip is enough.”

Mu Qianqian was a bit doubtful. “But you didn’t tilt your head earlier. Did you really swallow the medicine?”

Fu Sichan was at a loss for words.

This silly girl thought everyone was as clumsy as she was and couldn’t even take medicine properly.

“I’ve already swallowed it. Don’t worry.”

Mu Qianqian was still skeptical, considering how many times she had struggled to swallow medicine in the past.

After feeding him the two pills, Mu Qianqian was about to leave when Fu Sichan grabbed her wrist.

Suddenly, the world seemed to spin.

She was pushed onto the sofa, enveloped by a strong male presence, which felt overwhelmingly aggressive.

Mu Qianqian’s heart raced wildly, her cheeks turning redder than a persimmon.

She could barely speak.

“Mr. what are you doing?”

Under the influence of alcohol, Fu Sichan said things he would never normally say.

“Qianqian, give birth to a child for me.”

His voice was deep and magnetic, exuding the charm of a mature man.

Although Mu Qianqian couldn’t see, she could feel his intense gaze sweeping over her entire body.

This made her feel incredibly embarrassed, wishing she could disappear into a crack in the ground.

She hesitated to respond, and Fu Sichan frowned in concern.

“Do you disagree?”

Mu Qianqian’s face was so red it seemed like it might bleed, and she stammered, “I-I…”

Mr is being way too direct.

She had never embraced or kissed a man before, and jumping straight to having a baby was something she simply wasn’t used to.

Fu Sichan held her slender waist, his tone firm and resolute.

“Qianqian, answer my question.”
