Chapter 52 : Sharing the Bed
Fu Sichan stiffened.
The girl’s warm, soft presence was in his arms, and her breath carried a lingering fragrance of orchids that was deeply captivating.
Mu Qianqian murmured softly, “Don’t go…”
The usually steely and ruthless Fu Sichan was unexpectedly disturbed by her words, causing ripples in his otherwise calm heart.
He gazed deeply at her sleeping face, hesitated for a long while, and ultimately decided not to leave her.
The next morning, when Mu Qianqian woke up, Fu Sichan was already gone.
However, his lingering warmth was still present on the bed.
Did she… actually share a bed withMr. yesterday?
Mu Qianqian scrambled out of bed and hurriedly covered her flushed face with her hands.
She had been so groggy and disoriented last night that she vaguely remembered pulling him and not letting him leave.
After that… she had ended up cuddling with a big, warm source of comfort and slept soundly.
“Was it just a dream?”
Mu Qianqian wasn’t sure.
During breakfast, Mu Qianqian occasionally glanced up, sneaking peeks at Fu Sichan.
“What are you looking at?”
Fu Sichan, catching her gaze, asked coldly.
Mu Qianqian’s face showed her inner conflict as she absentmindedly stirred her porridge.
She asked quietly, “Mr, last night, did we…”
Fu Sichan looked at her deeply, his throat moving slightly.
In a husky voice, he said, “Last night, I escorted you back to your own room and then left.”
“Oh.”
Mu Qianqian lowered her head and continued eating, feeling downcast.
For some reason, the food in her mouth suddenly seemed tasteless.
Had it all been just a dream?
But everything had felt so real, the Mr.Fu’s muscles were firm and hard, and his body was scorching hot.
Mu Qianqian quickly shook off these inappropriate thoughts.
Out of her sight, a fleeting depth of meaning crossed Fu Sichan’s eyes.
The young girl didn’t sleep still, rubbing against him, which ignited a fiery discomfort within him.
If Fu Sichan’s self-control hadn’t been so exceptional, she wouldn’t have been able to sleep through the night peacefully.
Even so, he had to get up early and take a cold shower to cool down the unwanted heat.
“I’m full.”
Mu Qianqian put down her chopsticks, grabbed her backpack, and prepared to head to school.
“Mu Qianqian.” Fu Sichan suddenly called out to her.
The girl, wearing a little yellow duck backpack, slowly turned around.
“Don’t kick off the covers while you sleep, you might catch a cold.”
Mu Qianqian was momentarily stunned, then she realized what he meant. The blood rushed to her head, and her pale face immediately turned a shade of red.
What Mr. meant was… they, they… had shared a bed last night?
If it hadn’t been for sharing a bed, why would he mention her kicking off the covers?
So, they had indeed slept in the same bed last night.
The strong, warm body she had held onto was undoubtedly the Mr.
At this realization, Mu Qianqian was so embarrassed she wanted to disappear on the spot.
“I’m going to school now. Goodbye, Mr!”
She quickly finished her sentence and rushed out of the house.
If she stayed any longer, she was afraid her heart rate would go off the charts.
When the elevator reached the ground floor, Mu Qianqian dashed out, pressing her hand against her chest.
Her heart was still racing, pounding so fast it was causing pain in her chest.
Mr. had previously mentioned wanting her to bear his child.
Mr. was older than her, and his family must be pressuring him. He also carried a lot of pressure.
But… they hadn’t known each other for long, and Mu Qianqian didn’t even know what the Mr. looked like.
Isn’t it a bit too soon to talk about having a child like this?
……
Fu Sichan arrived at work an hour later than usual today.
The driver and assistant waited downstairs, and when Fu Sichan finally appeared, his expression was cold and severe, with his dark hair still damp.
“Mr. Fu, why did you take a shower so early in the morning?”
Fu Sichan’s cold glare shot over.
Assistant Wang immediately fell silent, not daring to speak further.
Fu Sichan exuded an aura of cold hostility that was intimidating.
After all, taking a cold shower so early in the morning would put anyone in a foul mood.
Today, at the Fu Corporation, the executives were privately discussing one matter.
“What’s up with Mr. Fu today? He’s in such a bad mood, several proposals have been rejected.”
“I don’t know. Mr. Fu is usually picky, but today he’s even more difficult to please. If I had known, I would have postponed presenting this proposal. I definitely don’t want to clash with him.”
“If you’re not in a hurry with your tasks, I advise you to wait until tomorrow to report to Mr. Fu.”
……
Mu Qianqian and Li Siyu ran into each other during an elective class.
“I met Wanqing’s brother at Yunchen Hotel yesterday.”
Li Siyu’s eyes widened in shock, “Are you talking about Master Ye?”
“That’s him, I suppose. The tea he made was really good. At the time, I didn’t taste much, but now I realize how exceptional it was.”
“Do you know how significant it is to have Master Ye personally make tea? Many aristocratic families want to befriend the Ye family, but Ye Shao himself remains low-key and mysterious. People only know that he is passionate about classical and elegant pursuits like tea art and calligraphy, and he’s a master in all of them.”
Mr. Fu from Bei City, Mr. Ye from Su City. These two are the two men that socialites most want to marry, ranking first and second respectively.
“From what you said, it seems that this Master Ye is similar to the hermits in ancient times.”
Li Siyu nodded, “That’s what I mean. He doesn’t look like a businessman, but rather like a scholar who is not tainted by the dust.”
After hearing what Li Siyu said, Mu Qianqian felt that this Mr. Ye had a quite unique temperament.
However, it had nothing to do with her.
The old professor entered the classroom and distributed the exam papers.
“Students, the exam questions this time are quite difficult, and there are a lot of failures. Let’s distribute the papers first, and then I will explain the more challenging questions.”
The class representative distributed the papers to everyone.
Li Siyu and Fang Yanran received their papers, but Mu Qianqian’s hands were empty.
Mu Qianqian stood up and said weakly, “Teacher, I haven’t received my paper.”
A burst of laughter came from behind her.
Yao Xuan’er sarcastically mocked, “This is hilarious, this blind girl still has the nerve to ask the teacher. Her paper must have been torn up because it was so poorly done.”
“If I were the teacher and saw the nonsense she wrote, I’d have high blood pressure. Not tearing it up would be showing patience.”
“I don’t get it. Why doesn’t she stay at home where she belongs? Why does she come to school to make a fool of herself?”
Despite the malicious taunts, Mu Qianqian remained unmoved.
She was slender but stood tall and straight, like a resilient flower on a cliff.
No matter how harsh the winds or rains, she remained pure and steadfast.
The old professor chuckled, “Mu Qianqian, is it? Please sit down. I’ll need your paper later.”
What could the teacher need her paper for?
Mu Qianqian was puzzled.
