Chapter 53 : Full Score
Soon, Mu Qianqian’s confusion was resolved.
“Students, please look at the PPT.”
On the screen was a perfect exam paper!
The paper was immaculate, with a clear problem-solving approach, presenting a newer and faster method.
“Whose paper is this? It’s amazing, even the most difficult questions are answered!”
“Could it be full marks? I remember this professor is very strict with grading. No one has ever received full marks in his class since it began.”
“It’s unlikely to be full marks, but it will definitely be above 95. Scoring that high in Professor Chen’s class is something to brag about for a year.”
The paper had no name, and everyone was speculating about whose it was.
Mu Qianqian squinted, straining her eyes until they ached, and could only see a blurry image.
She didn’t know whose paper it was either.
Professor Chen stirred everyone’s curiosity. With a friendly smile, he announced the answer.
“This is Mu Qianqian’s paper. I didn’t expect that, just starting university, she would master such advanced methods. She’s the first and only one in our entire grade to achieve this. Therefore, I’m making an exception… and giving her full marks.”
The announcement created a huge stir!
The classroom buzzed with discussions.
“That blind girl’s paper? Impossible. How could she do the problems if she can’t see anything?”
“I have review materials from upperclassmen, even they don’t know such advanced methods. How could Mu Qianqian?”
“Who did she learn this from? Could her relatives be professors?”
“This is the first full mark given by Professor Chen in all these years, and it’s given to a blind student!”
Even Li Siyu and Fang Yanran couldn’t help but ask, “Qianqian, where did you learn this method?”
Mu Qianqian smiled, “A friend of mine taught me.”
She was too embarrassed to say it was her husband who taught her.
After all, she was still a student, and if her married status were exposed, it might bring her a lot of unwelcome attention.
Professor Chen asked, “Mu Qianqian, could you leave your paper with me for a while? I’d like to use it to teach more advanced knowledge to the next class.”
Good grief, while others scrambled for high scores on their exams, Mu Qianqian casually scored full marks and became a teaching tool for the esteemed professor!
For a moment, everyone felt immense admiration and envy towards her.
Mu Qianqian’s name would likely spread among all the new students. Furthermore, upperclassmen and other teachers might also take a keen interest in her.
However, there were some who felt resentful and spoke enviously.
“Pffft, so what if she has an impressive relative? If I had such a talented private tutor, I could get full marks too.”
Mu Qianqian ignored these comments and stood up gracefully, responding:
“Sure. Thank you, Professor, for the recognition.”
Her composed and gracious attitude won her even more admiration.
As soon as class was over, Mu Qianqian was surrounded by her classmates, all eager to ask for her study tips.
Mu Qianqian generously shared her learning methods and some problem-solving techniques.
“Qianqian has such a good personality, sharing so openly with us without holding anything back.”
“Yeah, with Qianqian in our class, she’s probably the top candidate for the highest scholarship this year.”
Yao Xuan’er and her group were squeezed into a corner, seething with jealousy.
“Big deal, so she’s good at studying. What’s so impressive about that?”
“Being good at studying just makes her a bookworm. What’s the use?”
“Xuan’er, your family is so wealthy. When Mu Qianqian graduates, make sure she goes to your company as a cleaner, hahahaha.”
The girls were trying to flatter Yao Xuan’er, which would have made her proud in the past. But today, Yao Xuan’er remained grim-faced, her eyes filled with venom.
Yao Xuan’er realized that while Mu Qianqian’s family might not be well-off, if she really got involved with Fu Qianxing, her future would be limitless!
The Fu family was not just the richest in Bei City, they dominated the entire business empire.
Why should a blind Mu Qianqian receive special treatment from Young Master Fu?
If Mu Qianqian married into the Fu family, wouldn’t she be stepping over Yao Xuan’er’s head?
Yao Xuan’er was in a foul mood, grabbing a little follower and digging her sharp nails into her hand, leaving several bloodied scratches.
The little follower winced in pain, sweating and almost crying, but dared not resist.
—
Lujia Villa.
Recently, Lu Yunxiang had been secretly monitoring Mu Qianqian’s activities.
Although Sha Pu had failed to drive Mu Qianqian out of university, the Financel University had strict requirements, and if Mu Qianqian failed a few exams, she would be advised to withdraw.
But instead of seeing Mu Qianqian expelled, she got news that Mu Qianqian had scored full marks and become a top student!
“Wretched girl! Don’t let me catch you!”
Lu Yunxiang gritted her teeth and swept all the precious porcelain in the room to the floor, shattering them.
Downstairs, Lu Yunbai was meeting with Young Master Ye.
Hearing the commotion from upstairs, Lu Yunbai frowned in disgust, “What’s going on now?”
The housekeeper said, “Young Master, I’ll go upstairs to check on the young lady.”
“Go ahead. Just keep her quiet.”
The housekeeper went upstairs and knocked on Lu Yunxiang’s door. “Miss, Young Master is meeting with guests downstairs. Please keep it down.”
As an adopted daughter, Lu Yunxiang dared not defy Lu Yunbai, the Lu family’s heir.
She even felt she could not show any disrespect to the housekeeper, refraining from raising her voice.
Otherwise, she might be kicked out at any moment!
Suppressing her anger, Lu Yunxiang responded resentfully, “I understand. I’ll be quiet.”
The noise upstairs finally subsided.
—
Downstairs, the hall was filled with calming incense.
Ye Xuanlin was not like an ordinary wealthy young master, he favored traditional Chinese robes, simple and elegant, giving him an otherworldly, almost ascetic appearance.
“Let’s end our discussion here for today, Young Master Lu. On another day, I’ll bring my younger sister to visit formally.”
Lu Yunbai stood up to see him off.
The two walked to the garden in the courtyard. Lu Yunbai hesitated before speaking:
“To be honest, these years, our parents have devoted so much effort to finding my younger sister that they have had no spare energy for the company. The Lu family is no longer what it used to be, and with the Ye family’s business flourishing, I fear I… am not worthy of Miss Ye.”
“Marriage is a matter of parental arrangement and matchmaking. It cannot be so casually undone.”
“I’m just worried that Miss Ye might be wronged.”
Ye Xuanlin replied gently, “I’ll bring my younger sister to visit your elders another day. If neither you nor my sister feel a mutual affection, our family will not force the marriage.”
“Well, that’s good.”
Lu Yunbai’s face was marked with an inexpressible sorrow.
Without finding his younger sister, he would find it hard to find peace in this life.
As Ye Xuanlin left the Ye family villa, he seemed to recall something and glanced back.
He couldn’t shake the feeling that Young Master Lu’s features looked somewhat familiar.
As if he had seen them somewhere before.
