The Billionaire’s Blind Bride Chapter 7

Chapter 7 : Moving into a New Home

Mu Qianqian licked her lips and asked eagerly, “What’s the gift?”

Fu Sichan placed a cool, square object into her hand. When Mu Qianqian felt it, she immediately recognized what it was.

“A phone!”

Although she hadn’t bought this particular model, she had seen her best friend, Li Siyu, using it, so she quickly realized it was the latest high-end smartphone, which was quite expensive.

Fu Sichan asked, “Do you like it?”

Mu Qianqian nodded repeatedly, full of gratitude. “Yes, I like it.”

She had long wanted a new phone, her old one was painfully slow and had volume issues. A spam text in the middle of the night would always scare her awake.

She hugged the new phone with affection and said sincerely, “Mr. Fu, you’re so kind.”

She never thought she’d see the day when she could experience such kindness. Not only had Mr. Fu helped her with her eyes, but he also bought her a new phone, helped her keep her student status, and even offered her a place to stay at his home.

She could never repay his kindness in this lifetime!

Hearing her praise, Fu Sichan’s eyes briefly showed surprise.

He had heard many people describe him as cold and ruthless, but it was the first time someone praised him for being kind.

Perhaps, when she learns about his true identity in the future, she might regret saying such things.

After all, he had never been a soft-hearted person.

“I have other matters to attend to. If you need anything, you can talk to the housekeeper or my assistant.”

Fu Sichan walked to the door of the hospital room and grasped the doorknob. “My phone number has been saved in your new phone as your emergency contact. You can call me for important matters, but try to call as little as possible.”

He hadn’t originally intended to do this, given that Mu Qianqian was merely his nominal wife and they had no real marital relationship. However, his grandmother had persistently urged him to be kind to Mu Qianqian, calling her a pitiable child.

Fu Sichan, feeling overwhelmed by his grandmother’s incessant requests, had decided to take these actions.

“Okay, I won’t disturb you,” Mu Qianqian said obediently.

The new phone had a voice assistant, allowing her to give commands directly.

The housekeeper helped her transfer the SIM card from her old phone into the new one, migrating her friends’ and best friend’s contact information over.

Mu Qianqian instructed the phone assistant, “Call Li Siyu.”

The phone dialed Li Siyu’s number.

“Qianqian, why are you calling me? Can you see now?”

Mu Qianqian smiled happily, “I just had surgery. The doctor said I should be able to fully recover after some time. And with the new phone, I can use voice commands, so I’m able to call you.”

“You bought a new phone? Who got it for you?”

Mu Qianqian hesitated a moment, a bit shy, and said, “I—I got it from my husband.”

“I didn’t expect your husband to be so thoughtful, considering even this detail,” Li Siyu said, relieved to hear her friend had found a good match. “What does your husband do? What does he look like?”

“He seems to be an employee of the Fu Group, but I haven’t seen what he looks like yet.”

“If I didn’t have to stay at school every day, I’d really want to visit you in the hospital and check out what your husband looks like. After all, you’re so into appearances, if he turns out to be unattractive, wouldn’t you feel a bit wronged?”

Mu Qianqian chuckled, “It’s okay. Even if he’s not good-looking, I’d still be happy.”

After all, Mr. Fu was so good to her. Even if he were an unattractive man, she would be willing to spend her life with him.

One should be grateful and repay kindness, Mu Qianqian wasn’t ungrateful.

“The school has assigned you a dorm room. I’ve submitted your contact information, so you might be added to the dorm group chat later.”

“Okay, thanks.”

“Rest well. The instructor just blew the whistle for us to assemble. Ugh, the military training is so exhausting, we’re all about to collapse,” Li Siyu said, envious that Mu Qianqian didn’t have to endure the grueling training.

Mu Qianqian said goodbye, “You should go now, so you don’t get penalized by the instructor for being late.”

After hanging up, her phone announced, “Fang Yanran has requested to add you as a friend.”

Mu Qianqian called out to the hallway, “Aunt Liu, could you come in here, please?”

“Could you help me with my phone? Please approve my roommate’s friend request.”

The housekeeper tapped a few times on the phone and approved the request.

“Thank you.”

Mu Qianqian was added to a small group of four people. She wasn’t sure who had accidentally included her in the class group chat.

She didn’t have a nickname, so no one knew who she was.

The group chat was buzzing with discussion “Did you hear? Someone from our class hasn’t reported in and isn’t participating in military training. The school hasn’t expelled her.”

“I heard she’s sick and couldn’t participate in the training.”

“Ha, she wasn’t sick during the college entrance exams, but suddenly ill during military training? Do you believe those excuses?”

“Probably a VIP, I guess. I didn’t expect there to be people using connections even in college. How unfortunate.”

“Whether she’s a VIP or a useless person will be clear once she returns to school.”

Mu Qianqian had already turned off her phone, so she was unaware of the discussion about her in the group.

Having completed the surgery, she could be discharged early.

Her assistant drove her to the Mingyuan community near the Finance University.

The housekeeper took her hand, led her upstairs, and into the apartment.

“Miss Mu, this apartment is in Building 5, Unit 2, Room 1314.”

“Okay, I’ll remember that.” Mu Qianqian nodded as she sat on the soft sofa.

Aunt Liu said, “I live in the next room. If you need anything, feel free to call me at any time.”

“Aunt Liu, how many rooms are there here?”

“There are four rooms in total, besides the master and guest bedrooms, there’s also a study and a children’s room.”

Mu Qianqian thought for a moment. “I’ll stay in the guest bedroom for now.”

“Aren’t you going to stay with Mr. Fu?”

Mu Qianqian’s cheeks immediately flushed red.

She had never lived with a man before, let alone shared a bed. She had never even kissed or hugged a man.

Being suddenly asked to share a room with her nominal husband made her feel quite uncomfortable.

“Then I’ll take you to the guest bedroom.”

Aunt Liu took her arm and led her to the guest room.

Knowing Mu Qianqian’s vision was poor, Old Lady Fu had arranged for any excess furniture to be removed from the house in advance. The sharp edges of the remaining tables and chairs were also covered with protective covers to prevent any accidents if Mu Qianqian accidentally bumped into them.

Aunt Liu prepared lunch for her.

After eating, Aunt Liu also brought her a cup of goat milk. “This is specially instructed by Mr. Fu to help you with nutrition.”

Goat milk is more nutritious than cow’s milk.

Mu Qianqian, who had grown up undernourished and lacked proper nutrition, needed to replenish her protein intake.

“Please thank him for me.” Mu Qianqian took the warm glass and drank it while pinching her nose.

It was a thoughtful gesture from Mr. Fu, and she didn’t want to let it go to waste.

There was a noise at the door.

“Mr. Fu has returned.”

Mu Qianqian’s heart tensed.
