The Billionaire’s Blind Bride Chapter 86

Chapter 86 : Distinguished Guests

Fu Sichan kept his promise and took Mu Qianqian to the most professional recording studio in Bei City the next day.

Many renowned singers had recorded here.

“I’ve arranged for a teacher for you. Just focus on your singing inside,” he said.

“Okay.” Mu Qianqian nodded obediently. “Goodbye, Mr.”

Fu Sichan had a work call to attend to, so he left the recording studio to discuss work outside.

A female celebrity wearing sunglasses burst in energetically. Upon seeing someone in the room, she immediately put on a displeased expression.

“Wasn’t this room reserved for me? Get the people inside out immediately!”

The staff smiled apologetically. “Ms. Jian, I’m really sorry, but a VIP reserved this room before you. Let me show you to another studio.”

The celebrity’s assistant rolled her eyes. “This studio has the best sound quality. We came all the way here just to record a soundtrack for a drama. No other studio has such good effects. Hurry up and get the people out so we can use it!”

“But… we can’t afford to offend this VIP.”

The assistant sneered, “Oh, so you look down on us, don’t you? Fine, if Ling Ling talks to your boss, you’ll see what happens.”

“We wouldn’t dare. Ms. Jian is the lead actress in a hot drama right now. How could we look down on you? But studios do operate on a first-come, first-served basis… don’t you agree?”

The assistant retorted, “First-come, first-served? This studio has always been reserved exclusively for Ling Ling. Why should an outsider be allowed to use it? You should look in the mirror and see if you’re worthy of it!”

“Who is that person inside? Do we have anyone like her in our circle?” Jian Ling asked.

Through the glass, Jian Ling saw Mu Qianqian’s appearance and a flash of jealousy crossed her eyes.

Who is this woman? She’s so beautiful, and I’ve never heard of her before.

Could she be a newcomer?

The assistant glanced inside and scoffed, “She’s probably some minor celebrity. Her outfit and style seem to be imitating yours.”

Jian Ling followed the pure and innocent image, having played many sweet and naïve female leads.

But her real personality was different; the pure and sweet image was all a façade.

The woman in the studio not only looked more delicate and beautiful than her, but also had an aura of innocence and purity. Jian Ling could never replicate such an effect.

The difference between the genuine sweetness and the fake charm she portrayed was stark.

This gave Jian Ling a strong sense of crisis.

“Find out who she is and what her background is.”

The assistant replied, “I’ll ask in the group.”

The assistant posted Mu Qianqian’s photo in a group chat, asking other managers if they knew which agency she belonged to.

However, no one came forward to claim her.

“Who is managing her? She’s destined to succeed in the entertainment industry with a face like that.”

“If she’s not signed to any company yet, I’d sign her immediately and give her the best fashion and film resources.”

“This is a raw photo? Are you sure it’s not edited? Whoever signs her will be like signing a cash cow.”

“With a face like that, it’s hard not to become famous.”

The more they discussed, the worse the assistant’s expression became.

What’s the use of being good-looking? To make it in the industry, you still need someone to back you up.

Just like how Ling Ling has recently connected with the young master of the Cheng family. In the future… she might even have a chance to meet that person.

If that person takes an interest in her, she’d have endless resources, and could pick and choose from top directors’ films.

“Didn’t find out anything? She’s probably too obscure, with zero presence online. Singing so poorly, she still dares to perform.”

Hearing the assistant’s comment, Jian Ling felt much better.

No fame is good, it means there’s no support behind her. This kind of background-less small-time actress, she could crush with a single finger.

After standing for a while, Jian Ling’s legs started to ache. “How much longer do I have to wait? I have to rush to the next appointment. If this delays my schedule, who’s going to compensate for it?”

The assistant quickly helped her sit down and began to massage her shoulders.

“What are you standing around for? Get them out of there. If this delays a multi-million dollar gig, will you be the one to make up for it?”

The staff were caught in a dilemma.

Unless they were suicidal, they wouldn’t dare oppose the Fu family.

But this big celebrity was also someone a lowly staff member couldn’t handle.

“I’ll go talk to the boss.”

Soon, the studio owner arrived.

Jian Ling held her head high and adopted a condescending attitude.

“Your staff are so unprofessional. I won’t make a fuss this time, but I’m in a hurry. Clear out the recording studio for me.”

She thought the studio owner would side with her.

After all, her status in the industry was undeniable. Who could surpass her, except for top-tier figures like those few movie stars?

But to her surprise, the boss said, “Sorry, Ms. Jian, this studio is already reserved for a VIP. Please use another studio.”

“What did you say?” Jian Ling shouted angrily.

The assistant quickly pulled her aside, reminding her to maintain her image.

Jian Ling cleared her throat, quickly adjusting her tone to a more affected and high-pitched voice.

“What VIP? I’ve never heard of this person before.”

The boss looked distressed. “I’m afraid we can’t disclose that information.”

Jian Ling pointedly asked, “Is this woman one of your own?”

The question made the boss break out in a cold sweat.

Did he dare to compete with that person over a woman? Was he looking for trouble?

“Ms. Jian, please don’t make wild accusations. Be careful not to provoke trouble.”

Jian Ling’s face turned dark with suppressed anger.

How dare a mere recording studio owner talk to her like this?

If it weren’t for the fact that this place often saw industry insiders and any gossip could damage her reputation, Jian Ling would have exploded by now.

“Ling Ling, don’t get upset. Let’s not argue with him.”

Jian Ling cursed inwardly, “Damn it, let’s go.”

“But the soundtrack for the drama hasn’t been recorded yet…”

“If I can’t use the best studio, I’d rather not record at all. Let the drama side wait!”

Jian Ling stormed out of the recording studio, only to see a tall, imposing figure approaching.

Her eyes lit up immediately, and her heart began to race.

Previously, from Cheng Lin, she had seen a blurred side profile photo. Although it wasn’t very clear, she could still make out the man’s extraordinary looks.

It was said that this was the current head of the Fu family.

Just one glance, and Jian Ling was captivated by his entire aura of nobility and authority.

A man like this was born to be a king.

In an industry where she often found herself at the mercy of others, if she were to be with a man, she wanted to be with someone at the pinnacle of power.

Jian Ling quickly caught up and in a sweet, high-pitched voice said, “Mr. Fu, what a coincidence to run into you here.”
