Chapter 41: Killing Intent
The hall was pitch black.
Su Jiu couldn’t see who was on top of her, and even breathing was difficult.
He pressed down on her, his lips savagely ravaging hers, his hand on her side forcefully grabbed her struggling hand, even interlacing their fingers, firmly fixing her hand to the side of her face.
Su Jiu was about to go crazy.
She opened her mouth to bite him, but the person on top of her reacted incredibly fast!
Taking advantage of the moment she opened her lips, he stuck his tongue in.
Su Jiu wanted to die.
“You b…”
The unfinished syllable was blocked in her throat. Su Jiu had lived for thirty years in two lifetimes, and this was the first time she had been kissed by someone.
And it was such a deep kiss!
She was both ashamed and angry, and for a moment, she even forgot that she had taken the “Three-Day Red Face” and couldn’t use her spiritual power freely.
Su Jiu’s uncontrolled hand secretly formed a hand seal, about to summon her sword, when she suddenly heard the noise outside rushing towards them like a tide. Then, the heavy palace door was kicked open, and a snow-white figure floated to the bedside like a gust of wind, waving his hand and striking the person behind Su Jiu.
Su Jiu thought that the person would at least retreat to avoid the blow, but he actually took it head-on.
“Ugh…”
The person groaned, and Su Jiu felt her scalp tingle, almost letting out a cry.
The shock of being kissed by a “stranger” was nothing compared to the shock she felt when she heard the voice of the person on top of her.
The candlelight in the hall flared up, and Shen Wangchen, dressed in white, stood by the bed, his face extremely ugly.
The two of them on the bed were entangled.
The lean, black-clothed young man pressed down on the girl, his cheek against hers.
The young man’s strong fingers firmly clasped the girl’s slender, white fingers, the veins on the back of his hand bulging.
Even at this moment, he was still kissing Su Jiu!
Shen Wangchen felt a surge of anger in his chest, and along with that anger, there was a strange feeling that he couldn’t explain, making him look at Mo Lin, unable to control his emotions for a moment, his right hand silently formed a hand seal.
Breaking Light.
Breaking Light was the name of his life-bound sword. Once summoned, it would not stop until it drew blood.
The air distorted slightly, and a crystal-clear sword body slowly appeared around Shen Wangchen.
The elders and disciples gathered at the entrance of Undao Hall all held their breath and silently took a step back.
Shen Wangchen looked coldly at the black-clothed young man on the bed, slowly raising his hand, his long fingers already touching the hilt of his sword. He had completely forgotten his initial plan to capture Mo Lin alive and investigate the matter thoroughly.
Su Jiu tasted blood in her mouth, not hers, but Mo Lin’s blood surging from his chest.
Even though he was now protected by the Demon Realm ancestor, Mo Lin was ultimately just a disciple at the late Foundation Establishment stage. Shen Wangchen’s palm strike, even if it didn’t take his life immediately, was enough to shatter his internal organs.
Su Jiu vaguely sensed the killing intent surging from Shen Wangchen, and in that split second, she figured out everything.
Since Master was trying to lure Mo Lin out using her, she absolutely couldn’t let Master lose control and kill Mo Lin. Otherwise, they would never understand the demon’s scheme.
Thinking this, Su Jiu gritted her teeth and bit down hard on her tongue.
Mo Lin winced in pain and finally released her. His dark eyes, like ancient wells, stared fixedly at her.
Su Jiu quickly shouted, “Master!”
Shen Wangchen regained his senses, his hand holding the hilt hesitated for a moment, his glassy eyes looked at Su Jiu with a hint of doubt.
He wanted to kill Mo Lin.
Su Jiu’s heart skipped a beat.
[Master, he wouldn’t really want to kill Mo Lin, would he?]
Shen Wangchen heard her thoughts, but he didn’t say anything. Instead, he tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword.
He clearly looked like he was going to kill Mo Lin today.
Mo Lin propped himself up between Su Jiu and the bed, still looking at her.
The old man in his jade pendant’s voice was almost hoarse, “You stupid boy, what are you doing? I told you to kill this woman, why did you kiss her?!?”
“Kill her now!”
“No good, Shen Wangchen wants to kill you! Run!!!”
The old man’s last “run” echoed, and the jade pendant trembled violently.
Shen Wangchen’s Breaking Light had already fully materialized. He held the sword in one hand, and with a seemingly casual strike, Mo Lin’s arm, which had been intertwined with Su Jiu’s just moments ago, instantly turned into a cloud of blood.
He moved extremely fast, like a flash of light, he pulled Su Jiu into his arms, his wide sleeves covering her body and face, blocking her vision while subtly concealing all the blood.
Mo Lin’s face instantly turned as white as snow.
The jade pendant at his waist made a “crack” sound, and a crack appeared in the middle.
The old man’s voice was exceptionally weak and hoarse, “Run!”
Shen Wangchen’s strike had absorbed eight out of ten of the force for Mo Lin.
Even so, just two out of ten was enough to cost Mo Lin an arm.
A black vortex appeared in front of him, and the old man in the jade pendant urged him, “Go!”
Mo Lin covered his severed arm, his bloodless face staring at Su Jiu in Shen Wangchen’s arms, then slowly moved upwards, landing on Shen Wangchen’s icy face.
His pale lips slowly curled up, his voice hoarse, “Master, I will be back.”
With that, he leaped into the black vortex, his figure disappearing.
Shen Wangchen’s glassy eyes stared at the spot where the vortex disappeared, he subconsciously took a step forward, then stopped, looking at the girl in his arms.
Su Jiu’s slightly pale face lifted, quietly looking at him, one hand tugging at his sleeve.
“Master.”
[Although that little bastard Mo Lin deserves to die, but I…]
Su Jiu shamelessly discovered that she was still soft-hearted.
After all, no matter what, he was the child she had raised with her own hands.
Su Jiu’s eyelashes were slightly damp, she knew she shouldn’t be soft-hearted at this inappropriate time.
She hardened her heart, let go of his hand, and shook her head gently, “It’s nothing…”
A warmth spread across her head.
Shen Wangchen placed his palm on her head.
His voice was cold, but his tone was soft, “It’s not your fault.”
Su Jiu looked up, staring at him in a daze.
Shen Wangchen withdrew his hand, his wide, soft sleeves brushed against Su Jiu’s face, making her want to cry for a moment.
Shen Wangchen turned his head, calmly looking at the crowd outside the door, and said, “The real demon traitor is Mo Lin, the fourth disciple of Wangchen. From today onwards, I have no fourth disciple Mo Lin, only a demon traitor. All cultivators in the world, upon seeing him,”
He paused, and said word by word, “May kill him.”
This was a kill order issued to the entire cultivation world.
Once anyone saw Mo Lin, they could kill him.
The crowd outside was silent.
No one wanted to hear that a demon traitor had appeared in their sect, especially a direct disciple of Shen Wangchen.
Now that they knew that Su Jiu had been framed by Mo Lin, they looked at her with a little more guilt.
Mu Yunqing rushed over.
As Su Jiu had guessed, tonight’s events were indeed a plan devised by Shen Wangchen and Mu Yunqing to lure Mo Lin out.
They made Mo Lin think that they had caught the traitor and then let down his guard. Then, when Mo Lin went to break the seal of the Demon Sealing Array under the urging of the Demon Realm ancestor, they set up a net to capture him.
Shen Wangchen naturally wouldn’t be indifferent to Su Jiu’s life or death.
In fact, imprisoning Su Jiu in his Undao Hall was Shen Wangchen’s way of ensuring her safety.
He had even considered that if Mo Lin escaped, he might try to kill Su Jiu, so he set up an array around Su Jiu. Once it sensed killing intent, the array would automatically activate to protect Su Jiu.
But Shen Wangchen had calculated everything except for one thing –
Mo Lin had never intended to kill Su Jiu from the beginning.
Even when he kissed Su Jiu just now, he had never had a single thought of killing her.
Therefore, the array naturally didn’t activate.
This shows that some of Su Jiu’s thoughts might be real, but some, like Mo Lin being infatuated with him and wanting to kill Su Jiu, might be slightly off.
Shen Wangchen was still thinking when Mu Yunqing arrived beside Su Jiu.
