The Capitalist Heiress Was Transmigrated into the ’70s Chapter 8

Chapter 8: Terrifying—Women Are Just Too Terrifying

By the lakeside of Yuan Garden.

A group of girls dressed in blue khaki short-sleeved uniforms were laughing and playing together.

After a while, they stopped fooling around and sat down on the large rocks by the lake, chatting leisurely.

“Sigh, it’s been almost two months since we graduated, and my family still hasn’t arranged a job for me. What about you guys?”

“Same here. My mom even told me to look for one on my own. With how tight the job market is right now, where am I supposed to find anything…”

“At least your families have decent connections. My mom said if I still can’t find anything, I’ll be sent to the countryside. I’m so fed up!”

“Hey Chunhua, what about you? How’s the job hunt going?”

The girls turned to look at the best-dressed one among them—Wu Chunhua.

The lackey beside her covered her mouth and giggled, answering on her behalf:

“Why are you all worrying about Chunhua? Her dad’s the head of the People’s Hospital. Her job’s been secured long ago.”

Someone teased, “Ah, I’m so jealous. If only my dad were a department head, life would be so easy.”

“In your dreams.” Wu Chunhua rolled her eyes at her, then suddenly sneered as if recalling something:

“Take Song Kexing for example—her dad’s the general manager of Yihuo Department Store, and even he didn’t get her a job. Shows how annoying she must be.”

“Why bring her up, Chunhua? Her family’s about to collapse. I heard their house got searched today.”

“Yeah, now her dad is nothing. She’s not even in the same league as you.”

Hearing this, Wu Chunhua beamed with pride.

She loved hearing flattering words like this.

Especially when compared to Song Kexing.

Back in school, Song Kexing always overshadowed her—she had better grades, and looked prettier too.

Even the boy she’d secretly liked for so long was almost snatched away by Song Kexing.

But now? Song Kexing had fallen into the mud, and lost everything.

“Speaking of which, I haven’t seen her in a while. I kinda miss her now.”

Wu Chunhua’s lips curled into a mischievous smile.

The lackey grinned, “What’s the big deal? Let’s go visit her place later, and give her a little ‘consolation’.”

The other girls exchanged knowing smirks.

Suddenly, one of them pointed into the distance and gasped:

“Hey, look! Isn’t that Song Kexing? Why’s her clothes all torn up? And did she cut her hair?”

The lackey said, “That’s her, alright! Must’ve been beaten up. Talk about bad luck.”

Wu Chunhua raised an eyelid, “Guess we don’t have to go looking—she walked right into us like the idiot she is. How dare she show her face here again?”

The lackey jumped off the rock excitedly, itching for action:

“Chunhua, I’ll go drag her over here—just wait!”

The others laughed loudly: “Bull-sis is about to make a move. Poor Song Kexing is done for.”

“Bull-sis” was the nickname for Wu Chunhua’s lackey. She was tall, brawny, and loved to settle things with her fists.

With Song Kexing’s petite frame, she couldn’t even take a single punch. She’d always end up with a face full of bruises and a bloody nose.

This time would surely be worse.

Just as everyone was ready to watch the show, a figure suddenly flew through the air in a perfect arc.

BAM!

The lackey, Bull-sis, crashed hard onto the ground, sending up a cloud of dust.

Everyone was stunned in place.

What just happened? Bull-sis got kicked away?

More importantly, none of them even saw how Song Kexing made her move!

“You dare touch my people? You’re dead meat. Girls—get her!”

With Wu Chunhua’s shout, the others reflexively charged forward.

As they closed in, Song Kexing’s expression remained emotionless.

She lifted her leg—one kick sent a girl flying!

Someone tried to grab her to stop her from fighting.

Song Kexing yanked her by the hair and slammed her to the ground.

Another tried to sneak up from behind.

Song Kexing spun around and delivered a flurry of slaps, sending the girl into a dizzy daze.

In less than three minutes, they were all sprawled on the ground, sobbing and begging for mercy.

Wu Chunhua, hiding behind a rock, saw the situation turn south and tried to make a run for it.

Song Kexing caught up and delivered a spinning kick, sending her flying face-first into the dirt.

“Song Kexing, how dare you hit me! I’m telling my dad—he’ll make sure you pay for this!”

Wu Chunhua lay on the ground in a mess, her face seething with rage.

She truly couldn’t believe it. The girl who used to cower like a dog under her bullying now dared to fight back.

“Punish me?” Song Kexing stepped on her head, grinding her face into the dirt. “Then I’ll deal with you first.”

“Ughhh… sob sob sob…”

Wu Chunhua’s face was buried in the dirt, her mouth full of soil, barely able to breathe.

The others tried to sneak away quietly.

But one glare from Song Kexing froze them in place.

“You—come here!”

She hooked her finger at Bull-sis.

The latter shrank back, trembling as she got to her feet and slowly walked over.

Song Kexing yanked Wu Chunhua up by the hair and said to her:

“Slap her. Ten times. Make it count.”

“I…” The lackey shook her head. “I can’t…”

Her family were just ordinary workers, completely out of Wu Chunhua’s league. That’s why she stuck around as her lackey.

Besides, Wu Chunhua had a vicious temper. If she hit her now, revenge was inevitable.

“You can’t?” Song Kexing sneered. “Then I’ll slap you ten times instead. You can take her punishment.”

“No, please!” the lackey cried in fear.

Song Kexing’s strength was terrifying. Just that one kick earlier had left a deep impression.

She still hadn’t recovered from the pain.

“I’m sorry, Chunhua… I was forced…”

The lackey gritted her teeth and slapped Wu Chunhua ten times—loud, hard slaps.

Wu Chunhua screamed curses and spat out threats.

Song Kexing watched coldly, then turned to another girl and ordered her to give the lackey ten slaps in return.

The lackey’s face swelled red, her expression dark and resentful.

Then, Song Kexing went around the group, having each girl slap the one who had just slapped her.

After the full round, everyone had received ten slaps.

Each girl’s cheeks were swollen, eyes filled with resentment, staring daggers at one another.

Seeing this, Song Kexing let out a chilling laugh.

“Look at you all. So much for your sweet sisterhood—what a joke.”

Back in school, this group constantly bullied the original Song Kexing.

They’d even formed a so-called “Sweet Sisters Club.”

After today, those sweet sisters had become bitter enemies. They’d probably tear each other apart the next time they met.

A dogfight. Quite the spectacle.

“I’m being generous letting you off today. Now scram.”

After speaking, Song Kexing grabbed Wu Chunhua by the hair and dragged her away.

“What are you doing?! Where are you taking me?!”

Wu Chunhua was in so much pain she could barely move, terror flooding her heart.

“Didn’t you want to tattle on me? Let’s go—introduce me to your dear daddy.”

Just ahead was the back entrance to the People’s Hospital, where Wu Chunhua’s father worked.

Wu Chunhua’s eyes lit up.

Whatever Song Kexing’s intentions were, her dad would surely find a way to rescue her.

Across the lake, two figures witnessed the entire scene.

One of them, slightly chubby, turned to the tall man beside him:

“Good lord, boss, are women always this violent when they fight? Slapping each other like that—so brutal!”

His mom had recently called, trying to set him up on a blind date.

If his match turned out to be someone like this, wouldn’t he get beaten every day after marriage?

Terrifying. Women are just too terrifying!

“Let’s go,” said the tall man, taking a long stride forward. “We still have a mission to complete. Stop daydreaming.”

“Got it…” The chubby man scratched his nose awkwardly and quickly followed along…
