The CEO’s Crazy Courtship: Baby Dump Him and Be with Me Chapter 8

Chapter 8: Saving Feiyan

When Feiyan woke up, she found herself bound from head to toe. She glanced around—rusted machinery lay haphazardly abandoned nearby. This was a deserted factory.

“Awake?”

A kidnapper walked in from outside and stood beside the rusted machine. With a press of some unseen button, the corroded contraption suddenly roared to life, emitting a shrill, grating noise.

“Sorry, miss. We don’t actually want to kill you, but someone paid a hefty sum for your life. So…”

“Who sent you?” Feiyan demanded. “If I’m going to die, at least let me know why.”

Feiyan cut them off, her beautiful eyes calm as she studied them, trying to memorize their faces—and the distinctive centipede tattoo on the back of one of their hands.

But only she knew just how panicked she truly was. Her bound hands trembled behind her back.

“Can’t tell you that. Sure, we kill for money, but we keep our word,” the kidnapper said indifferently, as if they had done this kind of abduction and murder countless times before.

They were desperadoes, unafraid of the law.  (Desperate)

Realizing she wouldn’t get any answers, Feiyan stopped asking. She needed to focus on escaping. Her trembling hands groped blindly along the ground—until suddenly, her fingers brushed against a rusted piece of metal.

Her heart leaped. Clutching the metal shard tightly, she began sawing at the ropes with all her strength.

Just a little more time, and she would cut through.

At that moment, a scrawny kidnapper who looked like a monkey walked in. His gaze slid over Feiyan with a greasy, lecherous glint.

“Boss, this woman’s got a pretty face and a killer body. Since she’s gonna die anyway, why not let me have some fun first? It’s been ages since I last had a taste,” he said, rubbing his hands together as he strode toward Feiyan.

The leader, glancing at the time and seeing it was still early, shrugged indifferently. “You’ve got half an hour. Whether you finish or not, after that, she’s going straight into the shredder.”

With that, he walked out.

As the scrawny, monkey-like kidnapper approached her, rubbing his hands together, Feiyan’s heart sank to the pit of her stomach.

She kicked her legs, trying to push herself backward, but there was only a solid wall behind her—nowhere left to retreat.

“Don’t… don’t come any closer,” Feiyan pleaded, her face deathly pale as a wave of despair rose from the depths of her heart.

Her slender, pale legs thrashed helplessly, only fueling the kidnapper’s hunger.

“Don’t be scared, sweetheart,” he sneered. “Big Brother’s gonna make sure you’ll die happy.”

With that, he lunged at Feiyan.

A violent rip of fabric tore through the silence of the area.

The hem of her dress was torn open up to her thigh, exposing her pale, slender legs. Then the straps of her dress snapped, revealing the smooth curve of her shoulder.

“Stop…!” Feiyan was on the verge of despair.

**BANG—**

The factory door burst open with a violent crash. The kidnapper’s leader was flung inside like a ragdoll, collapsing to the ground, barely breathing.

“Who’s there?!” The scrawny kidnapper lost all interest in tormenting Feiyan and spun around to face the entrance.

Tears streaming down her face, Feiyan let out a shaky breath of relief. From her position in the corner, she couldn’t see what was happening outside, but whatever it was, it had bought her a chance to survive.

Frantic, she sawed at the ropes and strained against her bindings, ignoring the blood welling up where the coarse fibers bit into her skin.

Just then, the scrawny kidnapper let out a bloodcurdling scream, making Feiyan flinch violently.

But the ropes were too thick—no matter how hard she struggled, they wouldn’t break.

Heavy footsteps echoed from outside, growing closer. A fine sheen of sweat coated Feiyan’s pale face as she held her breath, her eyes locked on the corner.

Then—a pair of long, elegant legs stepped into view.

Her gaze lifted, and there he was: that familiar, arrogant, devastatingly handsome face. The man strode toward her with unhurried grace.
