Chapter 6: Su Jingwen Cries for Help

“I didn’t expect this, really didn’t expect it—a fool can treat injuries too! Then what are you waiting for? Apply the medicine to my butt!”

Tian Zhenzhen was so excited that her tongue got twisted. In a hurry, she yanked down her pants and exposed the scar on her butt.

She got into a crawling position with her rear lifted high, urging him like her life depended on it:
“Dumb Egg, hurry up and apply the medicine! I can’t wait, come on!”

Ding Quandan looked at her curvy figure, and his eyes instantly lit up:
“Wow, beautiful—damn, really beautiful!”

Still, no matter how good Tian Zhenzhen looked, she couldn’t compare to his sister-in-law, Su Jingwen.

Tian Zhenzhen wasn’t as tall, her facial features weren’t as refined, and even her slim waist didn’t match Su Jingwen’s. As for her skin, it was a level below too.

“Dumb Egg, what do you know about beauty? As long as it’s a woman, you say she’s pretty—what a complete idiot!”

Tian Zhenzhen shook her head and sighed. In her heart, she thought it was such a shame—if Ding Quandan weren’t a fool, he would’ve already graduated from Haicheng Medical University. Maybe he’d even be working as a doctor in a big city hospital. What a pity. If he weren’t a fool, he would’ve made her his wife a long time ago!

Just look—any normal man, seeing her like this, wouldn’t be able to resist jumping her!

Only Ding Quandan didn’t cross any lines. Not because he didn’t want to—he simply didn’t understand.

Give him a woman, and he wouldn’t even know what to do with her!

Sigh, she couldn’t possibly throw herself at him just because she was feeling horny, right?

She wasn’t some desperate tramp!

Ding Quandan scooped up a handful of fragrant medicinal paste from a big bowl and was just about to apply it to her injury when suddenly—he froze in place, like he’d been hit with a paralysis spell. His hand hung in midair. After a long pause, he hesitated and said,
“Zhenzhen, you promised two thousand yuan. Can you really pay up?”

Hearing him still worried about that, Tian Zhenzhen’s vision darkened. She almost fainted from anger:
“You dumbass, we’re not some rich family, but in this village, our standard of living is upper-middle class, okay? I don’t have ten grand, but I do have two grand. Don’t worry!”

Afraid he wouldn’t believe her, Tian Zhenzhen sat up with a huff, slid off the bed, and went to the cabinet. She pulled out a wad of cash and stuffed it into his hands:
“Here’s one thousand first, I’ll withdraw the rest tomorrow!”

In her mind, she thought: Anyway, you’re a fool. Once you treat the scar on my butt, I’ll set up a honey trap and make sure you suffer a silent loss.

Who told you to be a fool? If I don’t take advantage of you a little, I’m wasting my intelligence!

Wow, so much money!

Money is a good thing—a wonderful thing!

For the first time in his life, Ding Quandan had earned money with his own skills. Instantly, pride surged in his chest!

A man who earns money naturally stands up straighter without realizing it.

A powerful aura burst out from him!

Especially his eyes—they shone brightly with pride and excitement!

“Remember, you still owe me one thousand!”

He then applied a thick layer of medicinal paste to Tian Zhenzhen’s injury. The paste was very sticky—once applied, it stuck like it had taken root.

But Ding Quandan suddenly grew wary: what if Tian Zhenzhen went back on her word after she healed?

Thinking this, he secretly pulled out a small porcelain bottle from his pocket.

Inside the porcelain bottle was a golden silkworm.

He had borrowed a Gold Silkworm Grass from the medicine woman, Hong Yingtao, once before and discovered that golden silkworms had an extraordinary ability to absorb toxins. He had used one to cure his sister-in-law’s allergic reaction—but instead of returning all of it, he secretly kept one silkworm for himself.

Now, this terrifying thing finally came in handy!

Since Tian Zhenzhen’s face was buried in the pillow and she had no eyes on her back, Ding Quandan seized the moment and released the golden silkworm onto her butt. After wriggling a few times, the golden silkworm burrowed straight into her subcutaneous tissue and nested inside.

A golden silkworm could save a life—or take one.

If Tian Zhenzhen dared to play any tricks on him, she’d be in for a nasty surprise!

“Ah!”

At that moment, Tian Zhenzhen screamed. Her legs began to tremble uncontrollably as she cried out,
“Dumb Egg, how are you applying the medicine?! It hurts—hurts like hell! I can’t take it, help me stop the pain, hurry!”

“Zhenzhen, it only hurts for a little bit. Bear with it and it’ll pass, okay? Stop screaming, please!”

Ding Quandan was feeling anxious—this woman was yelling so loudly, someone might think he was doing something indecent at the Liang household!

“It’s easy for you to say—it’s not your butt suffering!”

Suddenly, Tian Zhenzhen turned her head, cupped his face, and kissed him right on the lips.

Caught off guard, Ding Quandan ended up in a full mouth-to-mouth kiss. Tian Zhenzhen immediately shifted her attention and stopped complaining about the pain.

A few minutes later, Ding Quandan abruptly snapped out of it and pushed her away:
“Why did you kiss me?!”

Tian Zhenzhen, now pain-free and even looking a little pleased, replied:
“Wow, that’s amazing. It doesn’t hurt anymore—it’s kind of ticklish, actually!”

“Lie down for two hours, and don’t mess up the medicine paste.”

After giving her those instructions, Ding Quandan, clutching the 10,000 yuan he had just earned, turned to head home and look for his sister-in-law.

But as soon as he stepped out of the Liang family’s yard, he saw Ye Ziyan, the village’s livestreaming girl, rushing up to him. She grabbed his arm and tugged him along as she breathlessly reported:
“Dumb Egg! Ding Daming is bullying your sister-in-law again—go save her, quick!”

“Ding… Ding Daming? Who’s that?”

Of course Ding Quandan knew who Ding Daming was. He was just pretending in front of Ye Ziyan.

“Huh?”

Ye Ziyan let out a breathy laugh, clearly exasperated. She smacked his butt and said,
“You dumb fool, your ‘silly disease’ is getting worse! Ding Daming is the village chief of Baisha Village—the village chief! He’s had his eye on your sister-in-law Su Jingwen for a while. He’s at your house to collect a debt!”

“Debt?”

Now Ding Quandan was stunned. He didn’t remember his sister-in-law owing any money.

But Ye Ziyan sounded so confident—could it be that Su Jingwen had borrowed money from Ding Daming?

“Sigh, Dumb Egg, when will your ‘silly disease’ get a bit better? You’re this clueless—how are you supposed to protect your sister-in-law? Here’s the deal: your sworn little sister, Bai Jiatong, got seriously ill last month and needed 20,000 yuan for emergency surgery. Your sister-in-law didn’t have the money and had no choice but to borrow it from Ding Daming. Get it now?”

As soon as Ye Ziyan said this, every nerve in Ding Quandan’s body tensed up.

No wonder—his sister-in-law Su Jingwen never told him anything bad, only the good stuff. She figured telling him would be useless anyway. Better to bear the burden on her own.

“Oh… thank you, Miss Ziyan! I’m going to save my sister-in-law!”

With that, Ding Quandan’s feet seemed to sprout wheels. He took off in a blur and raced back home.

Just as he arrived at his doorstep, he suddenly heard his sister-in-law screaming for help:
“Ding Daming, why are you holding me?! Let go of me, you bastard! If Quandan finds out, he won’t let you off! Ahhh! Somebody help me!”
