Chapter 18: I Think I Look Pretty Much Like a Top Student

What else could he possibly be doing?

Su Tian slowly came back to her senses and realized they were standing too close. She took a step back.

Jiang Chiyu stood there lazily, one hand in his pocket, the other hidden behind his back.

This guy often slacked off, showing little discipline. Yet he never came across as uncouth. Whether sitting or standing, he maintained an elegant bearing.

No matter what he did, he looked utterly captivating—Just like a male fox spirit.

Su Tian took another step back.

Jiang Chiyu noticed but remained silent. He brought his right hand to his mouth. As if done laughing, his whole demeanor carried a relaxed languor.

He had a white paper stick in his mouth, but it didn’t affect his speech. He maintained that familiar, alluring yet somewhat annoying tone unique to him:

“Tian Tian, which school rule states that getting caught eating lollipops results in a major demerit?”

When Su Tian clearly saw what he was holding, her entire face burned red.

She was so angry and embarrassed that she couldn’t speak, only wanting to turn and leave.

But an arm reached out and firmly grabbed her sleeve. After she stopped trying to leave, he tactfully released her.

“Don’t go.” Jiang Chiyu coaxed in a low voice, with a touch of gentleness.

The next moment, he pressed something into Su Tian’s hand.

Su Tian looked down, and heard his alluring laugh—

“Brother Ah Yu has another candy here.”

The young man started holding back his laughter again said, “Have it, and don’t tell anyone.”

“I still want to get recommended for university, you know.”

Su Tian held the lychee-flavored lollipop in her hand, completely frustrated: “Jiang Chiyu!”

The young man’s laughter seemed to materialize joy itself, echoing across the playground while easily affecting her mood.

The chemistry teacher who was lecturing turned to look at the door, “Why are you so late?”

Even the chemistry teacher couldn’t help but ask her: “That female student in the last row, do you have a stiff neck?”

Zhou Ying nodded, looking embarrassed.

Su Tian wasn’t very good at chemistry.

To be precise, she wasn’t good at any of the secondary science subjects.

Compared to these subjects that required mental gymnastics, she was better at memorization, so overall she was stronger in liberal arts than sciences.

Right until lunch break, she was either busy asking others about problems or teaching Zhou Ying questions she didn’t understand, while also finding time to go to the office to fetch Chinese homework and distribute it.

“I think I look pretty much like a top student.”

Su Tian pressed her lips together.

She suddenly remembered Jiang Chiyu’s perfect score in math.

That was a perfect score! A perfect score she had never seen before!

Although Jiang Chiyu only took three subjects in this monthly exam and the scores weren’t entered into the system, with math scores this good, the other science subjects couldn’t possibly be bad.

Currently, it seemed only she knew that besides getting first place in Chinese for the whole school, Jiang Chiyu also got perfect scores in math and English.

But she always felt Jiang Chiyu wasn’t up to any good. Her eyes darted around as she said, “You’re just annoyed by me coming and going all the time, right?”
