Chapter 24: Current Level is Level Four
Feng Xiaohan was shocked; the writing was actually his name. He had written the three characters “Feng Xiaohan” countless times, yet he still couldn’t recognize his daughter’s handwriting.
“The writing… has profound meaning.” This was the best compliment Feng Xiaohan could come up with.
It seemed he needed to make sure his daughter practiced her writing more seriously.
Yu Yu nodded proudly.
“This is for Father.” Yu Yu stuffed her ink treasure into her Father’s hands.
Feng Xiaohan glanced at it a couple of times and then neatly folded it away.
“Yu Yu also drew a family portrait.” Yu Yu brought over her drawing.
Feng Xiaohan felt a sense of anticipation and opened it. The instant he did, his pupils dilated.
Hmm…
Which chaotic little figure represented him?
The shortest one should be Yu Yu; next to her should be himself.
“Is this me?” Feng Xiaohan pointed at a very simplistic little figure and asked.
“Yes, hehe, that’s how Yu Yu drew you.” Yu Yu beamed with pride, pleased that her Father recognized her drawing.
For the first time, Feng Xiaohan was at a loss for words, eventually letting out a long sigh.
Ah, thinking of his high-ranking status, it had been a long time since he felt this kind of hesitation.
“Clean up; we’ll prepare for dinner soon.” Feng Xiaohan patted his daughter’s little head.
“Okay.” Yu Yu hurriedly began to pick up her mess.
Feng Xiaohan looked at the ink stains on his military books and sighed deeply.
Today, he felt like he was running out of sighs.
Yu Yu glanced at her Father with a guilty look.
Feng Xiaohan picked up the inkstone, which had fallen and cracked.
His beautiful crane-patterned inkstone!
No matter, as long as his daughter wasn’t hurt, everything was just material.
Yu Yu worked hard to tidy up the ink, paper, and brushes she had messed up.
“Father, I’m done cleaning.”
Feng Xiaohan nodded.
Yu Yu stood behind her Father, trying to push the wheelchair.
“Ah!” Yu Yu used all her strength to push.
Why was Yu Yu’s strength so small? She couldn’t even move her Father!
Feng Xiaohan subtly turned the wheelchair a bit.
“Keep going.”
Yu Yu felt the wheelchair move, so she put her head down and pushed with all her might.
“Father, I moved it!”
“Great job,” Feng Xiaohan praised her.
Yu Yu pushed her Father to the table, sweating from the effort.
“Father, hurry and eat the osmanthus cake. Sister Qingyi made it; it’s really delicious!” Yu Yu eagerly introduced it to her Father.
Feng Xiaohan took a piece and tried it.
It was a bit sweet, but still acceptable.
“Delicious.” Feng Xiaohan nodded.
“Prince, Fifth Young Master had to leave in a hurry. He asked me to inform you.” Qing’an reported from outside the door.
Feng Xiaohan frowned. These young rascals were always rushing back and forth.
What urgent matter could require such haste?
“Got it.”
His daughter was the best; at least she would say goodbye to him.
“By the way, send a few more shadow guards to Wujie.” Since it was an urgent matter, he might need extra hands for protection.
“Understood.” Qing’an acknowledged and went to make arrangements.
Yu Yu sighed; she hadn’t even seen her Brother and Sister yet. They were so busy!
“Father, what are we having for dinner tonight?” Yu Yu looked up and asked.
“Lotus root soup and steamed meat.” Feng Xiaohan took the cake from his daughter’s hands and set it aside.
“Don’t eat too many pastries before dinner.”
“Okay.” Yu Yu wiped her little hands on her Father’s sleeve.
Feng Xiaohan felt a throb in his temples. His daughter was so carefree and unbothered.
Ah, another sigh.
【Level unlocked, current level: Level Four.】 A mechanical electronic voice sounded.
Feng Xiaohan was filled with confusion. It had only been a few days since the last unlock, and now he had reached the next level.
He hadn’t spent any money or bought anything in these past few days. Last time he speculated that it was because he bought out the shop for his daughter, but recently, he really hadn’t bought anything.
It seemed his last guess was incorrect. So what was the key to unlocking levels?
This was the first time Feng Xiaohan found himself utterly perplexed.
Yu Yu looked at her Father, who seemed lost in thought.
“Father?”
Feng Xiaohan was deep in thought and didn’t respond to his daughter.
Yu Yu waved her little hand in front of her Father’s eyes.
Her Father still didn’t react.
“Father has turned into a dazed bird.” Yu Yu sighed; Father was so dazed.
“Feng Wuyu, don’t call your Father names all the time.” Feng Xiaohan gently tapped his daughter’s head.
This daughter of his was truly audacious, first calling him a stinky Father and now a dazed bird.
Yu Yu covered her forehead; she always got caught by her Father.
Father was too clever.
“Prince, the meal is ready.” Wenshu’s voice sounded from outside the door.
Yu Yu’s eyes lit up at the sound.
She eagerly pushed her Father.
Time for dinner!
Wenshu heard the sound of the wheelchair and quickly opened the door.
Then, he stared dumbfounded as a little child pushed his Prince past him.
Wenshu was so shocked he froze, not daring to move.
Who was that child?
Where did she come from?
“Prince…” Wenshu called out blankly.
Feng Xiaohan and Yu Yu turned around at the same time.
Yu Yu saw the dazed expression on this brother’s face and thought he looked like a dazed bird too.
“She… is…?” Wenshu pointed at Yu Yu, his expression dazed.
Huh? Yu Yu also pointed at herself.
“Me? I’m Yu Yu.”
Feng Xiaohan was also stunned. Wenshu could see Yu Yu? Before, he couldn’t.
“You can see her?”
Wenshu nodded in response.
Feng Xiaohan frowned, pondering. Could it be because of the level unlock?
Forget it for now; he couldn’t let outsiders know about his daughter’s existence.
“Wenshu, keep the Princess’s existence a secret. No one can leak this information.” Feng Xiaohan instructed.
“Understood.” Wenshu bowed.
So she was the Princess.
Wenshu took two steps, then suddenly turned back.
“This subordinate, Wenshu, greets the Princess.” Wenshu bowed respectfully to Yu Yu.
Yu Yu looked at her Father in confusion.
“Say ‘Rise’,” Feng Xiaohan quietly reminded his daughter.
“Rise.” Yu Yu said softly.
“Thank you, Princess.” Wenshu bowed and then left.
After Wenshu left, Yu Yu looked at her Father, puzzled.
“Father, was that brother playing a game with Yu Yu just now?”
“No, he was bowing to you, showing his submission.” Feng Xiaohan explained.
“What is submission?” Yu Yu didn’t understand the word.
“It means that this person, perhaps because of your power, your status, your abilities, or your wealth, has bowed down and become your subject.”
After hearing her Father’s explanation, Yu Yu’s mind was in a jumble. Father’s explanation was so complicated.
“Father, Yu Yu doesn’t understand.”
Feng Xiaohan and his daughter stared at each other for three seconds.
“Okay, never mind, let’s go eat.”
“Okay.” Yu Yu trotted off to the dining hall.
Leaving her Father in his wheelchair alone.
“She forgets about her Father as soon as there’s food,” Feng Xiaohan secretly complained about his daughter.
Then, he turned his wheelchair towards the dining hall.
When he arrived at the dining hall, Yu Yu realized her Father hadn’t followed, so she ran back to get him.
Feng Xiaohan felt a sense of relief; his daughter was still thinking of him.
After dinner, Feng Xiaohan had Qing’an brought water to bathe his daughter.
Qing’an saw Yu Yu for the first time and also froze for a long time before reacting.
Yu Yu looked at Qing’an with bright, sparkling eyes.
This brother was really handsome.
“I greet the Princess.” Qing’an bowed.
“Rise.” Yu Yu said in her milky voice.
“Princess, please come this way. This subordinate will help you bathe and change your clothes.”
“Okay.” Yu Yu obediently walked ahead, Qing’an following behind, looking at the little Princess’s round back.
The little Princess was so cute.
Qing’an helped Yu Yu take off her hair ornaments and then tied her hair up with a ribbon to keep it from getting wet.
